My to go order came in a nice bag
Stephanie V.

I ate here for the first time yesterday. I got a 2 protein poke bowl with spicy tuna & salmon & an original milk tea with tapioca pearls. I spent about $20 not including tip. The place itself is really cute & well taken care of. They had nice decor & some background music on. There's tons of seating & free wifi so it would be a great study or meeting spot. 5/5. First, the boba drink was delicious. I got a small, which definitely was small but still a decent size. I tend to drink fast so next time I'll probably get a larger size. 3/5. Second, the poke bowl was a nice size & good quality. The reason I'm not rating it super high is because personally, I'm not a huge fan of when sushi fish or any kind of dish tastes fishy & honestly not a huge fan of poker overall but I wanted a lighter dish this visit. The spice was lacking in the salmon & tuna & they both tasted a little fishy/had odd textures plus a concerning bright color which I dislike. However, everything was fresh & nice portions, but I would definitely prefer more sauce in the cups & probably a different choice of proteins. I also hate how the leftovers didn't keep. Everything wilted in the fridge & I had to throw away the majority of the bowl which was a waste of money. Next time, I will probably get something else. If you are a big fan of poke, I think you would enjoy their bowls because they are fresh & they allow you to pick a ton of toppings included in the price. But if you're like me & have a love hate relationship with them, I'd definitely get something else. The menu & ambiance were great & the staff was super nice. Definitely a place worth trying out!

Salmon Poke Bowl with 1 Protein Strawberry Fruit Tea

The food was good especially for Athens! I got a rice bowl with salmon. There are many options for toppings and for the price of one protein ($11.49) I think it's a pretty good deal. It's a healthier option than what's offered in this area and it was filling. I ordered a small fruit tea (strawberry green tea) with tapioca balls and it was good. There isn't actual fruit in the drink though. The customer service was great the workers are so sweet and patient. But what really caught my attention was the cute ass decorations! Pandas everywhere, forest green and gold furniture, and plenty of seating. It's a cute place for sure!

Bubble tea was good and place was cutely decorated. I'm moving to Athens soon - can't wait to try the food, especially the ramen.

Super cute new boba place in Athens! I got a large matcha milk tea with boba and it tasted just like the boba back at home. I was super relieved to actually have good boba in Athens. The Thai tea tasted like it came straight out of a Thai restaurant and was very tasty. The price was typical, not super expensive and they give a good amount. I did get less sugar and ice in my drink and it tasted perfect (I'm a huge sweet tooth). The decorations and vibe reminded me of boba spots back on Pleasant Hill. The workers are really friendly and give great advice on drinks! The food also looked super fresh and I will definitely be trying some next time! Totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a good bite to eat and some yummy boba!

Rice Poke Bowl with 2 Proteins (I mixed it before I took the pic-- they give it to you looking much nicer!)

First off, the vibes are so cute here!! It's a great place to grab something to eat, do homework, or hang out with friends! The food is absolutely delicious, especially their poke bowls! As for boba, the passion fruit black tea with popping passion fruit boba is absolutely amazing-- I'm not remotely a boba person but it's so good! The staff here is also super sweet!

Finally a boba tea spot in Athens, Georgia. After being disappointed with the boba te quality at a few other spots I was pleased when this one open. I ordered a large passion fruit tea with mango jelly and passion fruit boba. It was immaculate. Their menu is full of variety and also contains a sushi bar + ramen bowls. I look forward to trying the entire menu!

Athens newest bubble tea shop is a great place to stop and warm up after the Dawgs crush another opponent. Great ramen, rice bowls and tons of options for bubble teas, fruit teas, and more

I love it here. The Ramen and roast pork rice bowl is so good. We come here to get different tea, mostly green. Great place to go and grab drinks.

The best bubble tea shop in town! I'm a huge bubble tea fan and this is my favorite in Athens. Tastes amazing, toppings are always fresh and the service is top notch! Would highly-recommend and will definitely be back.

Miso ramen with chicken, corn, egg and green onion

Wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Never been here before or anything like it. I ordered just randomly and got the first thing I saw. This place is so cute and calming. Love you Asian culture decorated everywhere.

Great bubble tea. My son loves it, so I love it. I think it's a great addition to downtown Athens. Not much else to say.

It's been more than 20 years since I was a law student at UGA, and I've considered 5 & 10 to be…read morethe high water mark for Athens dining this entire time. Nestled in a gorgeous building that was once a residential house, the restaurant has a gorgeous and cozy ambience that makes you feel like you're visiting with friends from the moment you enter. The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been less than impressed with the often-inventive dishes. I highly recommend starting with their cast iron cornbread. It sounds simple, but it's truly elevated. Right now, the sweet potato brown butter pierogies are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hazelnut bread pudding is rich and a perfect blend of sweetness and cream. The waitstaff is top notch and you'll receive better, more attentive service here than at restaurants with much larger price tags in Atlanta. They also have an impressive cocktail program and wine list. On the "it's the little things" list, the candles 5 & 10 uses in the restroom are outstanding! They sell them and they're spendy, but worth it.

I've been wanting to go to Five and Ten for about a year and it did not disappoint! We sat outside…read moreon the porch. At first, I thought I was sad I wasn't sitting inside because the inside is so gorgeous. But the ambience on the porch was absolutely perfect. I did go inside and check out all the rooms. Our servers were great and all the food was delicious. The pimento cheese is so good! Do not miss it! The Cornbread and butter was fabulous! We had the steak, the pork chop, the gnocchi and a smash burger. And everything was AWESOME!

After taking my first bite my initial thought was 'I will never order this again". I got the pork…read morebelly rice bowl and I absolutely and fully regret eating it. I feel gross and it was such a let down. If y'all know me, you know I'm big on being greeted within the first few seconds of walking into an establishment. The gal didn't say anything to me, just stood at the register waiting for me to order. I asked her what she would recommended between the pork belly bowl or the curry chicken noodle soup and she just said it just depends on if I wanted noodles or rice.. that should Have been my first clue. I hate leaving bad reviews... but this is not my first visit here. The first time I ordered the dumplings with chili sauce, and the older lady was super sweet and it was super delicious. My only qualms were how FILTHY the trash can was and how empty the place was... I was the only customer. It was the same this go around too... no customers, and the trash can was STILL FILTHY!! (And I know they're not busy enough to not get up off their butts and clean!!!) I digress.... The reason I feel grossed out is because the fried egg was barely fried, and there was no seasoning or pizazz to it at all... just a sunny side up on rice and pork belly. The pork belly itself was not fresh. It must have been cooked either earlier in the day or a few days before. I know this because of how the fat in the pork belly tasted. It wasn't cooked well either... there was no crisp to the top part whatsoever and the fatty part.... Well that was the grossest part. It was that gummy slimy texture and that is anything but pleasant. I'm really hoping this place turns itself around.. because I do dig the vibe, but they need to get un lazy and start caring a little more. And I'm not seeing their vision... are they a donut shop.... Hot dog shop... or Asian food...??? I think they would attract more business with a more definitive theme. Like I said, I hate leaving poor reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes they see it. (Oh ya, because calling with a critique is out of the question.... They don't answer their phone!! Tried calling to put in my order). Come Mochinut, do better!!! PLEASE!!!

Indonesian fare is definitely not what I was thinking about today, but after living in Atlanta and…read moreknowing there are a lot of culinary choices, I decided to run by after seeing a new addition on the Mochinut Athens Menu -- they have Indonesian curry chicken on the menu, along with the Indonesian version of hainanese soy-sauce chicken! I was not disappointed except that Chef V said she had to stop doing the Indonese chicken (look it up) and make everything white meat for the locals in Athens. I hope that changes. The soy ginger sauce was excellent. The curry chicken is a definite try for those who would like to sample something different and hot and tasty! In short: Try the spicy dumplings, the curry chicken and the soy sauce chicken dishes here and maybe have a nice pandam mochi donut at the end!
