Exchanged some $ here the other day. They responded one email relatively quickly, then nothing, and I had to call a few times. The store is actually almost like a bank. The exchange rate I got was pretty good, I paid using Interac, which was straightforward. They weren't exactly very friendly, however I got what I needed. They do offer free 30 mins parking, but you have to go into the underground lot, which is quite cramped. They will give you a card to insert before you insert your parking ticket at the exit. read more

This review is for North York branch of Taheri exchange. I'm really surprised by the negative reviews! I have been to this place several times and was very happy about the exchange rate they gave (they were not joking when they say they offer the best rate in Toronto!), as well as the service. They even stayed open past the closing time for me when I got stuck in TTC! I definitively recommend calling ahead to make sure they have enough of the currency you want, also you get to lock-in the exchange rate. Try this place... you'll not regret! read more

The people working there are extremely rude and unhelpful! They put you on hold for long periods of time, don't call you back when promised. Seems like customers are a nuisance to them. When I needed further assistance with my exchange transaction and manager picked up the phone, he said "So when are you going to pick up your money, 'cause we are going to charge the interest?" I said "Excuse me?", he said "What for?" I was never notified that the money had arrived to the store and there was an interest charged. He said the fact I didn't know was irrelevant... The entire conversation was more like a bullying of me. I will never do any business with them and suggest the same to others. read more

Very poor service on transferring money to Iran. Nobody answers properly to questions and delays are unacceptable.

Terrible service. I called asking for exchange rates. The person on the phone answered with a very obnoxious and condescending tone. He kept on calling "bro", which made him sound all the more annoying. I wanted to give him a bank draft to exchange a large amount of money and wire overseas. He refused my request and insisted I give him close to $20,000 in cash, which was suspicious. He also refused to wire my money even though their company offers this service. He insisted that he would exchange the money and give me US currency in cash. Again, this insistence on handing me large wads of cash makes this place seem suspicious. He couldn't understand that I need to wire this money and giving me large amounts of cash would not help me. His attitude made him seem like he was doing me a favour by ignoring my request. I eventually convinced him to listen to me and he said he would call me back. He didn't call me back and I had to call their office. He eventually responded by saying he couldn't do this transaction for me because he doesn't trust me since I called his office to get a prompt response from him. I hung up in disgust at his attitude and sense of self-importance. "Bro" whoever you are, if you're reading this, I hope you get a life and learn some manners. Overall, this place has unprofessional service and staff with a bloated sense of self-importance. Go somewhere else and don't waste your time here. The hour I spent on the phone listening to their pathetic staff-person meant currency exchange rates changed and I lost out of a better rate at other exchange companies. read more

AVOID THEM IF YOU LIKE YOUR MONEY. The nice, polite people in the Toronto office politely lie, politely hold on to your money, politely run you around for months. They ask you to deposit your Rial in their Tehran agent's name then they tell you dollar will be mailed to you tomorrow, then within 10 days then within a month then "there's no time limit for it!". They have an office in Toronto, Canada and one in Iran whose employees similarly lie and run you around buying time to keep your money. They call themselves "Taheri Exchange" but the true word should be "Taheri Receipt & Keep." They're pretty much acting like a mob. God knows what else they do with people's money. read more

Very unprofessional and very untrustworthy company to do business with. I exchanged a large amount of money with them and they put my money on hold for much longer than needed and when I called them back a few times to inquire whether my money was ready or not they hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. They are there to rip you off and use your money and don't expect to get a level of service remotely close to your least expectations of an exchange service. 3 weeks ago I was sent some money from Iran and they were told I could receive it next day. It took me almost three weeks to have the money in my account. They never called me to explain what was happening and it seems in that office they don't know the meaning of the word "sorry", Worst service I have ever received in Canada. Terrible place. Absolutely unprofessional attitude of over the phone and in person by the middle Eastern guys on the front. I was told they put in a quick order for the currency I requested and told me I will get the money by the EOD. Great, no calls received by any person, next day called in asked about the money.. puts me on hold and then says oh the exchange doesn't have the currency I was looking for.. told the guy it took them 1.5 days to figure that out .. wasted my time and money.. the guy on the phone and in person was talking in a way like he was doing me a favor by responding to my questions.. great potential for the business, garbage customer service idiots (middle Eastern guys) - should not be talking to customers on the front end because personally they don't know how to .. stay away from this place. read more

Called to inquire about exchanging a specific currency. The operator was thoroughly unprofessional in his mannerisms. He did eventually make some suggestions on where I could get my money exchanged but his tone, the way he directed his questions were rude and seemingly disinterested, which is unacceptable for any business. I have been to this place several times in 2016. Before I went in for the first time, I called to request for a quote, and I received a rate much more favorable than the banks. The person who answered was very courteous, and asked me if I would like to lock in the rate. Unfortunately, I figured I could not get there in time before they close since I was at a job site. I went in on a Saturday, and the rate didn't change much. I went back a couple more times, and their rate is extremely competitive. read more

First of all....this company does not know what customer service is! It should start from your initial call but initial call ended with a worst customer service I ever dealt with. I say that because I, myself works in customer service.
