They had the amount of Euros that I was looking to purchase and the rate was really good. There was only a slightly higher than 2% premium on top of the actual exchange rates. If you purchase more than C$1,000 in currency, you can come back to the same location and exchange back at the same rate that you purchased at within 30 days with the original receipt. Very upset regarding inaccurate information provided by staff at Kantor Currency Exchange at 2310…read moreBloor Street West and Manager Lelyana Shevchenko's refusal to accept responsibility for the misinformation provided by staff. I am a non-Indian foreigner travelling on vacation to India. I asked the staff at Kantor if, as a foreign tourist, I could bring rupees into India. She said she thought yes, saying that Kantor frequently converts Canadian cash to rupees. Based on her advise, I completed the transaction. Before travelling, I consulted with the tour company, who were advised by the Indian Consulate, that non-nationals are not permitted to carry rupees into the country. When I advised Kantor regarding the misinformation I'd received from their staff, they refused to fully refund my money. The manager stated it was not their staff's responsibility to know or give accurate advise, and alternatively insisted that the information they'd provided was correct. The only recourse they offered was to buy back the rupees I'd purchased at a different rate which resulted in me losing a significant of money. I have previously made many purchases through Kantor, however based on this experience, I will no longer do business with them and do not recommend their services to others.

This particular client entered 30 minutes after I had been there and was escorted into the area where the tellers are . She was not an employee. I said to the staff "what am I, chopped liver". No responses were made. Shortly after another teller asked me if she could help me and I stepped forward after returning to the long line up. I asked to exchange Canadian dollars for Euros. She said they didn't have any. I called Knightsbridge when I got home and got a much lower conversion rate and extremely friendly service. I will always use Knightsbridge from now on Michael Greenhill 4169035895 mikegreenhill@rogers.com code

I came here after learning that TD does not carry Mexican pesos. They need to be ordered 3-5 days…read morein advance. The transaction was pretty straight-forward. I brought my bf with me since my math skills aren't great. One thing that I did not like was that rates were NOT posted. Not even for CAD-US, CAD-EURO, the standard stuff. As a customer, I would prefer that this was done as opposed to taking someone's word for it. Also no receipt was provided, but I don't know if this is standard procedure. I did get what I came for, however, there were no larger bills. So perhaps you may want to call ahead of time to make sure they carry the currency that you are looking for! Convenient location with parking though.

STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND TO THIS CHEATING PLACE, worst experience ever by cheating you MONEY…read more Dont go to this place. The exchange rate is higher than others but that is not the major problem. The issue of this store is the cheating staff. The staff count the money purposely wrong, and gave me 100 less USD. She was first counting some $20 USD by 1,2,3,4,5 (100), 1,2,3,4,5 (200), 1,2,3,4,5 (400), etc. By counting like this way, you will easily being distracted by the number and didnt get the right number. I didn't disclose her at the first place, and then I ask her to count it again, and she did the same cheat way to count the wrong number. When I disclose her cheating action, she looks calm and didn't say sorry at the first place, and then she walked away and get the remaining 100 USD, and apologized. This looks like she is doing this frequently and didn't feel any guilty after doing this trick. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND TO THIS CHEATING PLACE, worst experience ever by cheating you MONEY.
