The issue of this store is the cheating staff. The staff count the money purposely wrong, and gave me 100 less USD. She was first counting some $20 USD by 1,2,3,4,5 (100), 1,2,3,4,5 (200), 1,2,3,4,5 (400), etc. By counting like this way, you will easily being distracted by the number and didnt get the right number. I didn't disclose her at the first place, and then I ask her to count it again, and she did the same cheat way to count the wrong number. When I disclose her cheating action, she looks calm and didn't say sorry at the first place, and then she walked away and get the remaining 100 USD, and apologized. To top it of, he promised to BUY back the left over currency at the rate posted today, but when I asked to have that in WRITING, he told me it was not necessary. I urge anyone in need of a currency exchange to AVOID this business. On previous visits to this currency exchange, I was provided with a good exchange rate, a reasonable fee for my transaction, and courteous service. This is what happened today. My request was to purchase CAD with American Express Traveler's Checks, purchase additional CAD with USD, and then purchase a money order in CAD. The teller referred me to her superior. I gave the superior my travelers checks and ID and was asked to wait a few minutes while she disappeared to "verify" my request. After I waited for 15 minutes, she re-appeared and offered the following "deal". I would be given an exchange rate ,05 USD less than today's posted rate for CAD exchange, I would be charged an additional 5.00 for every 100.00 involved in the transaction and I would be charged 3.00 for each money order I needed (as there is a maximum amount per money order that they sell). In short, they wanted to charge me nearly 200.00 for this transaction. No thanks. read more

I have used these guys a bunch of times as I do a lot of business in the US. I have found their rates to be by far the best in Toronto on USD and other major currencies. They'll do transactions of any size in a very short period of time. I have found them to be better at the larger branch at Yonge and Finch and a little slower in the Markham branch. You are likely to get better rates if you call them ahead of time than if you go in without calling for some reason... My only complaint is that they could not deposit money into my Swiss dollar account at HSBC for some reason. read more
