They emailed the info for the e-transfer and luckily, I caught that the order was for a different currency altogether. I emailed and they corrected it. The transfer went through on my end, but the next day they emailed and said they couldn't deposit it, what password did I use? The one you sent me, I replied. 2 days later on a Sunday the e-transfer suddenly went through. Before I went in, I Googled 3 different websites to get the exchange rate for that day. They offered me significantly less. I said look at these 3 other quotes, "That is our price " he said. I thought you would be competitive like your website states " That is our price" he said. My bad, but still. They had a non-refundable policy for my 10% deposit so I was stuck. I would not recommend this company at all.

I don't know what time of the day is less busy, but I usually go during the weekday. The afternoon and "after work" hours I found have been a little busy. You have an option to order on their website and pick up when they call you that it's ready. This usually take 3 business days. You can call them ahead of time to check if they have the currency available so you can buy it the same day. You can also order currency in person which takes 2 business days. I had ordered czech koruna and it was ready to pick up the next day! Note there are two tellers. They accept debit and cash to complete transactions.

I am a non-Indian foreigner travelling on vacation to India. I asked the staff at Kantor if, as a foreign tourist, I could bring rupees into India. She said she thought yes, saying that Kantor frequently converts Canadian cash to rupees. Based on her advise, I completed the transaction. Before travelling, I consulted with the tour company, who were advised by the Indian Consulate, that non-nationals are not permitted to carry rupees into the country. When I advised Kantor regarding the misinformation I'd received from their staff, they refused to fully refund my money. The manager stated it was not their staff's responsibility to know or give accurate advise, and alternatively insisted that the information they'd provided was correct. The only recourse they offered was to buy back the rupees I'd purchased at a different rate which resulted in me losing a significant of money. I have previously made many purchases through Kantor, however based on this experience, I will no longer do business with them and do not recommend their services to others.

This particular client entered 30 minutes after I had been there and was escorted into the area where the tellers are . She was not an employee. I said to the staff "what am I, chopped liver". No responses were made. Shortly after another teller asked me if she could help me and I stepped forward after returning to the long line up. I asked to exchange Canadian dollars for Euros. I've used Interchange Financial about a dozen times. The first 8-9 times I used them it was fine. A…read morelittle bit slow, about 7 business days on average to get my money. But I got it and I trusted the system. When I changed my delivery method from electronic bank transfer to a wire transfer, everything fell apart. My money did not arrive for over a month for the first transaction, and because I didn't realize that this was a systematic problem with Interchange Financial, I had two more transfers held up for over 6 weeks each. The worst part, and why I'm reviewing Interchange Financial this way rather than the bank system, is that Interchange Financial did not treat this with urgency. My impression is that they did not respond in a timely manner to the banks when they was a compliance check, and so my transactions languished. If you need to wire transfer the exchange, I would highly recommend using someone else.

I came here to exchange some currency for international travel. The markup was about 1.3%…read more(excluding their $3.50 flat fee), which is pretty good compared to other options (banks, airport, etc). Payment can be made in cash or debit. Service was very fast because there was no one else here and the person behind the counter was extremely fast at counting cash. They have a policy where if your transaction is $1000 CAD or more, you can return the unused portion of foreign currency and convert it back into CAD at the same rate if you bring back the receipt. The exchange has to occur within 30 days of the original transaction and you can only return up to 50% of the currency that you purchased. There is no service fee on returns.
