They had one employee there and had one truck along with my car, they took my car in right away and placed it on the rack and started to drain the oil. After awhile I seen they took the car down and the guy told me it was almost done. Approx 15 min later I seen the car going back up on the lift and ask the guy why? Was there a problem? He said no, he just has to change the oil filter. I said I thought that was done and he said so did I. I said well, I been here now for over a hour and he looked at the paper work to see when I got there and said I apologize, it should have only took 30 min. He said what I will do for you is take 10% off of the labor which came to a little over $1.50 (Wow) I will never be back to that business.

Writing to share how disappointed I was in my recent experience with the people at Corwin…read more I found a truck online I was interested in. I showed up to see it and met a very nice salesman who offered to help me. Should've been a slam dunk for the salesman and the dealership. I go to see the truck and it is NOT as nice as the photos. It had a check engine light, scratched up front bumper, hail damage on the hood, the windshield camera was falling off, and the interior floor board had holes and stains on it. The truck was 10 years old but had no business being on the lot in that condition. Nonetheless I was still interested thinking they would make a deal on the truck plus work with me on my trade in. I tell the salesman what I wanted for my trade in and what I wanted to pay for the new truck. I also told him I had pre-approved financing. Very cut and dry and nothing out of the ordinary. Should be easy peasy. I come back that day with my trade in. They give me a number that is $3000 less than what I had told the salesman and won't budge on price with the new truck. My whole point is I had given them a number that would've gotten them a deal and a sale. I had done my research and had given them numbers below KBB and other online sources. But as always we are told those "don't count" and aren't what "they" use. I made it very clear when I originally left what the deal was to be and they let me leave and come back knowing they had zero intention of honoring that deal. They even wanted to run my credit again knowing I had told them I had a pre-approval letter for financing. When I got up because I was not agreeing of their "deal" and told them I was leaving, not one person offered to discuss the deal further. Not the kind of experience I would recommend from a dealership as "large" as Corwin.

Update: I received a phone call about this review and the owner explained to me that it's very unfair that I am able to leave a review about how their estimate came in significantly higher than everyone else and that he would try to remove this review. The explanation for the markups and excessive parts-cannon behavior was that I had a Chevrolet vehicle and the quote was over the phone with someone other than the main phone guy. An engine job on this vehicle is approximately 18-22 hours of work as per industry standards, and at their stated hourly rate (~$125/hr) they priced the job with 33.3 hours of labor, which is overly liberal. The engine itself was marked up more than any of the other quotes, drastically so. There were also charges for services that one would assume would be included, such as preliminary diagnostics and ECM tuning following work. It was explained to me that they should have turned me away on the phone instead of providing me a quote without seeing the vehicle, which every single other shop was able to do in a reasonable manner. I have stated nothing fallacious or libelous in my review, but the owner was clearly upset that I was "badmouthing" and chose to "hurt their business" despite not going with them, apparently you are only able to share pricing information with the public after you pay way too much for service. I attempted to end things cordially but it didn't seem as though this was mutual. As a note, I have not paid them a single cent and am only reviewing: A: Their ability to provide a quote for my vehicle as all 9 other shops have. B: Their ability to receive criticism. I rate them a 1/5 stars on both accounts. I hope I do not have any contact with this business in the future. ________ Ran quotes for engine replacement at a total of 10 shops including a dealership. Advanced Car Care Center came in drastically higher than all the other independent shops, 40% more than the second highest quote, 78% higher than the lowest quote. They came in costing MORE THAN THE DEALERSHIP! I would recommend picking almost any other shop as the data is showing that their quotes are so bad that I felt it would be irresponsible for me not to share this information. Caveat emptor.

He was a bit stubborn and picky with the service from the few other shops he went to before. I then took him to Complete for a repair when they were still on Kearney. From then on until he passed away, he would only let Complete work on his vehicle. To me, that says a lot coming from a former diesel mechanic that didn't trust many shops. Since then, Complete has always been honest, reliable, and reasonable when working with them. I've recommended them to a few coworkers that ended up taking their vehicles to them as well. I'll gladly continue to use their shop and recommended them to friends. Also, they have the cleanest customer waiting area I've ever seen at an automotive shop. It's another small thing that shows that they care. Take your vehicle here and you won't be disappointed with the experience.
