First few times were pain-free but now that I'm +/- 100 waxes in, the sting is back. Sometimes I pre-book. Sometimes I'm a walk-in. No matter which location I visit, everyone is friendly. I had a longtime girl at CR, but she moved away. It was nice to have a rapport and she knew about products I've tried and which ones broke my out in a rash. For new girls, there is a consult on what you want done, what shape (eyebrows) are you looking for. The only other service I've had was armpit waxing. That was weird to grow out the hairs long enough. Didn't hurt as much as the face though. I can't speak for other services. I'm a visual person so I like to take pictures of where I'm planning a review. I asked the gal if I could take a picture of her room and she said no. Which is fine I guess, just left me disappointed because I wanted to share it with you here. Bummer. Rooms are air conditioned so that might be a bit chilly in the nether regions. Leather apolstered tables with paper liner to lay on... like at the doctor office, but longer to put your feet up. Pillow for head. Products set out in containers on work counter. Everything looks to be disposable and one time use. Never seen them actually clean the room but looks brand new when I'm brought back. Restrooms on site in the clinical hallway. Products on display in lobby where you can purchase if used on you that day. You can buy services a la carte for the day, or you can buy a package of services like Buy 9, Get 3 free. Your CC gets charged in 3 or so payments and that makes checkout very easy because you prepaid for them. Just need to leave a tip in cash or say to charge your CC on file.

Without meeting her and not knowing her curly hair skills, she did a great job. She used my natural curls and 33 Bobby pins to create a cute "get it off my neck, it's hot outside, but leave a couple dangle around my cheeks" updo. No hot tools needed! Heather was friendly and professional. We conversed while she was working her magic. Her two daughters are going to school for my occupation and we found out we had some things in common too. She was done in 20 mins and I was slightly disappointed the appointment was over so quickly. Walking into the place is welcoming and clean. I love the high ceilings with crystal chandeliers. A fancy warehouse feel with sleek lines and open spaces. Customer products available for purchase at the counter and on display shelves in the waiting area. Easy to get to from hwy 65 and Main St (125th Ave, hwy 242). Plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend and may make another appointment for other services.

An Expensive Great Clips: Our former "gem" is gone :(…read more Lily's Salon is a new business as of late 2014. The formally known "Red Pear" Salon was sold to an employee and the business changed names, prices, and business model. My wife and daughter went in today for haircuts. We always look forward to going to "Red Pear" when we're in town. But today was a different experience. We pulled up a few minutes after 9am to discover the new business name. I dropped off my wife and daughter and picked them up....20 minutes later. I asked about their experience and they told me about the new business model. After relatively quick haircuts they realized that the past experience of a personal, small-town salon feel, where the stylist takes his/her time to cut, style, and chat, was gone. Our top three favorite stylists are also gone now (Aaron, Vince, and Courtney) so we didn't feel bad saying goodbye. Aaron was the first to leave a couple years ago (who spend a lot of time and detail on us), then Courtney (who gave great head massages), followed by the recent departure of Vince (who was very personable and detailed in his craft). The prices have also been raised. The old Red Pear also used to be very generous to military personnel and their families, charging only $9 (before tip) per family member. Those prices are now $13/person (before tip) which isn't "expensive" but certainly reflects a change in mentality from the previous owner. I called them today to try to politely request information from a previous stylist, but as expected, they wouldn't give out that information. I hope I still have his old Red Pear loyalty/business card so I can find his new salon online. Goodbye Red Pear/Lily's. It really was a joy and pleasure to be your customer over the past 5+ years.
