I like the hair cut to be pretty simple for styling later. Pretty much if you can let it air dry, then brush out with minimal to zero products later and it looks good, that's my go-to. Since I often wear my hair on either side rather than down the middle, she does a cut with a middle part. I have shorter hairs in the top middle and a "cow lick" in the back with less hair, she styles it very nicely so you can't tell. I also like the particular salon as they use vegan products. They have a vegan hair color line as well. I am the type of person who often looks at ingredients and far too often I will not buy or use a product that has harsh chemicals especially if more than one ingredient listed has a rating of more than #4 on the ewg website. In recent years I've noticed quite a quick response to sensitivities from foods and ingredients in products. Thankfully the products used here I haven't had a negative response to anything. I don't know about the other staff as I only know Anne, but I would recommend this place. Location: if you need to get some shopping in, eat some food, or get gas, they have lots in just a few blocks. One of my favorite cafes is just 10 minutes north in Anoka - I believe it's called American Bistro Cafe, it's located in a floral shop. The cafe is open from approximately 9a-3 & they serve lunch at 11a. The woman is a cousin of a client who recommended the place. The owner makes all her soups and bakery items from scratch & they are so tasty! I like the locally owned shops as they tend to have some good hearted, happy people working there. The formal shop is cute too. Thanks for reading my review!

My daughter (10) had some pink added to her hair and a trim. Turned out beautiful-she was very happy! A week later she wanted to add some tinsel and I was way overdo for a cut. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professional courtesy and customer appreciation at…read morethis salon, specifically from stylist Valerie. I have been a returning client of Valerie's for several sessions and have always been a generous client who tips well, as I genuinely wanted to support her business. This morning, I had an unexpected work emergency and unfortunately missed my scheduled appointment. I completely understand salons have policies, and I immediately had the front desk communicate with Valerie to reschedule for the nearest available slot, offering to pay the fee toward my next appointment as a deposit. To my shock, Valerie completely refused to accommodate an established client. Not only did she insist on charging the full amount for a missed session due to an emergency, but she also had the front desk tell me she would have "no availability for the next few weeks"--a petty, punitive gesture toward a loyal customer. While businesses have rules, they also require basic human understanding and professional flexibility for returning clients. Valerie chose a one-time penalty over long-term customer loyalty. I will not be returning to this salon, and I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you value a stylist who treats clients with mutual respect and professionalism.
