Lobster roll
Mandi R.

We liked Tada Sushi so much that we went on a Monday and came back again on a Sunday! As a family, we tried: the teppanyaki steak, lobster roll, sunrise by the lake roll, baked salmon roll, ramen bowl and udon bowl. All were excellent. The steak comes out sizzling and has a side of green beans and rice. Each person gets served yummy miso soup. We haven't been yet but kids eat free on Tuesdays. They take reservations which is great because they fill up! Service has been great both times we've come. And restrooms are CLEAN!

Made a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner, and the service was great. The host did let us know about the 90 minute time limit due to the holiday, but that was no problem as the food came out quickly. The service was great. Our server was so attentive, and our water was never empty! The space was clean and cute for date night. Started the night off with complimentary miso soup. Our appetizers were both great: the spicy tuna rice cake and baked mussels. I would definitely get the crispy lobster roll again! So yummy & the claws have lobster meat. It was fresh. The salmon sashimi was thick and buttery. Overall great experience and we will be back!

Okay, here's some insider knowledge - GO DURING HAPPY HOUR 2:30-5pm! The sushi wasn't amazing but during happy hour its a reasonable price and tastes pretty good, and the service was nice and its in a cute area so i think from those few hours ill be going back until I find a sushi spot that really blows me away. Give this a try if you're in the area though, seriously.

I love when other reviewers lead me to a great find! Tada was everything the reviews stated. The food was unique, fresh, well crafted, and there was a good variety which I like. I do recommend a reservation. I did not have one and walked in at 6:45pm on a Saturday evening. The sweet hostess was doing her best to keep up with the packed house but struggled to even give an estimate on seating for about 10 minutes. There is not much standing room to wait without being uncomfortably close to diners or standing outside. It was quite loud inside when packed so if you're looking for a quiet date night spot where you can eat slowly I'd pick somewhere else.

Stumbled upon this gem! Was working in the area and came across this lovely establishment. Staff were very friendly and seating was excellent. The inside was very clean and music was excellent. The Salmon Nigiri was my absolute favorite and it was so fresh tasting and perfectly cut. We tried a lot of things off the menu and included pictures. Mango roll, Miso were also very good! The lobster roll was out of this world. Even the simple presentation of the food was amazing. I will be coming back to this place anytime I am near. I recommend you do the same as well.

Food was excellent and the first sushi place that was tasting close to Japan which is very hard for me to find. Anybody that ate sushi in Japan will know ehat I mean. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is nice and clean. This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants!

Came here on a rainy day for udon. That was ok but the other dishes were very good. Clearly set up as a nice fancy experience with the design of the place. Service was fine but did feel a little rushed. So the udon noodles were too soft, which is the most important part of the dish. Broth was good. Tempura was good Yakiniku beef was great. Tender, sweet really recommend Hamachi kama - always good If we come back, we'll try the sushi. Mainly if we happen to be in the area.

Tada Experience Sushi Box

This is based on my Tada Experience sushi box, since I placed an order to-go. My order was prepared and available for pickup within the estimated time they provided. I appreciated the packaging of the bag and box. The employee handing off my order ensured the items were secure and the drink would not spill. The ambience inside seemed quite nice and there seemed to be a small patio area with a few tables outside as well. The taste of the sushi tasted very fresh, the edamame and miso soup were good, and the variety of sauces packed with the box were a plus. I ordered the box with the option of the green tea drink and it was refreshing. The only thing that's holding me back from 5 stars is the value. When calculating each time individually, I wasn't able to justify the $69 price tag for the Tada Experience box and the amount of food.

Spicy tuna rolls and Jack in the back on the right

This is one of my go-to sushi restaurants. I've been here many times, and the quality is always consistent whether I dine in, take out, or get delivery. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. On one visit, my kids were having a hard time, and the staff kindly brought them a free box of Japanese animal crackers. That small gesture really stuck with me and showed how thoughtful their service is. When I order delivery or takeout, the packaging is always done carefully, and they make sure to include everything you need-ginger, wasabi, soy sauce, chopsticks. The sushi arrives fresh and well-prepared. Sushi is my favorite food, and fish quality is really important to me. I've tried a lot of top sushi places, and this restaurant is right up there with the best in terms of freshness and flavor. It's a place I keep coming back to.

I have been to twice now. Both times have been great. Great service, comfy vibe and of course, really good sushi! Our favorites tonight were the soft shell crab roll - so gorgeous and delicious! I have never seen it done this way. There was crispy crab in the roll, sure - but there was an entire soft shell crab, adorned with an orchid on the outside! A real show stopper! Another new thing we tried was the silken tofu. Another very pretty presentation and delicious! Sushi lovers unite - and go to Tada!!

The ambiance, quality, selection, and service are all top notch, and they serve real wasabi!

Sunrise by The Lake roll, Ono Casanova roll, Unicorn Tail roll
Sara P.

Really fantastic sushi, beautiful restaurant and the staff are always welcoming and attentive. I have been here a handful of times (mostly for lunch) and always enjoy whatever I order. There has not been one roll or dish that wasn't great. My favorite roll would be the unicorn tail, second would be Kappa Delight (which has no rice). The only downside is that it is on the more expensive side, but the freshness of the fish offsets it.

Hand rolls
Phil J.

We had an amazing family dinner. The kids loved their rice and the fried chicken appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. The lobster roll was a standout, and the hand rolls--especially the Dragon Roll and spicy tuna--were fantastic. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The staff was incredibly attentive, quickly bringing out the kids' rice to keep the hangry meltdowns at bay. The relaxed yet upscale vibe is perfect, and the location in downtown Lake Oswego is perfect for an afternoon dinner stroll. Highly recommend for a family-friendly, authentic Japanese dining experience! We'll be back!

Looks like it used to be a taproom. Focus is on ramen but menu also feature other core Japanese dishes, as well as a khao soi (possibly Thai owned?) Went for classic tonkotsu ramen. Flavorful broth that was actually on the lighter side, but I was down for it. Toppings include pork belly, marinated bamboo shoots, corn, green onion, red ginger, nori (seaweed), and a perfectly boiled egg. Noodles had a good bite to them and were prepared well. Overall really solid.

The reservation process was seamless; even without an online booking system, I was able to make arrangements in Japanese over the phone, which was a huge relief. The staff's hospitality makes you feel right at home, even so far from Japan. Regarding the food, it is generally very authentic and well-prepared. However, there were a few minor inconsistencies--for instance, the edamame served as an appetizer was a bit dry on both of my visits. While the culinary quality is high, I think there is still room for improvement in those small details. Also, for those visiting with friends or family, I would advise that the service can sometimes be a bit overly casual with personal questions. Overall, I had a positive experience and would definitely return on my next trip to Portland. It is a solid, authentic spot, and I would recommend it to anyone prioritizing a genuine Japanese dining experience and language comfort. 4/5.

The Miso cod on special was tasty, but, small. We also ordered eel nigiri, one of the special hand rolls, and yummy sliced duck. Our experience ended with a somewhat unmemorable flan. It's the kind of spot where you come for the visuals but stay because the food also satisfying. Here is what we ordered and loved: The Yin-Yang Bowl: If you are indecisive like me, this is a total game-changer. It lets you try two different ramen broths in one divided bowl. Both the creamy, rich tonkotsu side (with that perfectly tender braised pork belly and crispy shrimp tempura) and the savory, spicy miso side were absolute perfection. The Omurice: You have to get this just for the experience! The servers slice the fluffy egg right at the table so it beautifully cascades over the fried rice before they pour the rich, savory demi-glace sauce on top. It's incredibly satisfying to watch and tastes just as amazing as it looks. The Sides & Dessert: We also tried their minced pork katsu (crispy, juicy, and smothered in sauce) and finished the meal with their Matcha Pudding. The pudding is silky smooth, served on a beautiful wooden tray, and topped with a touch of sweet red bean paste and cream to pour over. It was the perfect, lightly sweet end to a heavy meal.
