I ordered a few rolls (the Green Machine ain't nothing to play with, y'all) and my son ordered a teriyaki burger. I also ordered the Sake Sangria which I thought was good, but it was nothing compared the the Shogun Shotgun which is made with Toki whiskey. The food and drinks were on point and so was the service. There is also plenty of other drink options to choose from I'm gluten and dairy free, so we spoke with a waiter who ensured that everything was gluten-free and dairy could be modified. We both ordered two rolls and the salmon flight The rolls were good, but I felt there were almost too fancy. The salmon flight was OK, but nothing to write home about in my opinion. I've had better salmon in other places. Overall, I would definitely come back for a special occasion. I really appreciated everything being gluten-free here and made ordering a lot easier for me. Had a delicious sushi dinner at Bamboo Sushi. So nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy a good meal. We started off with the Brussels sprouts which were crispy bites of flavor in your mouth. The peppers add a little heat. The sauce has a sweetness to it. Combine all three together and perfection. We ordered four rolls. A traditional spicy tuna. The tuna was not ground up tuna which I have gotten at other many places but beautiful pieces with crispy cucumber to give it more texture and a nice heat but not so overpowering you lose the flavor of the tuna. The bamboo dragon was the least favorite of the table . Too much combined together and not enough flavor all at the same time. The sunset was the prettiest looking one. I felt the heat level took away from the flavor of the fish masking it too much for me. The unicorn which I asked for no cilantro was my favorite of the evening. The combination of the fishes with the seasoning of the oil was wonderful. I didn't even need the soy sauce. I of course tried all with the soy sauce and without to ensure I tasted them all both ways. Service was fast at the bar, seemed like it would be a bit of a wait if you were at a table, though. All in all I enjoyed and will definitely be back. The wine was excellent and served in a thin wine glass (iykyk), the spicy tuna crispy rice was good but not my favorite (the rice turned a bit chewy) but the other rolls were great and the fried chicken was a must have. Very juicy with good flavor. For sushi, we got the King Salmon nigiri which was good. Very buttery, tasted fresh. We got Friday the 13th which was a spicy salmon rolled topped with albacore (forgot to take a picture). That was really good I'd get it again! I minus'd a star because our Crispy Tuna Rice was stale. The tuna was covered in their poke sauce which was tasty, but I'm disappointed about the rice being cold. They do a very steady business, but it's worth the wait if you don't have a rez. Bamboo is a mid-sized place with nice tables and a great sushi bar you can sit at if that's your thing. It's snugly placed in the middle of downtown Lake O with street parking and easy access from the parking garage. I have always had great service here, and I do admire the dedication to sustainability and the ethical sourcing of the food they serve. Try the crispy rice plates - they are not to be missed! I've always thought that Bamboo Sushi was a decent sushi spot to go to when in doubt so, when I got to Lake Oswego and the restaurant I was planning to go to was closed, I stopped by here. Fortunately, Bamboo was still open so my friend and I dropped by. After getting seated at the bar, we ordered a couple menu items. Staff was super kind but for some reason, when we visited 3 things were dropped at different times and broke behind the bar (which made me question the service quality?). The food came out not too long after. The edamame and the handroll was alright, and I really enjoyed the nigiri. The fish were all pretty good but I've had better experiences at the location on 23rd. All in all, it was a pretty good place to stop by and Bamboo is always reliable, but if I were to recommend a location, I would recommend the one on 23rd. read more

We love coming to Bamboo Sushi - Cedar Hills or Lake O. The chicken Karaage at BS is my favorite since Noraneko in PDX shut down - deliciously crispy with zesty dill aioli dipping sauce. This is a popular place. Luckily we only had to wait 15 mins since we wanted the sushi bar because table wait was 1 hr. The front staff and wait staff were all fantastic and courteous. Every roll we ordered was delicious. Fan of their spicy tuna over crispy rice. Warm house sake was good. Unfortunately they were out of Japanese draft beers so that was a bummer.
