I had some work clothes that needed hemmed and a couple pair of pants that need some stitching repairs. I did a quick Google search and found Tad More's mail-in service and it honestly has been a LIFESAVER! The whole process from end to end took less than 2 weeks and Brandi was so helpful and professional throughout. You get a prepaid label sent to you to package everything up, it gets hemmed/repaired/tailored, and then mailed back. Have had the chance to use them plenty of times now and thought it was bout to time to leave a review. I've used many different tailors over the years as I've moved so much. Tad more has a default prep time of two weeks where you can pay a fee to get them x number of days sooner. As far as wait times goes it's not bad. I've had tailors that have taken this long and I've had tailors that have been quicker so I'd say it's just about average. I have enjoyed the customer service quite a bit. I've mainly worked with Reagan and Amanda and they're both lovely. They both do a great job making sure that they understand exactly how I want my clothes to look as I'm fairly particular and have gone above and beyond many times to make sure that I'm satisfied with the result. As far as quality of the work goes I haven't had any issue with anything I've gotten. Any small nitpicks I had they were kind enough to take care of for me so no complaints there. As far as price goes, I'd say it's slightly above average as I've had a few tailors that were slightly cheaper (however keep in mind this is in the past decade of me getting clothes done so their fees could've changed as well and maybe they're the exact same now). With that being said, I still keep coming back so I think you're still getting a good value and I've enjoyed my time working with them. I would recommend giving them a shot. I guess for the sake of whomever is reading this and is curious, here are all the various things I've had done: hemming pants, altering blazers, increased waist size for pants, patchwork on some thrifted jeans, alteration of jacket sleeves. The prices are insane here. You can go elsewhere for a fraction of the cost and still get the same quality of service or better. I had an appointment scheduled for my wedding dress and my mom made a seperate appointment for her dress. We ended up being there for 3 hours because they did not start my moms fitting until mine was done although she had her own appointment time scheduled. I paid for lace to be moved up and they did it wrong, so I was refunded. They fixed my strap but it was sewn twisted, so it had to be fixed. I've been using the mail-in service for pant leg alteration for the past two years. The price for pant leg alteration is worth it to me as I like a specific length, so the service itself is very useful to me and the price charged as well as the free shipping tracking to and from makes for a good deal. However! Over the past year, I have had two separate orders that were returned with items not altered. For example, my most recent order was a request for the alteration (shortening) the legs on five pairs of pants to the same length of a sample pant provided. I always included a sheet of paper that reviews the changes that I want made and I label each pant with a piece of tape that corresponds to a number on the piece of paper included. Pant A is the Sample Pant and Pants B-F are the ones to be altered. Four of the five pairs of pants had been altered to specification. Pant F had legs at 36 inches when shipped and returned with legs at 36 inches. No alterations were made. How do I know this? I compared the sample pant to Pant F and it's pretty obvious no changes were made. I emailed Serafin, who usually emails me a few days after the order arrives notifying her of the problem and no response. I also sent a message with my order number and problem of non-altered pant leg through the website with no response or resolution to the problem. So, do they do the work offered? Yes, and most of the time it's done to satisfaction. Sometimes they don't complete all of the work requested and while one time is understandable, two times is a problem and I refuse to risk making the same mistake a third time. read more

Even though I scheduled an appointment, I was still shuffled around between 3 people, two of them with a language barrier which made it extremely challenging to explain what I wanted--three times! The simple alterations I needed were somehow turned into something much more which was NOT what I wanted. They wanted to add a draped cape to the back of a cotton gingham dress ‍ What the heck! And then they quoted me $260 for this disaster that would have looked horrible. I'm not even sure how a business could quote that much for something like this without being on the same page as the client. Save your money and find someone else. Me too, but not anymore! Life is too short to not wear your cute clothes. Dig them out and get them altered at TadMore Tailoring! This past fall I purchased a Penny Lane leather jacket with a fur trim. I loved the style, but the length was longer than I was comfortable wearing. They under promised and over delivered. I had just bought a new raincoat, but never sat down in it prior to buying. When I did at home, I realized that there should have been a different design to accommodate that. I took it to Tad More Tailoring thinking we needed a two way zipper but instead they decided to remove and reinstall the zipper farther up in the coat to allow for that additional "kick". There isn't much competition in this market so that's probably why they can get away with it because sometimes people are desperate especially with formal wear and have no other option. Also, the glowing reviews seem a bit staged IMO since by word of mouth, I have heard the same experiences of being way overcharged with this place. If I could give them more stars I would. They have FANTASTIC customer service! I in my life, I have gone to a variety of tailors for alterations on the occasional bridesmaid dress, prom dresses, homecoming dresses, but I have never had my "go to tailor" . I will now forever be a loyal customer to TadMore. I originally went in because I had a bridesmaid dress needed to be altered. It was super easy to get an appointment in. Off the bat, the workers were very nice and explained everything. (Saturday) Unfortunately, there was a mix up with my dress and the length was altered but not the top. I don't know what happened but I ended up not being able to wear it and had to switch dresses with someone else. I called them as soon as I noticed - but it was too late I was already at the wedding. I thought that was the end of things. To my surprise I received a call on Monday by management . It was one of the nicest calls I have ever received by a company. It sounded sincere and concerned. They offered me a refund for the mix up, they still wanted to fix up my dress in case I ever use it in the future, AND they gave me a gift card for any future alterations. They have updated me in a timely manner on when my dress is ready. This was a week or two ago. On top of that, I received a call today and they asked if they could send my dress to be dry cleaned as a gift. (The person that had to wear my dress had short heels - so there were dirt stains on the dress.) I am beyond impressed with them. I honestly thought the best I would hopefully get is the a refund for the unfinished work but Tadmore has gone above and beyond. There was an honest mistake on my dress and they have showed me they value their customers and really want to make things right. I was looking for a place online that would do mail in alterations and just happened to find Tad More. I searched a number of places and non seemed to make it as easy as they did. I'm from D.C and have plenty of tailors around but I wanted the convenience of just dropping my items in the mail and having it done for me. Everything about Tad More was exceptional, from their immediate responses to my special inquiries to accommodating a few special items I had. Oh and the best part, I went to pay and didn't see a PayPal option. Their operations director reached out to me immediately and said that they hadn't offered PayPal in the past but because of my request they would add it. Obviously this would take some time to integrate with their website and systems etc but they went out of their way to ensure I could use PayPal for my current order. Tadmore has a beautiful space, awesome online options which I've never seen before, and is honestly really well priced. Their customer service is the best I have ever seen and no one has ever been anything but kind and encouraging. I love that they encourage so steadily the idea of upcycling, and really push the idea that clothes are meant to fit you in a way that is comfortable and makes you feel confident in YOUR body. I called them a couple days later and was given delightful service! First, someone answered the phone! I was even happier when I discovered that the store hadn't opened yet, but since the person was there early for a meeting she took the call. She took the time to find the pants and then carefully discussed with me what kind of change I wanted. She was so kind and considerate. When I thanked her for taking the call before business hours and helping me her response was, "No problem at all. We want you to love your clothes." I will be taking more things there are needed! This place is a hidden gem! I brought in my wedding dress to have it altered in a hurry just a few weeks before my wedding. I was given an estimate of $150 for alterations at the bridal shop where it was purchased (just to hem the bottom!), which was more than I wanted to spend. I brought it here and was given an estimate of $50 (a little more than he charges for a typical hem since it would involve removing the lace trim and sewing it back on by hand after). I later decided I also wanted to add a button and loop to bustle the dress, which he was happy to do and said it would be a small extra charge. I also asked if they would steam the dress since it was quite wrinkled, and they did for no extra charge. I just picked up my dress and it's absolutely perfect!! All of this was done in less than 4 days and for a total of $60! Everyone here was very friendly and accommodating and the work was done beautifully and very quickly!! I don't know what I would have done without them-- thank you Tad More!! read more
