The teacher was great, the prep materials were top notch, and the online resources and office hours were extensive and helpful. My scores on my practice tests throughout the course and in order were: didn't finish, 152, 154, 158, 159, 160 and that's what I received on the actual LSAT. That said, I might take it again this fall, and I still have all my materials from the class. I highly recommend this course over others. Someone else in my class took another prep class with a different company, and claimed that Manhattan LSAT was far superior. The scores speak for themselves.

I've had more good experiences than bad with University Health Services, so I guess it evens out to…read morea four star experience. My first was the worst. My scatterbrained mama lost my immunization records, and it was a document I hadn't thought to take with me when I grew up and realized she did these kinds of things. So, I tried calling my backwards town in Georgia to get proof to no avail. I had to get another immunization. The nurse was rude, and not gentle. Her bedside manner was seriously lacking. I was pissed. A year later, I was feeling sick. I went in with flu-like symptoms. They verified my fever, and gave me a free flu pack with medicine, and sent me on my merry, free way. Much better service this time. Another year passes. In the meantime, I start to get a prescription refilled here every month. They forgot a couple times, even though I called ahead. I wish they would call you to confirm it was filled. I would show up, and have to wait 30 minutes, hoping I didn't get a parking ticket. Another visit: Barbara Blizzard, C.N.M., aka gynecologist, was my angel. We discussed triathlons, my five year plan for having kids, a doctor who quit practicing to cycle in New Zealand, and my husband's recent concussion, and before I knew it, all the hurty yucky parts were over. I highly recommend her... least painful annual exam I ever had. No money was discussed at reception, which didn't phase me, since I thought it was free, until I noticed a $48 charge tacked on my tuition. I wasn't told that, but so be it. This week: my voracious Q-tip use finally caught up with me. Racked with pain, I called UHS at 3:30 on Monday... they said I needed to come in immediately and Dr. Turner could take me at 4:10. Sweet- a 40 minute turnaround. Dr. Turner informed me that my ears were too clean, and without a protective layer of wax, an infection set in. That's why my ear was swollen shut. Creepy, I know. She was so sweet and caring, and didn't make me wait more than a minute. She also didn't make me feel like I was a disgusting swollen-ear-canal-Q-tip addict.

They also love what they do and it seems important to them that the students also love what they do as well. Often times they tell us how important it is for us to be happy, well balanced individuals. As for the students, they are so much fun. I've made incredible friends in not only my cohort but in others as well. Upon reading another yelp review in which the students were called "losers", I was a little shocked by this. The students here are friendly, caring, interesting and intelligent. They come from all walks of life and form a caring community. I've found that every time I've had a concern, be it with my schedule, financial aid, or another student, it was addressed in a very professional and timely manner. I would hate to think that one person's bad experience would influence any prospective students. True, there are other acupuncture schools in Austin, but it seems what they are missing is a cultural link. Currently all of my professors either learned TCM in china, or practiced chinese medicine in hospitals in China. I've learned so much about the philosophy and culture that has contributed to an art of medicine that has been practiced for several thousands of years. I encourage anyone seriously considering a career in acupuncture to check out the school and clinic.

I have gone there for physical ailments such as back pain and joint pain but also for depression as well. It is not a quick fix like western medicine, but keep with it and it works. Acupuncture has been around for ~3,000 years so I'll take it over pharmaceuticals any day. I highly recommend the student intern clinic at Texas Health & Science University. The account manager working with my company was very friendly, even when I had to change my course date twice. I took what they call an Online Live course where the instructor was actually in New York and myself and the other students were at computer workstation at various New Horizons locations. I honestly wasn't thrilled with this setup because I had imagined being in a classroom with other students and an instructor that was physically there. The workstations had two monitors, one to display the instructors screen and one for my own Excel practice. Students can virtually raise their hand and type questions to the instructor, which many of us did. I actually ended up enjoying this setup because I was able to focus without a room full of people but also sneak a peek at my work email a few times. The instructor was terrific and tried to relate the course to how we could use these new skills in our jobs. I was fully prepared for 8 hours of boredom but now I want to take Level 3 in the future. My one complaint is that the headphones provided are uncomfortable. My ears hurt and I had a terrible headache by the lunch break. After lunch I figured out a way to put them on my face right in front of my ears with the volume turned to max and be able to hear without pain (and luckily no one was in the room to see this.) Bring your own headphones! Also, the classes have a course book but they didn't have a paper one to give me like they normally do. I got an access code for the online book but I'd rather have a paper copy for easy reference. In the course evaluation I asked to get one. If I get this I'll be thrilled and probably increase this to 5 stars!

Olivia asked me a bunch of questions, explaining what each answer may be pointing to. I learned a lot about how things are connected. She was very sincere; it was clear that she was invested in helping me feel better. The treatment she provided me was painless (having never had an appointment like this before, I was a little scared it might hurt!) and relaxing. I left feeling peaceful. I'm happy to say that the next morning my back pain had subsided. I was able to twist and turn in ways I haven't been able to in 10 years! Needless to say, I'm officially sold on acupuncture! And I'm trying my best to get more appointments with Olivia. She's excellent.

When I first went here I was skeptical of acupuncture, but I will tell you, even though it doesn't work for everyone for everything, it DOES work for some people on some things. Despite…read moretrying out several methods, nothing seemed to work for him as his teacher informed me that he would only answer 2 out of 38 questions correctly during his mock STAAR reading tests. During that time, he would take up the whole day whereas everyone else completed their assessments within 4 hours. Fortunately, my mother and I found Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep on Thumbstack. Chris was very quick at responding back to my emails. Within a few days, he introduced us to India. She served as my younger brother's tutor for a month up until the day before the actual STAAR reading test. Within the first meeting, she assessed my brother and determined how many hours per week he required to gain maximum help. During the tutoring sessions, she tried her very best to make it fun and interactive for my brother to learn new reading and writing skills. She also communicated with the teacher in order to accommodate her lessons with his reading performance in school. Within the third week, he successfully answered 27 out of 38 questions correctly during another mock STAAR reading test. While going over his exam, I noticed all the analytical notes my brother took alongside each reading passage. He then proceeded to tell me how they greatly helped him answer the more difficult questions. Overall, there were several aspects that I greatly liked about Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep: 1. Chris informed my mother and I about the financial matters behind their services prior to the first session with India 2. India always informed me whenever she was running late and always made up by staying in a few minutes extra 3. Compared to the more expensive tutoring services in Houston, their prices made it easier for my mother to afford additional tutoring sessions with India 4. My mother and I found it very convenient that they offer at-home tutoring sessions. India provided consistent tutoring sessions that worked well around our schedules 5. India usually supplied additional homework that further helped my brother gain reading tactics necessary to pass the STAAR test 6. Everyone from Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep are very professional and courteous. Even though we are not currently utilizing their services, they are more than willing to help out my brother during the remainder of the school year and beyond! We are currently anticipating my brother's actual STAAR reading results from TEA. We're truly hoping their services aided my brother in attaining a passing grade!

It worked for me with my work schedule and how I learn but is a lot. Pro- Phillip the instructor was extremely knowledgeable, relatable and kind. I even connected with him after I passed the test and he was cheering me on then too! Pro/con- you learn way more information than you actually need for the test. You go into formulas and graphs and diagrams. All of it is extremely helpful information on how to do my job, but a lot of it was not on the test so I spent time studying and cramming things that I didnt need to know. Pro-They give you all of the study materials that you need. You do not need to buy additional books or study guides. It has a ton of practice tests and quizzes and really guides you where to look on the areas you need to focus on. A bit of background: I do projects and work in leadership but my title is nowhere near "project manager." I was learning all of the terms and formulas and all of it from scratch. It was a lot to learn in four days but that worked for me and my work/learning style. Overall, I would strongly recommend!

I took Project Management Academy's (PMA) PMP boot camp course in Norfolk, VA in November 2022…read more The course was well laid out, and was a good introduction to Project Management and what to expect when going through the certification process. PMA provided post-boot camp resources including reference material, and access to practice exams. The practice exams were difficult, and really challenged me. By the time I took the exam, I was thoroughly prepared and found the exam easy, and passed on my first attempt. What provided the most value for me was my course Facilitator, Mr. Jackson. Not only did he do a great job during the course, but he provided me assistance months after my course. He sent me additional preparation tools, reviewed my PMP application, and encouraged me when I became wary. One of my co-workers attended the course before I did, and although she had a different facilitator, her experience was very similar. Needless to say, I would highly recommend going with PMA if pursuing PMP certification.
