Came here to do their bee hive tour. The tour starts with an indoor informative session where you…read morelearn about the life cycle of bees. Then you put on protective gear and get to see a hive up close, and even get to taste a bit of honey from the hive. Tours are small and capped at 12 people, making them intimate and giving you the chance to get as up close to the hive as you want. The instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable. One aspect that could be improved is the quality of the protective gear. The suits have holes -- some have already been patched, and some still need to be fixed. Noticing some of these unpatched holes in my suit made me feel slightly less protected.

We bee-suited up and were given a hands on tour of one of their many beehives. Carla made sure that everyone in our small group was properly suited up. I felt completely safe the entire time. In fact, all the gentle buzzing around me was quite relaxing! We saw all the various components that make up a hive and even saw a bee being born! The entire experience was so special, to be able to see bees so up close and personal and learn about such complex creatures. We even sampled a bit of fresh honey straight off the comb. It was delicious! After our hive tour, we picked up our pre-purchased honey fight which had samples of various honeys harvested on the farm. I'm already looking into attending another one of their classes and can't wait to come back!

The facility is small (8 or so cages) but they offer baseball, softball, and slow pitch softball. They loaned me a bat and helmet for free. The staff really went above and beyond to help offering to personally pitch to me until they could get the slow pitch machine working. I had a good time getting my swing back in order and will be back to this facility as the season gets going.

The helmets are gross and are missing padding. Some of them have padding but it is really old, dry, and cracked. When we returned the ones we used, they weren't sprayed or anything. (Which is especially gross since we sweat a lot bc of no a/c.) The place is indoors and not air conditioned (so it's stuffy). When we went in we dealt with a teenager that definitely could have been more friendly or enthusiastic about his job. It seemed there were three meshed-in cages, and only one had a pitching machine, so I'm not too sure what that was about. It was $25 for the both of us for 30 minutes. In fairness, I do think we stayed for 40 min (by accident) and he didn't say anything about it. Won't be going back though. If they get new helmets and bats, and start spraying the helmets, and get the kid some customer service skills, we'd go back. As we were leaving, he did say they had a fan that we could have used. Thanks, and great timing you have there, kid.
