Our daughter loves her so much so that now that she has moved on from her class, she will still sometimes refuse to enter the new class unless Ms. Amaiya is there. She has been so great that she'll often at times help take her in the morning until her current teacher is available to get her. We are extremely grateful for her! Currently, our daughter is in Ms. Stephanie's class and she loves and trusts her as well. Ms. Stephanie has been incredible and is always available to give us updates on our daughter's potty training. She encourages her all the time to do things on her own and she's been so crucial for us in helping us potty train our daughter. The front desk of TLE has been amazing as well! Ms. Jessica and her team have done an amazing job and really have given a lot of consistency to the facility that we felt was lacking for a while. Seeing Ms. Jessica's and Ms. Phoenix's faces in the morning always lights up our daughter's face. We are moving away soon and won't be able to send our daughter here. We will truly miss the staff and all they have done for our daughter. They have made such a big impact on our daughter's and our lives and we hope we've made a lasting impression as well.

Working with Planting Seeds Tutoring has been the best employment experience I have had, despite working with them after COVID. The owner is very understanding of his employees as long as communication is open and he is a leader as well as a manager. The students are all unique! My favorite thing has been getting to focus on smaller groups and individuals, which previously I was not ever able to do in the classroom. I really feel that Planting Seeds is the missing puzzle piece from the imperfect American education system. Those students who fall through the cracks because they have different abilities or needs are taken care of and nurtured adequately with PST. I have fallen in love with my students and love being able to teach both online and occasionally in person! I have had more flexibility with scheduling than ever before in any other job, which makes everything so much less stressful. Every student and their guardian(s) are different, which makes it easy to stay engaged in teaching. Chris and the staff of PST provide plenty of support any time I ask for it, and have also nurtured me as a person and educator. I strongly recommend applying here if you have any interest whatsoever in educating and empowering. Another aspect of PST that has been refreshing is that both the staff and the clients are very diverse, from all backgrounds. Not all education organizations are diverse, sadly, which can be subtly disempowering to all kind of students. PST has instructors of all kinds of backgrounds, including those of us with learning disabilities that we have overcome ourselves! This gives us a unique perspective as educators because there is a level of empathy and understanding that most educators, frankly, don't have. It is so wonderful to be able to create lesson plans that cater to the needs of my students, not to state testing standards or any other predetermined curriculum. My 12 year old son needed help with his writing and I had never hired a tutor before. After calling several tutoring companies, I met with Chris. He was accommodating and my son felt comfortable around him, which helped with the assessment. I sent the assessment to the classroom teacher to see if this company was on target with what my son needed, and she agreed 100% with the assessment results. Then we met my son's tutor, Jennifer. She was so patient with my son and his writing struggles. She was flexible with our schedule. After school my son would be tired, or on the weekend he would get bad cases of the wiggles. She was patient and understanding with both. In addition, after just a few weeks of tutoring my son's classroom teacher noticed a marked improvement in his writing abilities. The tutor turn out to be a retired Chemistry professor who spent 15 minutes complaining about the fact that VT assign to him too many students and he didn't have time to take care of anyone. We changed tutor. My student has a question, the same answer was given three times. Finally it came out that my student had not clearly understood what an isotope is. The tutor replied "you should know what an isotope is". We finally gave up and requested to cancel the subscription. They told me to consider it a done thing. One month later, mid-December, I was charged 324$ on the credit card. I called them to ask a refund and to finally cancel the subscription for good. The reply was that the contract does not allow for refunds, only for credit. When I promised to write this review, they told me "ok, we will put you in contact with the special requests team"... Our experience has been that of incompetent tutors and a scam-like approach to billing. At the time of writing I am not sure yet if they plan to bill me again in one month. Don't give your credit card number to this people.

I believe that you need to participate in class discussions and vocalize when you got something wrong in order to learn. The class helps you stay accountable to a study schedule as well, but you have to put time in effort in outside of the classroom to get the most out of the class. You spend 6 hours in class a week, and you should spend at least that amount of time outside of class studying as well. I put in a lot of effort in making sure that I paid attention to Dr. Amar's lessons, but I also came to class prepared and went over my practice tests before going to class as well. All in all, I'm very thankful for this experience. I was able to score a 172 on test day, and I don't think I would have been able to get there as quickly without Dr. Amar's assistance. Thanks Doc!
