After attending a buddy-day class, her 8-year-old brother decided to join her, with the goal of earning a first-degree black belt by the age of 11. Master Kim, Mrs. Master Kim, and the instructors put a lot of effort into teaching the kids, especially those who attend religiously, with all they need to progress and learn their forms, their kicks, blocks, and sparring. And the kids get a good workout also. We've found the Kims and all the instructors to be the utmost of caring and respectful.

I was a little nervous to come, having never trained at another school. Master Bertling was incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. The facility is a nice size, very clean, and well equipped. Master Bertling followed the a Warrior Krav curriculum & structure well, kept the class moving at a good pace with smooth transitions, and did a great job of keeping the class feeling fresh by changing up the drills and bag work just enough to keep us on our toes and engaged, but not confused. The 40 minutes flew by! Definitely better and more fun than the workout I would have done at the hotel gym by myself. I will also mention there was a Kickboxing class going on one of the night I was there. While I didn't participate, I did sneak a peak a couple times. Mrs Patterson seemed to be motivating and kept the class focused and moving at the fast pace one expects with Kickboxing. Very solid workout! Expect to earn a good sweat! My daughter attended for a couple months until they unfortunately dropped an early time slot that worked for us (due to low attendance). It was a 20 minute class but it was filled with a variety of exercises -- climbing, crawling, jumping, kicking, catching, and much more. The classes were bookended by an intro to discipline (bowing and addressing their Sensei). I definitely saw an improvement in my daughter after multiple sessions -- her physical skills improved as did her attitude. She seemed to really enjoy it as well. We intend to return when she's a bit older. Highly recommended for kids of all ages.

I was disappointed to find out they did not offer transportation from my youngest daughter's school any longer, but a discount was given on some of her classes to make up for the fact that I had to drive her from school to KidSport. Less than two months into the programs, the martial arts teacher quit, and there was no replacement lined up. My older daughter was upset when she arrived and didn't know what to do or where to go, so was in tears. One of the staff, instead of offering her some support or comfort, told her to "Stop whining and being a baby." Unacceptable. The breaking point came last week when I got to the facility to drop my youngest daughter off after school, the day before Thanksgiving break. My older daughter tells me that she got left at school. The person responsible for picking up all of the students from the elementary school didn't see her right away, and just assumed we were on vacation despite not receiving a note/call/email from us as is outlined in their protocol, so LEFT WITHOUT HER. The school, knowing my 9 year old little girl was left behind, called them and she came back to get my daughter. No one from KidSport called me to let me know my child had been left, or that this mistake had been made. I only found out by accident. And when I brought it up, the woman who left her behind laughed, as if it was somehow funny. I hate having to post a negative review, but when it comes to the basic safety of a child, I cannot in good conscience let it go. I can't even think what might have happened to my little girl had a responsible teacher not been there to watch over her when the people we had paid to do so failed miserably.

She had zero teaching skills and had no idea how to keep the kids engaged or excited about learning to swim. At one lesson, an older more experienced teacher stepped in and took over as she saw the younger teacher was doing so poorly. The older teacher got my child to do more in 5 min than the younger teacher was able to do in the first 40 min of class. I asked to switch to the older teacher's class but unfortunately she was just there to help out in the next class (and didn't teach there regularly). We WASTED the $90 for the lessons that is for sure. My older kids had gone to a swim school in Leander but she isn't teaching anymore :( Do not waste your money or time here, find a place that has EXPERIENCED teachers.

I…read moream in a wheelchair, and Jorge went WAY out of his way to make me feel comfortable, and to explain the differences in terms of legal responsibilities between a "normal" person (does such even exist??) and someone with mobility issues. He included some suggestions for defense that I had not even considered, believing (mistakenly) that they were illegal. He provided me with resources for materials and services which complemented the training, and made sure I understood how and when to use them. He was patient and answered questions completely. You may have complete confidence that you will understand your rights and responsibilities when you leave. I do think, however, that he was a little surprised that an old, fat guy with one leg in a wheelchair could black out the X ring with a puny little 9mm in less than 20 rounds.

While they updated the calendar for New Years Day to indicate being closed, they made no such updates for New Years Eve, indicating they were open until 7P AND that they had an all day special from 9-5 for shotgun shooting discounts. When I showed up at 4P for a standard indoor lane I was told they closed at 4. No notice to paying members, no updates to the calendar for NYE (31st). This is compounded by new, untrained staff with inconsistent policies: some indicating their new electronic waiver (signed when you join, and required for guests) had to be filled out each visit; others never even nothing to ask (knowing members had already signed). It's still a great place, and the staff are both friendly and helpful. It's still a good value. It's just starting that "we're not new anymore, how much less can we get away with and people will still pay for" phase. That's disappointing... but not unexpected.

Their handguns are at a premium cost due to the fact that they are of the highest quality and hand made. It really reflects on it when you use them.
