I've been buying food from this taco truck for a few years now and I've had a few problems with them before. However, this time they crossed the line and sold me expired/ rotten food. I've worked in the food industry before so I can tell when food is expired. The cheese in the mullita tasted expired and when I took a few bites off my burrito I can taste a rotten taste. Very legit taco truck located across the street from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Carson and right next to a Shell gas station. One of the few to accept debit/credit cards. Ordered 2 asada tacos. Very delicious and mouth watering. Yes they do offer cheese for an extra price. Available parking in the lot and on the street. There is also an extra charge for tripe and cow guts and tongue. Wait time can be 5-15 minutes depending on how busy it is. Service was good and the staff can speak English. An excellent alternative to other taco trucks in the surrounding area. First time ordering from here, and unfortunately I was very disappointed with my order. I ordered the nacho chips with just cheese sour cream and jalapeños. The cheese poured on top of the chips was water down cheese, you can tell, it just slid down the chip onto the styrofoam container. There was no sour cream added either! Taco truck after karaoke... HECK YEAH! I met up with some coworkers as one was giving up her freedom for the ball and chain.... um, I mean, getting married! After a few hours of song, dance and ... it was time to eat! There are a few of these Super Gallito trucks along Carson St. back to the freeway. This particular one was the one someone had stopped at before. No better reason needed than that! It was pretty busy with a constant flow of customers coming and going. Also a homeless gal that got a bit aggressive. Super delish and quick. It was just what the doctor ordered! i had a couple al pastor tacos. They come out super simple, meat on a tortilla. Then the salsa bar is right behind you... aka table with plastic tubs of salsa, carrots, etc. top it as you like! Also got a side of rice. Found a piece of rubber band in my taco. Super gross! I mean, seriously? Yuck. I know this place is busy, or at least when I came here, it was, but it's inexcusable. The first taco I had, was fine as far as no rubber bands. Then, the second taco, I became aware of the rubber band and lost my appetite; I just threw everything I ordered away. I ordered breakfast burritos from here which were supposed to come with bacon and sausage, with eggs and potatoes. When they arrived they all came with no sausage or potatoes in them and instead replaced with frijoles de la olla (refried beans). Nothing resembled a breakfast burrito but instead a bean burrito with some egg thrown in. I don't know what planet you would consider that a breakfast burrito not to mention it doesn't match your supposed item description in any format. If they were out of ingredients they should have called and asked what the customer wanted instead or let them know you have to substitute ingredients. Just complete laziness and ineptitude. Food left me feeling very sick and nauseous. Got 3 chicken tacos and from the first bite I felt they didn't taste as tasty but I still went ahead and finished them. All the chicken tacos had cilantro, onions, and salsa no sour cream or guac that could have thrown my stomach off. 4-5 hours later I started feeling nauseous and was so close to throwing up. Had to use the bathroom 4-5 times that night into the morning. Even thinking about the tacos made me nauseous. I visited this taco truck Tuesday night in San Pedro. I was Hangry so I ordered 3 Asada 1.50 and 3 Chicken beans come free and a side of rice for 1.25 and horchata! Personally I am not sure if this is the right truck or not, but it seems like there are several of them all looking the same and guessing that they are all from the same owner, franchise or family. The truck I went to was in Covina on Citrus Ave almost in front of a Popeye's Chicken. In short, I was hungry and saw this truck and said should be good since most are and had several people waiting. To my surprise, it was Tuesday Taco special, $1.99 per taco or $2.49 if you wanted hand made tortilla. Ok, I get it. No issues there. I ordered 4 tacos: carnitas, cabeza, lengua, and asada. What a HUGE disappointment. The tacos were average size for taco trucks, with a decent amount of meat, but where is the taste? I think they forgot to add taste! The meat had little to no taste. If I were blind folded I would not be able to tell the difference of which taco I was eating unless you can feel the different textures in your mouth, which fortunately I can. The salsa was also a disappointment too. The red sauce was too watery and although it had some spice it lacked taste for salsa, again too watery. Their avocado sauce was weak, too watery, lemony and I doubt they really use any real avocado in it. Tasted more like zucchini than avocado. Normally I would rarely care to post a review for a place/truck that does not even deserve a star, but it is worth noting that they gave me a large horchata for free, claiming that not too many people know they sell horchata so they wanted to promote it so we knew how good it was. I noticed they gave it to most customers. I honestly think it was leftover and they knew they would have to either throw it out so they would rather give it away to keep customers happy, but then again I do not know. I would not recommend this truck to anyway. They earned their star only because the staff was friendlier than most and the free horchata. read more

For about $30, we got a carnitas burrito, a carne asada burrito, an all carne asada burrito and 4 carne asada tacos for the four of us. The burritos are huge! My carne asada burrito had beans, rice, salsa, onion and cilantro with a ton of meat. It was actually more meat than anything else! And, surprisingly, the meat was great quality and wasn't a ton of stringy, fatty garbage. For $6, this was a steal. I originally wanted a side of rice and beans, but I'm glad my brother forgot to order it because the burrito was massive and the sides would have gone to waste. They have a stand outside with salsas, lime, cilantro and onion. I got the avocado-looking sauce and it was the jam. Their red sauce is pretty spicy, as is the chunky green one.
