    Pastor Tacos Dorados

I stopped by on a Monday night at 7pm for a quick dinner. There is shaded seating available but i took mine to go. I was able to order and while it was slightly pricier than expected I think it's worth it to support a local small business and I would order it all again! The birria quesadilla might be one of the best foods in the area, they load it up with the most tender meat, the flavor is so delicious and the consome is flavorful. The rice and beans were okay, and the esquites were delicious. My Al pastor tacos were bigger than expected and the meat was perfect, i will definitely order those again. Overall it was $37 for 3 tacos, a quesadilla, corn, and rice & beans. The food was ready in under ten minutes, everything in my order was correct, with salsas, and friendly service. We will be back

This is supposed to be agua de Orchata????? Nothing like it. Don't try it.

Terrible place, my son got sick and the aguas frescas are so bad is not even funny. I don't recommend this place at all

I don't know which is better, Loli's or El Charrito. The lady who works there is so nice, and the tortillas were steaming hot when she gave them to me. They. Were. Perfection! The homemade hot sauce and cilantro sauce are so great, I want to bottle them up and take them home. I never, ever would have thought to stop at this little food truck next to a battery store, so I'm grateful for all the reviews on Yelp! The meat was flavorful, especially the chorizo. I definitely recommend the chorizo taco. I had juice dripping down my chin, but that's okay, because there are legit, heavy duty paper towels on the tables outside! I was super grateful for them, as using flimsy, cheap paper towels would have been a nightmare with these delicious, juicy tacos! The parking lot is small, but you get your food so fast (and if you're like me, inhale it fast, too), so I don't think it's a problem. I definitely recommend stopping by El Charrito if you're craving authentic, inexpensive Mexican food. Tacos are only $2 a piece! Amazing!

Great taco food truck in Tampa! Stopped by recently and tried out a few tacos and got a side of chips and guacamole. They have many options (like any Mexican restaurant) and are happy to modify at your request. The taste is great and the people are kind! The guac was a little bit watery and had less avocado than you'd expect. Their sauces are spicy which I love but also a bit watered down. Overall, one great option for tacos in Tampa and I'll be going back many times because of the great experience I had!

Came for a typical Mexican experience. 5 stars is because it met expectations. Not the quality of food was 5 stars because I'm sure there are classy ones somewhere lol but this one is exactly what one would expect for a quick lunch. We expected this to be an Mexican experience and it was. Taste exactly how it was suppose to. I have to agree with the other reviewer that the Elotes are better grilled but they boil it here. It's still good. Prices are very reasonable. Mexican soda is the best because they don't put corn syrup in it. Just be careful, if there's rust around the cap, use a straw to drink it. Sopes was good, little greasy but that's expected. Overall expectations were met and that's rare. Had to wait an hour for the corn but that's because we arrived early 10:40am.

Great little taco truck off N Dale Mabry pretty easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There are a few picnic tables out front if you would like to eat your food there and if that is the case they serve their food on an actual plate not styrofoam! Lots of menu items including tacos, quesadillas, plates, burritos and most importantly....churros! They do NOT have birra tacos at this truck. I tried three tacos-chicken, pork and chorizo. I couldn't pass up the cup of street corn or churros either! Everything made fresh and delicious.

This place is not getting the hype it deserves. If I could hitch this to my car and bring it home with me I would.. locals definitely check this place out! I discovered this little food truck back in July. Truly authentic flavors, super friendly folks, and a chance to grab an anytime snack off the side of the road under a tent in Tampa: perfection. Hot salsas, delicious tostadas con queso fresco, tacos (traditional style or supremos), elotes, (occasionally menudo on weekends!) I mean, I could go on. I invited family that lives in the area to try it, having never heard of it, & it's safe to say they rated this food truck higher than any other they'd tried, calling it "authentic" and amazing and ordering extras to go. Sharing here is not allowed! Grab your own elote.

Date: 12-27-18 Time:1115 Brief: An authentic taco spot with friendly service, a broad protein selection and great tacos! A little taco trailer on the side of Dale Mabry that is worth the stop. The tacos are made either authentic or gringo style (opt for the former) and have a wide variety of meat options (lengua/cabeza/pastor/campechana) to name a few. I got a good selection (this means 4) and a water and my bill was just under $10! A bargain in my book. Food was made fresh to order and I tucked in. My two favorites were: Lengua/pastor/chorizo. Yea that's three...they were darn good. Sauces: They have a spicy red and fresh green...get both and use both...they work great together. Good portions of protein, a slice of lime for each taco, double perfectly cooked shells and a great price....what more could you ask for???

Previously this location was occupied by the other taco food truck call El Charrito. Now it is new food truck for this place and also serve taco. I got here before the rain. Thanks goodness they have overhead cover to allow the customer to stay dry next the the food truck. It has about three table under the tent if you decide to eat there. Today I have the steak, pastor, carnitas, and lengua taco. All tacos are $2 except lengua is $2.50. All taco come with 2 corn tortillas in case you break one and the other can be addition protection from the meat to fall apart. The pastor pork has a lot of flavor. It is the different way to marinate the pork I have seen for all my taco experience. The taco is tasty and good for snack or quick lunch. Food delivery is quick. Don't need to wait long.

Lots of food for the money you spend. Some people reported that it was closed during the quarantine... But they are open again with regular business hours. The burritos are massive and so tasty

I'm a fan of food trucks & visited this truck on a Saturday evening around sunset. This food truck is nestled between a Bank of America & a pool dock store. The elote was boiled & unfortunately not grilled, I prefer elote grilled & though it wasn't this one was tasty. I also had a veggie taco & a veggie salad. The taco tasted authentic & was okay. The salad was shredded lettuce with tomatoes, light avocado slices & onions, I would pass on the salad next time. I look forward to trying the quesadilla on my next visit.

I finally discovered this spot after driving past it countless times on my way to the gym. I can't believe I hadn't noticed it, but I'm definitely glad I did!! The service was prompt and pleasant. I'm half Mexican so when it comes to tacos I'm very particular. The tacos de lengua I ordered were definitely up to par; authentic and fresh. I always test the horchata at a new tacos spot if available as well, and I was not disappointed! I'll definitely be coming back!

We started with nachos for the table with chipotle cheese sauce, pickled red onion, pickled chile, guacamole, queso fresco, and sour cream and they were the perfect way to kick everything off. For mains, we ordered the enchiladas poblanas (chicken, queso fresco, house-made mole, crema, onion, and sesame) and shared the steak Tampiqueña with grilled strip steak, refried beans, and rajas corn enchiladas. The steak was genuinely perfection so flavorful and cooked beautifully. I also treated myself to an espresso martini, which was divine...maybe just a little strong, but in the best way. We had a delicious lunch right before our concert, and the location made it super convenient since it was right where we were staying. Overall, such a great sisters' trip meal, amazing food, fun vibe, and a perfect pre-concert stop. Would 100% recommend!!!

The lobster quesadilla was hands down the best quesadilla I've ever had. I also ordered the crab and shrimp enchiladas and everything was seasoned to perfection. What I appreciated most is the build your own taco option, because it allows you to order exactly what you want without paying for a bunch of filler ingredients you were going to push to the side anyway. When you strip it down to the proteins and toppings you actually like, the cost savings are real. In a place like Ybor, where prices can creep up quickly, that matters. Now, the à la carte menu can feel a little confusing at first glance. It is not the most straightforward ordering system if you are just breezing through. But once someone walks you through it and you understand how to piece your order together, it becomes completely worth it. You end up with exactly what you want, and you are not overpaying for things you did not ask for. The vibe was great. The service was friendly and patient, which helps when you are trying to decode the menu. And the location is ideal. There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas on the sunny side of the street, which gives you options. You can sit in the sun if you want that warm Florida glow, or you can stay shaded if you are protecting your skin but still want to be outside watching the action unfold on the strip. And let's be honest, half the entertainment in Ybor is people watching. Add in the random roosters casually strolling around like they own the neighborhood, and you have a full show with your meal. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks on food while still soaking up everything Ybor City has to offer. Good tacos, good vibes, good people watching. Hard to beat that combination.

Not much changed from it being the previous locations of other restaurants, but it definitely needs more natural light. It's like eating in a dungeon. The tacos there was a lot going on on the menu and I'm sure this is a niche, but it is not a niche. I am on board with any taco that had ground beef was kind of disgusting the other tacos. You could've made them at home and probably made them better if you're looking for authenticity this is not the place. Service the service was not much to write home about nothing was stellar, but nothing was bad. With all things being equal, this is not a place that I would naturally recommend somebody likes it but it's probably the same people that eat Tijuana flat.
