Stopped here to satisfy a quick taco craving, and we've officially added it to our favorite taco list. Don Ely and Perla greeted us with a smile and kind disposition, and they were happy to answer our questions and recommend dishes. The staff was very attentive. We loved the food because: - The yellow corn tortillas made the taco experience authentic and delicious. - The tacos were extremely fresh because Don Ely preps everything right there for you. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to come back for the weekend birria and barbacoa. In photos: we tried the chicken, al pastor, and asada tacos, as well as an asada super taco with beans and avocado.

I am so glad I stumbled upon Don Ely food truck yesterday afternoon. I was drawn to them by the wonderful scent I got of the food. I ended up ordering the chilaquiles plate with carne asada. The portion was big and the chilaquiles was very flavorfu. The plate comes with two fried eggs and a good portion of carne asada and melted cheese over the chilaquiles, and paired wonderfully with Mexican rice and beans. I highly recommend you guys come try Don Ely because today I returned with 3 of my colleagues and they all was happy thought now they have a new spot to go to for lunch.

Whenever I'd hear about a food truck back in the day, the first thing that would come to mind is prepackaged food. However, those days are long gone! These food trucks are now capable of whipping up gourmet meals that could potentially rival any local sit down restaurant. At this particular location, the trucks only come out on Friday night, with 9-11 different trucks to choose from. They also provide live music and fun games for the family. They do provide 5 gallon buckets that are used for seats, and a couple of planks/boards that can be used as tables while you are scarfing down your food. Some folks just bring their own chairs, as those buckets eventually make your ass pretty sore. These are the trucks that will be here on Friday 10/30/15 333 Truck Chairman Truck Fairycakes Gold Rush Eatery Oh Miso Hungry Sam's Chowdermobile Sanguchon Treatbot Waffle Amore As you can see, it is pretty diverse. From a cupcake to a lobster roll, take your pick! Side note: If you plan on staying for a few hours, bring your own chairs! Your ass will thank you later. Conclusion: Who wants to keep track of where a certain food truck is going to be next week at 11:30 AM on Wednesday? Show up on a Friday night and you can treat yourself to about 10 trucks at once. It doesn't get any better than that. ***Minus 1 Star for some of the ridiculous prices***

Super generous about their lobster! - First time, I've never had the Po Boy (andouille - slightly spiced) but it was good and oily though. Fries were bomb! - Chairman's pork belly bun was delicious, a wee bit on the greasy side - Ice cream flavors we had were Ube - Purple Yam, Old School Vanilla, and The 408 - Caramel Ice Cream with Oreos and Fudge. I loved my "The 408" so yummylicious! - Always a great way to spend time with your friends and family.

I'm eating the other half for breakfast tomorrow. Great flavor in the meat. I also got their choco flan. What a yummy treat. It was flan on top of a thin layer of chocolate cake. Not sure if that's unique, but I haven't seen it before. Again, YUM. The employees are nice and willing to tell you all about their food. Great covered seating area with 4 large picnic tables. It's tucked away behind the auto shop, so it's quiet and peaceful, despite being at a busy intersection. These guys take pride in their food. It shows! They have a great Taco Tuesday special 4pm-10pm. $0.99 Tacos! (Cash only for the special) They set up outside of the truck and assemble the tacos while others are inside keeping a steady stream of freshly cooked meat coming out. NOTE: many reviews claim they take only cash or Venmo. This is only during the taco Tuesday special. It's a Saturday night and I just used my credit card. Give them a try.

They have three available meats for their $1 taco deal: al pastor, carnitas, and chicken. The taco truck only accepts cash or Venmo. The atmosphere was casual, with plenty of group of friends waiting for a late-night bite. The food was definitely worth the wait. The tacos were filled with meat, onions, and cilantro. Each taco was so flavorful, and the meat was cooked to perfection. My favorite was definitely the al pastor: it was tender and savory. I can't wait for my next visit!

The best of the bunch was the dahi batata puri, but it still didn't quite hit the spot. It was definitely on the sweeter side and I felt like the dahi/yogurt wasn't as creamy as I prefer. The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. All of us found it unbearable and worse of all felt the affects for a day after. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes but after the all the discomfort of the meal- I don't feel inclined to return.

Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else. Thank me later.

First off, parking was free and they have an open lot. We were surprised by the ambiance. It felt like a cute dhaba vibe with tables, chairs and string lights. The spice level was pretty high so if you can't handle spice, something to communicate to them while placing the order. The vada pav was fresh and tasty. It came with tamarind and green chutney. We liked the chaats so much that we also got the samosa chaat. The portion size was good and it was packed with flavor. Lastly, we got poha. It tasted authentic and the poha was soft and seasoned well. Overall, we had a great experience and I highly recommend checking out this food truck. You won't be disappointed!

Here's what I've tried so far, and every single dish has been a hit: * Masala Chai - warm, perfectly spiced, tastes like it's brewed with care * Masala Chaas - refreshing and tangy, exactly how it should be * Egg Bhurji Pav - soft, buttery pav with flavorful, perfectly spiced egg bhurji * Paneer Bhurji Pav - a great veg alternative, equally rich and satisfying * Kolhapuri Misal Pav - bold, spicy gravy with great depth of flavor, a standout * Paneer Tikka Wrap - smoky, well-marinated paneer with just the right amount of kick Everything tastes authentic, not a watered-down version made for the Bay Area -- this genuinely feels like Mumbai street food.
