Tacos Los Primos - Tacos de pastor - Food Trucks Near Me - Whittier, California

I thought this place was pretty good! In total we paid about $32 for 7 tacos, 1 burrito, and 1 mulita! I thought that was pretty good pricing. The tacos were good, and the salsas had flavor! One actually had a little bit of spice which was good if you like a little kick! The meat was good and overall I really enjoyed the tacos. I tried the Al pastor and the cabeza and both were pretty good. They also give all the proper condiments on the side which I always appreciate, like the grilled onion especially! The service was very quick we didn't wait long at all, and the salsa station was very clean and organized. They also had a little bench set up outside the truck you can sit on if you want to eat there. I would come again, parking isn't too bad you can park along the street or there's actually a little lot nearby I saw a couple people coming from while I was there! read more

4 stars because They were out of asada early! parking was hard but man it felt so exciting, like I was back in Mexico again. Our tortillas were the teeny tiny doubles, freshly made and cooked. One guy was carving the trompo, one guy filling the order, and another guy handling cash and rolling burritos. It was quite the experience for me, and jealous that I live far away and the locals get to experience this feat of entrepreneurship on the regular. We saw raza and gringos eating together just enjoying their meals. Recommend coming early and don't park in the grocery store lot, there's security prowling around! Also we have no pics because we scarfed that ish down fast. read more

This used to be the spot! However it has downhill in the last year, the quality was lacking and I was "ok" with it, but today I got a burrito and I was extremely dissatisfied! This $13.00 dollar burrito was not only awful but small! Needless to say I will not be returning here anymore... read more

The tacos were just okay for $2 tacos. The green sauce was mild and the red was about a medium in heat. Service was quick. The asada was chopped nicely. Al pastor was burnt. I don't think I would ever eat here again. read more

Tacos Los Primos is our go to taco spot. The employees are so welcoming, the service is quick and easy. We've tried plenty of items and have never been disappointed. I'm usually a red sauce kind of girl, but the green sauces are where it's at. The salsa bar is usually fully stocked and clean. It is serve yourself. They don't accept card but they do take zelle. There's some benches out during the week and table seeting during the weekends. read more

Best service reasonable prices and good food. Always get Al pastor tacos at $2 and carne asada fries which is a lot and very tasty.

I've never had food truck tacos and I have always been curious about this particular truck that parks right in front of the Whittier DMV. AND WOW! I was so happy that each taco I chose, was like heaven! Their carnitas, asada, cabeza, Chicharron, and lengua, if I remember correctly, since my husband paired up a tall beer to go with our tacos. I gave them 4 stars, just wish they would arrive earlier than 6 pm because by then I'm starving. Lol Sorry, I forgot to take fotos, again because I was starving. LOL! Thank you Tacos Los Primos for continuing to make your rounds in this area. read more

They accept cash only. Get with the technology. Who carries cash with them nowadays? I went today and left to go buy tacos down the street at the pop up on Mulberry and Mills. read more

this lil taco truck place has my whole heart, they are so kind and the food is good. It's not out of this world but it's reliable and that's hard to come by in my opinion! They aren't stingy with their food or salsa and that's always a plus! Prices are reasonable and so are the size portions. I take all my friends here who are craving some good ol lonchera food. They only take cash! read more

The tacos are alright, I had this place for the first time about a year ago and it was amazing, it hasn't been up to par lately, Salsa is bland. I hate taking tacos to go bc they get cold so I decided to have them there, to my surprise they were cold. LoL. The nachos are simple, nacho cheese from a gas station beans and meat.. they are nice but need some work. read more

Not the same place. I came to this place before the pandemic a few times and they were fantastic and the owner was pretty cool and friendly. The food is not the same, the chorizo and carne asada tacos were dry and it tasted like a lacked something. My wife did not care for her quesadilla either and the service was not the same. The friendly and pleasant man behind the counter is gone and replaced by a bitter old man that treated us as if he was doing us a favor. Sorry buddy, I got news for you, we live in LA county, there is a taco stand in every corner - and plenty of good authentic food. Not coming back!! read more

Good tacos back in the day... But there over rated now...... But looks like there still going strong ..... I passed by painter and they bought a location inside the lil plaza across street from the DMV ........ The best deal they have are the 4 tacos de carne asada for 5$ read more

They are good, you need to try there nacho asada fries, they are delicious. Two stars gone for because because they do CASH ONLY. No Zelle.

Love the friendliness. Always treat you like family. Good prices. Good quality. Love everything on the menu

This truck started parking by the DMV a while back and i noticed it but never gave it much thought. Then one evening I was thinking about what to get for dinner and saw all the great reviews, knew it was literally just down the street from me so I figured lets give it a try. Now the best street tacos I have found in the area are Cilantros Tacos across from the Blue Hills nursery. I was excited to try the tacos here just from all the 5 star reviews. Unfortunantly I cant give it 5 stars. Yes, the tacos are good but I've had better. I found the meat in all my tacos (lengua, tripe and cabeza) to be a little too greasy. Taste wise it was fine. On the plus side the tacos are only $1.25 ea. Cant beat that. I dunno. ok tacos, close to the house. I'd consider going back. by the way lots of folks here on a saturday night getting they eat on. read more

Loveeee this taco truck, best tacos ever, their green salsa is the best, friendly staff

I am always a little iffy about eating at food trucks, but recently my husband decided to stop by for a burrito and I had to try as well. He loved his burrito and I loved my tacos. By far, probably the best tacos in the area! The meat is delicious, not dry, and very flavorful. I love that the give all the side stuff for the tacos too - grilled onions, peppers, etc. The staff is friendly and they're usually at the same spot until pretty late. definitely a good spot to try. The al pastor tacos are DELICIOUS!!! read more

Fantastic Tacos! Well, we all love tacos and this is another truck that has earned the "I'm going back" moniker. With so many tacos spots out there I find many to just simply "taste the same". This little spot has a better than average taste which is always good for me. It's not a five stars taco, which I know a couple spots that earned them 5 stars - but it's a really good spot. You can find them here in the evenings. They have a pretty good selection. I recommend the buche and tripa, they are cooked really well and saturated with all the great stuff that's bad for you. Love tacos! Enjoy read more
