What a cute find. I read the reviews and wholly disagree with them. There was so much flavor in those tacos. The Fajita beef was well seasoned. It came with onion, cilantro, quesos fresco cheese, avocado, lime, and salsa Verde. Every bite was delicious. I am a fan of cheese, so the heavy cheese was appreciated. It wasn't greesy. I could see how folks would say that if you got the bottom of the pot. They also were a nice size. It's not huge, but a nice, appropriate hand size.

Classified as a "food truck" and rated 4/5 stars on Yelp, we decided to try out this taco joint. There were many locals coming in and out of the "food truck," so that's definitely a good sign. We ordered a taco, quesadilla, gordita, and a horchata. Once the order arrived and we started eating, it was hard to distinguish between each dish and they all tasted the same. The food was very greasy compared to the other taco restaurants I've tried in Texas. No surprise, but it turns out I still don't care for horchata. I wanted to try it again since this place seemed more "authentic" than some of the other restaurants I've visited. However, it didn't change my mind.

I've order here a few times amd ordered fries. But this time these fries are white, not cooked and smell strong like sitting in oil. There is no number to call but I will be there this afternoon in person.

Fast and friendly service! This place has been here forever and anyone who comes here knows why. They always have a line but it's a short wait. Very good tacos and aguas frescas! My favorites are the fajita and camaron. All of their aguas are really good. I come here pretty often! read more

I am unable to DM you but this took place 11/21 @ about 8:30-9:30 card transaction I don't think I have the receipt due to I trashed it with the food but I have the bank record charge ($53.25) and I know what I ordered) I moved out of Aldine over five years ago. Will occasionally come back just for these tacos they neverdisappoint. Today was very different. The tacos were very hard. The beef was very hard , it was as if everything was just reheated from yesterday. The torta was totally different than their usual. I really hope that this is not the new Taco Loco way. This was a big disappointment. $53.25 thrown away I doubt they will care to make things rite. read more

This is my favorite taco truck in the Aldine area. The food is delicious and well cooked. I've tried a couple of other trucks in the area and none come close. If you want something fast and delicious, this is a solid choice. Yelp says they're cash only but they DO accept cards. read more

This is or WAS my favorite lunch spot. Been going here two years and fell in love with the place. They start hiring new people and now my order is never correct. First issue is my no grill onions request...they kept adding the grilled onions. I love a whole lime with my order, one particular woman never gives me my lime. Same women burns my fajita meat every time. The sauce is one of their specialties...I go today no sauce. The cashier is my favorite person because she knows me and knows my order but when it leaves her hands I'm doomed! I'm just really disappointed because I don't know another taco truck better than this place. read more

Please please go here! It is out for his world good! (Bring CASH!) There is a wide selection of meats for tacos, burritos, papusas, about anyway you want it and all will knock your socks off. I highly recommend the Carnitas. The street tacos are the size of your palm so order 1-2 more than you think you want. Can't wait to come back. read more

Traveling thru from Virginia and came upon this little stand. Neat and super clean outside with a small little enclosed area to order and a few picnic tables. Food~tostada was amazing! My hub loved his burrito. We even ordered touristy drinks, Horchata and Pina. Super tasty. We may be here a few days and will definitely revisit. read more

I work at the high school next door and so I've been to this truck a bunch and it is my favorite. I always get the fajita tacos with everything (grilled onions, cilantro, avocado) on flour tortillas. The salsa that comes along is very flavorful and spicy. The seating area leaves a little to be desired but what can you expect from a taco truck. If you come early enough, they have breakfast burritos that are fillingly big and full of flavor- you really can't go wrong. Order whatever you like but remember cash- no cards are accepted here. Edit- breakfast burritos are an all day thing. Rejoice. Edit 2- cards and Apple Pay now available. What a future to live in. read more

Inside it is a one room eatery with counter service. My first visit was to try the Birria Burrito for $16 with the meal delivered about 10 minutes later. It consisted of their Birria meat cooked for 4 hours mixed with chorizo, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream all wrapped in a large flour tortilla seasoned with their special red colored seasoning. With the meal came a cup of consomne'. Guy Fieri would say, Welcome to Flavortown! It was delicious. The Birria beef was so tender and the flavored flour tortilla with that proprietary red seasoning they use was perfect. It was a very filling meal and well worth the price. So much so, I thought about it the next day. Another visit was to try one of their specialities, the Quesabirria for $14. This meal consisted of 3 grilled and crispy corn tortillas seasoned again with their special red colored magic dust. The tortillas had the delicious Birria meat and cheese inside and I again loved them. The tortillas are only slightly crispy and the meat, cheese and tortillas memorable. This meal also came with a cup of consommé for dipping. Another nice thing about eating here is the customer service. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The guy bussing the tables acted more like the owner than an employee with his helpfulness and the actual manager came out to check on us. Impressive for a counter service restaurant. Tacos Dona Lena deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants of its kind. Incredible food and employees all at very reasonable prices. I asked if I could get the pistachio dream with oatmilk and the server recommended against it saying it would make the drink too sweet. I appreciated her honest advice and got the dragonfruit strawberry refresher instead. It was definitely refreshing with the perfect amount of ice to keep it cold but not water it down. I also tried one of the mini croissants which is probably what will keep me coming back. Flaky and full of high quality cheese and spices, I wish I had gotten two! I'll definitely come back at an earlier time since a lot of the pastries were sold out.
