Decided to try this place out on a whim. I usually go to the place down the street but decided to give this place a shot. It was ok but I doubt that I'll be going back. While the place was VERY clean and fast I just don't think what I received was worth the $20 ($3 a taco and $6 for fries +tax) I spent. My usual place cost less ($1.50-$2.00) and I get more. The fries looked good but were not seasoned at all. The lady there was nice though. She greeted me with a smile as soon as I got inside

This is Federal's best kept secret! Tacos are great and tortas are bigger than your face! My boyfriend and I came here around 11:30am on a Saturday, and we were the only people there. I think they opened pretty recently. The space was super shiny and clean! I ordered the asada torta and my boyfriend had the asada tacos. The papas gafas looked interesting so we go those as well. They were just fries slathered in ketchup and mayo. Fries were fresh, I have no complaints. First off, it's def not a super cheap place, $29 for all that and a jarritos soda. However, the quality of ingredients used beckons that price. The torta was MASSIVE and loaded with super fresh veggies. The dude asked me if I wanted everything and I said "sure." "Everything" includes iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickles jalapeños, and avocado. Mind you, this sandwich is a little greasy, but in the best type of way. The bread was toasted to perfection with a thick slathering of mayo, just barely thick enough to soak up all the meat juices. The carne asada was cut into thin slivers and perfectly seasoned. Meat was a bit fatty, so if you're not into that... don't get carne asada? My boyfriend scarfed up his tacos. They come four to an order and he could've easily polished off two orders. You dress your own tacos. They have a sauce bar you can access if you are dining in: three salsas, sliced radishes and cucumbers, onions and cilantro. The salsas were very good and more savory than sour. We're already thinking of going back in the near future and trying out some other meat choices. Come for the tacos, stay for the tortas!

    Tacos, excellent.

The food here is made really quick but it's just not that great. Overpriced food, even the street tacos. I won't be stopping by here again.

It's going to be about $10 a head, but they use good cuts of meat. Tortes are especially on point. Manzanita Sol in the fridge.

Kike's Red Tacos changed my life. Before this place, I was a normal person. After my first queso…read moretaco dipped into that rich, glorious consomé, I became someone who casually considers flying to Denver "for lunch." I started going when they were still operating out of their food truck, and honestly, watching them grow into a permanent restaurant feels like seeing your favorite underground band finally make it big... except instead of music, they're dropping cheesy taco masterpieces. The queso tacos are absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way: crispy, cheesy, messy, and worth ruining at least one shirt over. And the consome? That stuff could heal emotional damage. It's rich, comforting, and somehow makes you immediately want "just one more taco" even when you're already full. Every time I'm in Denver, this place is mandatory. Not optional. Not "if there's time." Mandatory. My vacation itinerary basically starts with flights and ends with tacos. So happy to see Kike's getting the recognition they deserve. If you haven't been yet, prepare to have your standards permanently ruined for all other tacos.

The horchata, though? Genuinely great. I actually also really liked the elote but my partner didn't. The consomé was fine, nothing memorable. It's a decent enough spot to swing by, but I'm not going out of my way to come back tbh.

It's also very unassuming. It looks like a very small restaurant on the outside but once you are inside, you'll be shocked to see its good size dining area. This place is all about happiness. I mean seriously!! They care about their customers that get satisfied with their service and meals. And it does draw a very diverse crowd from the Hispanics to Caucasians to Asians, I mean you name it. They also get a lot of to-go orders. Some people came in, grabbed their food and went on their way for the night. My friend got the Torta Los Carboncito. This is a massive sandwich with plenty of meat inside. Since the menu has colored picofor almost each item, what caught my attention was the fish dish. There are two of them: one is trout and the other is something else (I forgot) but I got me the non-trout one. The lady asked me if I wanted the flour or corn tortillas so I went with the corn one. As soon as I got home, my late night snacking started. I only took several bites out of that whatever the huge fish. And oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Well-seasoned with very light salt. Although I mainly got it for tomorrow morning/lunch I had a hard time quit eating because of its deliciousness. Extremely welcoming staff (I even met the owner, Alex as he was dining with his family), quality food and value pricing, this place checks out for the hidden gem restaurant that's not necessarily super fancy but it's worth every penny and time. Yelping is so much fun. That is why I cannot quit my foodie-ness! What a nice discovery!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.
