old decaying meat. (from a carnitas taco)

Was excited to try this new place after reading all the great reviews and was unfortunately very disappointed. I ordered asada, al pastor, and carnitas tacos to try them all. The asada is not authentic asada meat, seems like they're trying to pass cheaper slab meat for asada. The al pastor taco was more like a stew? I have never had such an odd al pastor taco before, maybe this is a unique take on al pastor by them but trust me - it is not good. Lastly the carnitas tacos was just awful; the meat looked old and smelled foul. I saw them preparing tortillas in the back so I can vouch that those were fresh but all the meats definitely were not and at least like a week old. Maybe it was the day I went, but I definitely wouldn't even want to try it again in fear that I would get sick. The only thing I thoroughly enjoyed were their salsas which were pretty tasty!

Glad to see them in Palmdale! All my co-workers from Pasadena know. Anyone judging and isn't from there don't know what is up.

Their food needs to improve. Their service is good. Their tacos al pastor are just marinated, salty carnitas. Not authentic enough.

That being said, Super-Wifey spotted this small but nice place on Yelp, and it was literally across the street! And with good reviews! Hit 'D' for Drive, Dad. And, there was no wait! Their menu is not too terribly extensive at first glance, as compared to some places, but that's not a bad thing as they have most of the go-to dishes covered after reading through. I usually get a carne asada burrito in a new place, or carnitas tacos. You know, the required staples. If a place can do those well then you're in good hands. The Mexican food litmus test. Well, everything we tried had loads of flavor... fresh tasting, not too salty, just spot-on. The offspring had the chicken nachos and also the quesadilla with shredded chicken. They looked great-on-the-plate which is always a good sign, right..? Wifey had the taco combo plate, and these were main-dish taco's, not the smaller street taco's (which I think they have also), and she was all thumbs up. I had a carne asada burrito mojado (wet) with 1/2 red, 1/2 green sauce, which tasted great... lots of flavor, a bit of spice on the red sauce (not too caliente, thanks) and the green sauce was very good, with lots of fresh tomatillo flavor. And I had a half pineapple/half tamarindo combo drink that was so fruity. First time on that flavor mix. And I'm guessing here, but I think they are a family business, and a very nice family indeed. The best places often are, it seems. They do take-out orders as well, and we're going to be ringing them up the next time a Mexican food craving hits us. There are a LOT of great Central and South American places in our local area to choose from; Mexican, Salvadoran, grilled Pollo (and NOT the crazy chicken place, thank you...) and Seafood specialists, take your choice. But these Folks hit the Comfort Food button spot-on. Next time I'll try the carnitas and will report back. Great Job..! See you soon..!

It's nice to find a place that can be consistent! I had chilaquiles today, with carne asada. I tried it with half red and half green, both sauces were delish! And my steak was so juicy and flavorful. Oh, and the cafe de olla was the cherry on top

This place came up and the wife and I based on the pics on ig opted to give it a shot. The restaurant has ample seating and even has a drive thru which I thought was both weird but cool. Lol We ordered 2 menudos one with hominy and the other without, both orders come with 3 tortillas each, handmade I think and it's condiments. (Cilantro, onion, lemon and oregano). A combo of quésabirria tacos that comes with rice, beans and consome and to drink we shared a large passion fruit agua fresca. The food was good. I liked the menudo but in all honesty I did think they skimp on the serving. For the cost, I personally feel they should have filled up the containers. (For those who like pata this one didnt have any nor was it offered. I know other establishments ask if you would like pata included or not). The quesabirria tacos were good. We got everything for to go in case we had any leftovers. The food all in all was good. But what I truly enjoyed and would give it another 5 stars lol was the agua fresca. Im not a fan of passion fruit but this one was refreshing and just perfect. Also, the service is a 10 out of 10. We were greeted upon entering. The young girl working the front counter was both very helpful and pleasant and so was the young guy when my wife approached the counter. Even the women working the kitchen seemed very friendly and welcoming. One other thing I observed is they all wear hairnets. Huge plus!

And the the birria were fiah!!!! Then, as we were finishing up my man Damian (he's the DT Lead Trainer) came out with even more great customer servies.
