We've always had maybe 1 or 2 dogs with us and so we'd sit out on the patio. These dogs are quiet and obedient. They just lie under the table at your feet and are never restless & never beg/bark/whine. Since we had a larger party and now 3 dogs with us, maybe it drew more attention? Our waiter said that he will have to ask the boss if it's okay that we have dogs since usually it's policy to not have dogs on the premises. We were so confused since we've been coming here. The boss/owner/manager, I can't remember exactly his title, came outside and let us know that unfortunately, pets are not allowed, even on the patio. We were all taken aback with nothing to say except having dropped jaws as he was walking away. Before he completely left our sight, we asked when that became a policy since we have always been here with dogs. He said it's always been a rule and cannot speak for his employees and the decisions they make when he's not there. He goes on to state that the pets are unclean and that he has customers. In that moment, I thought, "What are we then? Have we never been customers?" With a firm tone, he asked us to cooperate. It would have been a different kind of feeling if this boss had said ANYTHING along the lines of, "We would love to have you back to dine with us, but please without your dogs." This interaction felt like major rejection, hate towards pets, and to just get out immediately. We had already ordered 3 cortado frios, which I always think is to-die-for here, and that will be our last sips from them. It was also way more sweet than strong this time, sadly. We will not be returning to this establishment.

The truck was painted in unique colors; the aroma of freshly grilled meat wafted through the air, and the sound of salsa music added to the vibrant atmosphere. The customers flocked to the taco truck, eager to purchase their favorite tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. The menu at Tacos El Afro was straightforward but packed with flavor. Each taco was freshly made to order, with your choice of meat, including chicken, beef, pork or fish. 2nd time giving this place a chance and I'm officially done, first off always make sure they give you your receipt because we paid 45$ and some change and they forgot 3 of our queso birria tacos so we got ripped off, second the quality of their meat is trash the al pastor meat taste like chorizo and is chewy, the chorizo is like a very cheap chorizo meat and the lengua had absolutely no flavor, this place is over hyped and there are so much better taco trucks in the av with excellent quality meat don't waste your time here. read more

This place was just ok. Great technology while you wait in your car with the in line buzzer. Sadly that's the only great thing. Carne Asada burrito was small, not the best flavor but was decent. One of the better burritos in the AV, but that isn't saying much. Eating burritos from San Diego to this was a shoulder shrug. Would I go back?
