Small, hole in the wall shop. I was looking for a quick bite after my refereeing assignment, and this place was perfect. Got five street tacos: 2 carne asada, 2 carnitas, 1 Al pastor. Everything was delicious (and sloppy)! Each meat was flavorful and distinctive, but my favorite was the carnitas: very moist, juicy and porky. They had a small salsa bar with a couple of different sauces, chopped onions, cilantro, pickled red onions, peppers. Tacos were $2 and the can of soda was also, $2. read more

Came across these amazing people last night at Progressive Brewery. What an amazing meal! Staff very friendly and patient as I contemplated what I wanted. Through word of mouth I herd of this special burrito they offer that is not on the menu. Omg! You will not regret ordering this! I'm a taco guy, but when they explain the burrito and it's meats (yes more than one) I had to have it. It's call the D.S Burrito. So good that bites were taken by my friend behind my back. You can taste the quality of meats here, juice and seasoning is not overpowering. Burritos will have some juice do to it being dipped into their secret sauce. Not greasy read more

Love this business! Best tacos EVER! I first tried the tacos when my friend invited me to Progress Brewing and shared one with me. I couldn't get them off my mind so I figured out who they were and realized they were serving at one of my favorite breweries the following week. Ever since then I've been following them wherever they go and I'd be lying if I said I don't impatiently wait for them to post their schedule up every week on instagram. I even go to one of my least favorite breweries to just eat their tacos. Their sauces are bomb, their tacos are amazing and the owners are awesome! Definitely recommend. read more

We had several delicious tacos at the Tacos La Bomba pop-up restaurant in front of MacCleod's Brewery in Van Nuys. The brothers use their mom's technique of dipping the tortillas in red chili sauce before grilling them. This imparts a rich smoky taste to the taco. My friends enjoyed the shredded chicken and carne asada tacos covered with a nice pile of onions, cilantro, and cabbage (customers can help themselves to these toppings.) According to my friends, the meat was tender and free from fat and gristle, which unfortunately plague many street tacos. I had the vegan/vegetarian tacos-- one filled with homemade soyrizo, and the other with potatoes and zucchini. Both were great (not too oily and not bland at all.) We were all hungry, so we appreciated the generous portions. We were pleasantly surprised by the low, low prices ($7 for 4 plump tacos.) They offer 3 different salsas in squeeze bottles: the red one was very spicy, and the green one was a citrusy tomatillo blend that was just perfect. I didn't try the yellow salsa.) There was no pico de gallo, but nobody missed it. These are authentic street tacos without any gourmet pretentiousness , and that was reflected in the low price and traditional flavor. They went perfectly with the beer. Check the MacCleod's Brewery website for nights when this pop-up taco vender will be there. read more

Let me start by saying, I love tacos. Honestly people, they are like the perfect food. It's like a Mexican hamburger turned sideways that you can eat with one hand. Anyway, We saw on the Sanctum Brewery Facebook page that Tacos La Bomba was going to be at their location on a Thursday. And I mean, what goes better with beer than some Mexican food amirite? Regardless, I had heard SO many good things about them, that I was eager to see what the hype was all about. SPOILER ALERT: It was REALLY, REALLY GOOD! I wanted to get a good, overall scope of what they had (okay truth, I was starving), so I ordered the La Bomba Grande ... which was 2 Tacos, a Mulita, and a Quesadilla. I had the tacos with pastor, the Mulita with chorizo, and the Quesadilla with Asada. The tacos were your standard size street taco, but the pastor meat and cheese must have had crack in it, because I couldn't stop eating them. They were THAT good, no foolin'. The Quesadilla was huge, and stuffed with asada and cheese. Like really, it could have been a meal in its self. But I gotta say, what blew me away was the Mulita!!! Holy cats, that thing was amazing. For those of you who are unaware of this amazing bit of culinary loveliness, it's two corn tortillas dipped in a red sauce, then stuffed with meat (the chorizo was amazing, by the way) and cheese, then grilled and topped with a hot, medium or mild sauce. Wow, just wow. I've already changed my will to be buried with at least 3-dozen of these in case I come back from the dead and need a snack. Side note, as far as the sauce goes, I like hot, but the medium sauce was almost a little much for me. It was really good, but was just on the edge of that pain/flavor line for me. Then again, along with a good beer, that was kinda of a moot point. Don't expect this to be a luxury dining experience. It's a pop up street vendor, but DO NOT let that sway you from checking them out!!! They have the right stuff, and I expect them to open a brick and motor place .... or at the very least a food truck in the near future. Bottom line: Run, do not walk to where ever they are and get your grub on! read more

I think I found my new favorite taco stand! These tacos are full of flavor and the meat was cooked perfectly. The guy dips the tortillas in a special red sauce then heats them. The pollo and carne asada tacos were delicious. You can add your own toppings (shredded cabbage, cilantro, or/and onions). There's three sauces: mild green tomatillo, an orange sauce that has a mild kick, and a spicy sauce in a red bottle that's only for the brave. I like to taste my food and enjoy it so I didn't touch the hot sauce. Some people like to sweat in pain and only taste heat. That's not me, but enjoy if that's your thing! They also offer chorizo as a meat option as well as queasdillas. You can get 4 tacos for $5 or get the whole shebang (tacos, mulita, and a quesadilla) for $10. Of course you can always order separately if you just want a little taste. I also had a carne asada mulita. It's meat and cheese smack in the middle of the famous red tortillas. You can choose your own toppings. Love it! Now let's talk about location: they are partnered with SoCal Pizza. The stand is behind the building so you'll have to drive around to the back. You are free to sit inside SoCal Pizza and order your drinks there since there are no drinks at the stand. It's also during happy hour! You can make it a party and add pizza and alcohol if you please! They are open from 5pm-9pm on Tuesdays only in Norwalk and they have a second location they travel to in Van Nuys every other Monday and every Wednesday. \(^-^)/ read more

I read the reviews that said that it was BEHIND So Cal Pizza. I still was a little leery when we were getting there because as you are driving alongside at the building you're thinking, "It can't be back here." And then you turn the corner and BAM! There are kids skateboarding, a line of parked cars to match the line of people waiting next to the pop-up tent where they were busy making tacos, burritos, mulitas, and quesadillas. I will give them that their signature dipped and grilled tortillas are different. I didn't really notice a big difference in the taste though. Their meat was good and I did enjoy my food. I liked that it wasn't really greasy. The other thing that makes this better than most of your other taco stands/trucks is that they have some type of agreement with So Cal Pizza where you can walk in through the back door and eat inside the establishment. It's probably because most people go in and buy sodas and/or beer. It's not the end all be all of taco stands, but it is definitely worth a go. Sidenote: They are only at this location in Norwalk on Tuesday nights from 5pm to approximately 9pm. You follow them on Instagram (@tacoslabomba) to keep up-to-date on where they are and what their hours will be. read more

I inquired about catering for our 400 person event and first they quoted me wrong and continued to miscalculate different items. Next, we had a meeting scheduled two days prior to our event and they were over an hour late for that meeting. We then had trouble getting a hold of them to give them their deposit and had a run around with that all the while they threatened to back out the day before the event because of it. Then, the day of the event comes and I ask them to be here at 2PM and they had the nerve to argue with me about that, when they are supposed to be catering to us! We were giving them business! They said they would be here at 3:30PM. Well, 3:30PM rolls around and they are still not here. Finally, they said they were stuck in traffic and unable to make it. How do you run a business in Los Angeles and not know the appropriate time to leave with traffic?! THERE IS ALWAYS TRAFFIC. They ended up backing out on us ONE HOUR before our event was to start, leaving us scrambling to find catering for 400 PEOPLE in ONE HOUR. They continued to blame us for all of this saying they got the deposit late even though that was not our fault to begin with!!! Such unprofessional service the whole way through!!! read more

We decided to use Tacos La Bomba as our caterer for a 400 person event after we tried their food at Progress Brewing. Unexpectedly, Tacos La Bomba cancelled ONE HOUR before the event leaving me and my team to find food for 400 people within an hour. The stress and anxiety they put us through was intolerable. And they didn't have the decency to apologize. I was blown away by their negligence and lack of professionalism. We obviously will not be using Tacos La Bomba again. read more

So glad Yelp got me to go here! I was searching for tacos on my way home and this was the first place that popped up. Located behind So Cal Pizza ONLY THERE TUESDAYS Owner is super cool My husband really liked the tacos. Esp the hot sauce! What made them different were how the tortillas are made. They're dipped on some red sauce and then grilled. I fell in love with the Malitas. The overloaded cheese gets grilled on the ends of the tortilla. Oh man, so good! Plenty of parking in the back of the building. read more

Oh. My. God. Tacos La Bomba was at Alosta Brewing's Trivia Night. I can't believe how delicious this food was. I had all four meat choices (two tacos and two bombitas) and they were all incredible. They have an excellent selection of veggies and sauces to top your food with. The tacos were delicious, but those bombitas (mulitas) were one of the most delicious things I have had in a while. Whatever delicious liquid they dip their tortillas in is what puts it over the top, I think. After having four items, I wasn't really hungry, but since it was so delicious, I went and got another bombita. You really can't go wrong with this place. I can't wait til they are back at Alosta. read more

On the constant hunt for great tasting tacos, we came upon this "pop up" taco stand, located behind SoCal Pizza on Tuesday evenings only. PROS - They are real nice, explain the variety of tacos to you etc. The hot salsa has a great kick to it! Meat is tender & flavorful, tortillas don't break either while you're eating. CONS - minus 1 star only there on Tuesdays, what about weekends?! Need more!! Hahaha read more

Behind So Cal Pizza Tuesday evenings at this point. Now that we got that out of the way on with the details. I like the idea of a pop up taco stand, however they are not prepared to handle a mini dinner rush. The food is tasty, but slightly overpriced compared to other similar options. I ordered several items to sample. While already having waited a considerable amount of time, I heard the cook tell the assistant who was busy socializing that they ran out of carne asada. That delay cost yet more time. Once i got my food, the carne asada was marinated with tasty spices. The chorizo had a nice flavor profile without being overly greasy. Overall it's not a bad spot if you are trying to be adventurous and try something unique. Not sure if I'll go back due to the slow service. read more

Located literally behind So Cal Pizza (behind the building) and only on Tuesdays. It's in the back parking lot. There are 2 very friendly guys. One taking the order while the other one cooked. As a customer of Tacos La Bomba, u have complete access to So Cal Pizza sitting area and beverages. I was looking forward to trying them after reading all of the reviews. Very simple menu. Tacos, mulitas and quesadillas. Choice of asada, chicken or chorizo. I ordered 2 of the Bomba grande. It consists of 2 tacos, 1 mulita and 1 quesadilla. I ordered one in chicken and one in chorizo. Unfortunately they ran out of asada. For me it's not a problem, it's actually encouraging. Business is booming and for a small business it's always a good sign. They also ran out of tortillas for the quesadillas. I was fortunate enough to get the last ones. As for the food, it was good. The tortillas for the tacos are dipped in a red sauce. Very delicious. Chicken was well seasoned and tender. Loved the chorizo. Quesadillas are a must try. Good portions. I will definitely be back to try the asada. Overall, I had a good experience. Food was good and the service was outstanding. read more

BEST TACOS EVER. Can I say that? Yes, yes I can. I've had Eddy's tacos at MacLeod's Brewing Co several times on Wednesday nights and there are no other tacos like these. The tortillas are red with some magical homemade red sauce, and you get the option of carne asada, pollo, and chorizo. You can also get a quesadilla, mulita, or the Bomba Grande..... any way you go, you can't go wrong. They're all bursting with flavor and you can add mild, medium, or spicy sauce (which is admittedly super spicy). If you're ever in Norwalk, or at MacLeod's on Wednesday night, get these tacos and you'll be thanking and high-fiving me after one bite. read more

I'm always on the quest to find great taco's and it was only a matter of time before I discovered this place. Luckily I was looking for a Taco Tuesday spot and found this on Yelp! So this place is in a plaza and its behind the So Cal Pizza. I arrived to see a little stand with the owner grilling some chorizo on the grill and the smell filled up the whole parking lot. It made me even hungrier and more excited to try the food. I went the La Bomba Grande so I could get a little taste of everything and the owner asked if I was ok with him choosing the meats for me so I could get a taste of everything and I was perfectly fine with that. The tacos La Bomba Grande comes with 2 tacos / mulita / quesadilla. The food was amazing. He has this special red sauce ( ITS NOT GREASE ) that he dips the corn tortillas in before it goes on the grill and it adds so much flavor to the taco's and mulitas. I liked the carne asada the best, the chorizo was good but I thought maybe a tad bit salty for my taste but others might enjoy it more than I did. The chicken and al pastor was good but the carne asada was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The sauces - they have three sauces and they were all homemade and super flavorful. The spicy sauce has a little kick to it as well but nothing I couldn't handle! I'm all about supporting small local businesses so I definitely recommend everyone to come try this out on your next Taco Tuesday! You will not be disappointed. And dont forget its only open on TUESDAY. read more

The food was excellent. The price was okay. The service was social. Currently they pop up behind a Pizza place every Tuesday evening, but are in plans to start opening some Friday's as well. We came toward the end of the evening when the stand would be close to packing up. The asada must have been so fantastic that it ran out right before we arrived. We ordered 2 La Bomba Grande Meals for around I believe $10, but somehow ended up with 1 La Bomba Grande added chicken for $1 to the quesadilla and an extra Chicken Quesadilla. We ended up receiving half of a mostly chorizo/asada quesadilla to try! The meat was all so delicious, marinated/cooked to perfection, and the perfect temperatures the tacos were special because the corn tortillas were dipped in the special secret red sauce which gives the tacos + mulitas a special touch. The amount of cheese on the mulita + quesadilla was just right, while being melted to perfection! The mini salsa bar was great! There were 3 salsas: 1 red that was super delicious spicy, another a bit red/green with a medium/mild spice, + a non spicy tomatillo/tangy salsa. There was finely chopped cabbage, cilantro, and onions with some quarters limes to add to the deliciousness. They do not have any liquid on the menu so make sure to bring water! I say this is a great start up, hope to try it again, and recommend to a friend! read more

Hidden behind So Cal Pizza in Norwalk is this gem of a taco stand. Menu is typical with tacos, quesadillas and mulitas but it's the flavor that is unique. Tortillas are dipped in a red (secret) sauce prior to heating. The result is a red looking taco with a nice crust. Meats are very flavorful and condiment choices are plentiful. The one that blew me away was the minced cabbage. Never seen that as a taco topping but it absolutely works. Fortunately we happen to have been traveling on a Tuesday back home to Norcal and we were craving tacos and we found this place when we pulled up we had given up because we didn't see anything but I told my mom let's go around the building and fortunately it was behind the pizza building. The tacos are really bomb.com the tortilla is dipped in a red sauce the meet was super tender and they put a lot of cheese on the quesadillas, and the mullitas are super crispy. The customer service was awesome the sauces that they had for the tacos were good as well, they have a spicy sauce and mild sauce and not spicy at all sauce, they even have cabbage for the top of your tacos which is always a plus we tried one of everything with each type of meat and we loved it all. I'm really looking forward to going back when I'm in the SoCal area I can't wait till the guys get their food truck.
