In town for the night from So Cal, there wasn't much to choose from so I went with the place that I felt had the best and most honest reviews in yelp. This small place was amazing! I usually take pics of everything I eat but when my food came to the table it looked so good I just started eating . I ordered a beef tostada and a ceviche tostada, they were both crisp, flavorful and filling. My husband ordered tacos and he enjoyed every last bite. My sis had a lengua torta and that too was delicious, I was able to get a couple of bites in before it was all gone. The salsa that was recommended (best on birria) went great on everything we had, it did have a bit of a kick to it but nothing too hot to handle. We all agreed this food reminded us of trips to Mexico, fresh and authentic. Prices are reasonable and the staff was very friendly. If you're looking for something fancy this is not it, but if you want super yummy authentic grub I highly recommend this place. read more

If you're passing through town, PLEASE stop by here and get some food. Such an amazing experience. My coworker and I went in for some food after a long drive and one of the owners greeted us. We asked what was good and he went through all the options and told us his favorites and the ones that use grandma's recipe. We ended up getting quesadillas and tacos. When I tell you I almost melted off the booth when I bit into the quesadilla. It felt like we were invited into their house and were eating in their kitchen. I tried the extra spicy sauce and it is not for the faint of heart, but if you like spicy like me I'd highly recommend it. The experience has already been amazing, but the kicker was when the co-owner offered us a free soda AND a free tamale. We didn't bring up wanting extra stuff so it was such a touching surprise. A group of us stopped here on a summer day after hiking at Ancient Lakes. It's not on the main drag, so if one of the hikers hadn't lived nearby to know where Tacos Jalisco was, we wouldn't have known it was here. It's a butcher shop and taco shop and the horchata is delicious! We had tacos, burritos and one of us got a torta....all were cheap and tasty. This is one of those places that the locals say is authentic Mexican food some of which it is. As a native to Arizona let me tell you this is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Everything I tasted (pork and chicken tacos and verde burrito) lacked flavor. Even their salsa was completely bland. I'm praying they went back to Grandmother's recipes. I've been eating it for 10 years every time I visit that area and four days in a row every time but the burrito was changed. Seriously I just can't say enough about how important that burrito is or was to me. Kills me they changed it Me continuing to eat there is totally dependent on whether or not they went back to grandmother's recipes because everything was gold but last year I was informed she had retired and then they messed with the best food I've ever eaten in my life . in fact I didn't even finish my beloved burrito. Tacos Jalisco is as authentic as it gets. They just recently started accepting credit cards and speaking english there. I discovered it in high school and it's been a first stop when I come home ever since. The whole menu is pretty solid as long as you aren't expecting some fancy shmancy meal you would never actually find in Mexico. I always go for the carne asada tacos with cilantro, some salsa, and a cool glass of horchata (rice water) to wash it down. This place has been around almost my entire life. Same little old lady still takes your order. The food is great. The prices aren't too bad but best of all, it's really home made. Best Mexican food I have ever had. Their burritos are awesome and you can't go wrong with the salsa. If for some godforsaken reason you are passing through Quincy you owe it to yourself to go here. I unexpectedly ended up in Quincy, WA for some vehicle repairs after a little off-roading expedition in the Chevy. I noticed this place, since it was right down the block from the repair shop (Broz Auto). Decided to give it a try and we were so glad we did. This place was part store, part restaurant.
