The meals look amazing but we didn't try them as hubby and daughter had already eaten elsewhere. Hubby bought a chuck roast that I cooked tonight and it was super good!! Now the bad...the jerky is inedible, tooth breaking and incredibly dry. Waste of money, imho. I do not suggest the jerky. read more

Jakes Meats - Chuck pot roast i made from the chuck hubby bought. - Tacos Near Me - Quincy, Washington

Came here based on recommendation from other Yelpers. About 20 min from Sagecliffe Resorts. It's located inside a convenience store and has tables so you can eat there. The woman who took my order was the one who cooked my meal and you can tell she took pride and joy in her cooking. I ordered three tacos and asked what she recommended. Since it was my first time she asked if I would want to try the birria, pork, and carne asada. I agreed. When my meal was ready I took it to the table. First bite my eyes lit up. Legit tacos. Savory meat cooked to perfection. My favorites were the carne asada and the birria. A man came to check up on me and asked if I needed anything. Very nice. Absolutely loved the food here. I want to come back to try their breakfast burrito. read more

Seems like it's a very old building the tables in the back where you eat the food were dirty and had plates of old food on them. 1/2 the store seemed 1/2 empty shelves read more

We were starving after hiking Ancient Lakes and decided to stop by Jake's for lunch. We all ordered a few tacos - I specifically got pollo, adobada, and birria - and was so happy to have some delicious food. The staff is super nice and there are tables in the back where you can enjoy your food. Great price for great tacos! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

Tacos are DELICIOUS. The people working are always super nice! My favorite place to get tacos. Prices are good as well

I love coming here, I have lived in Quincy most my life but never really made the stop. I usually drive by a lot. I finally made a stop and ordered the Asada Burrito, it was perfect. I came back and tried the Birria Burrito and it was BOMB. Service was great, the employees are nice and chill which was perfect for me. They made our burritos quick and in a timely matter. Great little food stop tucked in the back left of a convenient store. I will be stopping here for years to come. read more

From appitizer to dessert with an over Cooked steak was mediocre, for the first time visit there and being a new establishment in town I'll wait awhile for them to dial it in and give them a second chance, and what variety does anyone no not to over coffee with at least 20 people drinking and eating in the bar/ Lounge area hmmm And I almost forgot about the food runner delivering my eating utensils and hold the prong side of the fork to place it on the table WHAT STANDARDS BIG HMMMMM read more

Amazing Señora (owner), who is an absolute professional when it comes to sausage making. The Hunters and German sausages are fantastic, but her Jalapeño sausage is a life changing experience. In addition, she makes an amazing Chorizo Seco, which is a dry cured product unlike most raw chorizos found in Mex Markets. I don't see it often, and I buy it immediately when I do. We stop here--without fail--every year, on the way back from the Special Olympics Winter games in Wenatchee in March. And every year she shakes her head at the sausage-crazy gringos when we drop big nickel for her delicious products. There is no Jake, by the way... read more

best jerky in the land, by far..I ride 300 miles roundtrip for the beef jerky and still never buy enough, great job and great food also

This place needs to be put on the map. Bomb breakfast burritos for only 2.50? How can you say no. They're not huge but a good size to get your day started without slowing you down. Nothing fancy, just eggs, onions and bacon. There may be a few more ingredients but it's definitely simple while being delicious. I'm also a big fan of their tacos, especially the adobada, lengua, birria and carne asada. Their lengua can be a little salty at times, just a heads up. I'm not from this area and was working here for a few months but I was surprised to find good, legit Mexican food. I grew up in Northern California and spent a significant time in Southern California too. I would think the closer you are to Mexican the better the food is but Quincy proved me wrong. If you're here for some concert at the gorge, definitely come through here for breakfast or lunch. Support this awesome family owned business! read more

The breakfast burrito was very good. The carnitas plate was good. The soft open taco was good too. The green salsa was very good. I give 4 star out of 5 stars is because the place is very run down. The ambient and atmosphere energy is kind of low and felt eating alone. Customer service was great too. read more

Went to Jake's Meats for... meat. They had 3 meat choices and the person working hardly knew what they were. The choices were "carna asada, pollo asada, and carna asada." No joke, They had no other meats to choose from! Also a friend of mine stopped there for prime rib during Christmas time and was told it was out of season. I cannot speak for the cafe side of the place and the breakfast burritos did look good. But for a place that advertises as a meat store, I was very disappointed. read more

Great carnitas street tacos and breakfast burritos. Jakes is friendly and all about the food. The kitchen is in the back corner of a mini market with about 6 tables. A must stop on any future trip to The Gorge. They were able to work with me to find a wheat (gluten) free option. read more

The best. Got the combo plate and everything was fresh, meat was cooked just right & washed down with a Mexican Coke. Staff super friendly. Watch that ditch when driving in with a fifth wheel. Go wide! read more

Best chorizo! Made in house with less fat and ALL the flavor! So glad we found this place. They had Cotija cheese as well. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but you walk out with the best food. I will try more varieties of meat next time but will stock up that great chorizo and cotija again. Can't wait! read more

Don't waist your time. They don't have fruit cups nor do they have hot food. We came for a burrito and everything is premaid and you can't customize an Ofer. It's a store not a place to get good food. read more
