Came here based on recommendation from other Yelpers. About 20 min from Sagecliffe Resorts. It's located inside a convenience store and has tables so you can eat there. The woman who took my order was the one who cooked my meal and you can tell she took pride and joy in her cooking. I ordered three tacos and asked what she recommended. Since it was my first time she asked if I would want to try the birria, pork, and carne asada. I agreed. When my meal was ready I took it to the table. First bite my eyes lit up. Legit tacos. Savory meat cooked to perfection. My favorites were the carne asada and the birria. A man came to check up on me and asked if I needed anything. Very nice. Absolutely loved the food here. We were starving after hiking Ancient Lakes and decided to stop by Jake's for lunch. We all ordered a few tacos - I specifically got pollo, adobada, and birria - and was so happy to have some delicious food. I love coming here, I have lived in Quincy most my life but never really made the stop. I usually drive by a lot. I finally made a stop and ordered the Asada Burrito, it was perfect. I came back and tried the Birria Burrito and it was BOMB. Service was great, the employees are nice and chill which was perfect for me. They made our burritos quick and in a timely matter. Amazing Señora (owner), who is an absolute professional when it comes to sausage making. The Hunters and German sausages are fantastic, but her Jalapeño sausage is a life changing experience. In addition, she makes an amazing Chorizo Seco, which is a dry cured product unlike most raw chorizos found in Mex Markets. I don't see it often, and I buy it immediately when I do. We stop here--without fail--every year, on the way back from the Special Olympics Winter games in Wenatchee in March. This place needs to be put on the map. Bomb breakfast burritos for only 2.50? How can you say no. They're not huge but a good size to get your day started without slowing you down. Nothing fancy, just eggs, onions and bacon. There may be a few more ingredients but it's definitely simple while being delicious. I'm also a big fan of their tacos, especially the adobada, lengua, birria and carne asada. Their lengua can be a little salty at times, just a heads up. I'm not from this area and was working here for a few months but I was surprised to find good, legit Mexican food. I grew up in Northern California and spent a significant time in Southern California too. I would think the closer you are to Mexican the better the food is but Quincy proved me wrong. If you're here for some concert at the gorge, definitely come through here for breakfast or lunch. Support this awesome family owned business! read more

The breakfast burrito was very good. The carnitas plate was good. The soft open taco was good too. The green salsa was very good. I give 4 star out of 5 stars is because the place is very run down. Went to Jake's Meats for... meat. They had 3 meat choices and the person working hardly knew what they were. The choices were "carna asada, pollo asada, and carna asada." No joke, They had no other meats to choose from! Also a friend of mine stopped there for prime rib during Christmas time and was told it was out of season. I cannot speak for the cafe side of the place and the breakfast burritos did look good. But for a place that advertises as a meat store, I was very disappointed. read more

Great carnitas street tacos and breakfast burritos. Jakes is friendly and all about the food. The kitchen is in the back corner of a mini market with about 6 tables. A must stop on any future trip to The Gorge. They were able to work with me to find a wheat (gluten) free option. read more

This is such a good place to stop on grab a quick bite to eat! We stopped here on our way to Spokane from Seattle and it's the perfect midpoint. Would highly recommend the breakfast burrito! Best chorizo! Made in house with less fat and ALL the flavor! So glad we found this place. They had Cotija cheese as well. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but you walk out with the best food. I will try more varieties of meat next time but will stock up that great chorizo and cotija again. Can't wait! read more

I've been coming there for over 30 years now.....several owners and the people now are as nice and pro as any before !! Their jerrky is maybe the very best I've ever had.
