¡Chente's Taquería Review!…read more Tacos El Gordo - Melissa, TX (Don't confuse this one with the McKinney location... this is the brand-new Melissa spot.) Chente's Gritos Rating Vibe: 5/5 Gritos The moment they saw Chente walk in, they started playing Vicente Fernández. That's how you set the mood! The place has a fun, welcoming atmosphere with TVs, a full bar, and plenty of seating. It's the kind of spot where you can hang out for a while instead of just eating and leaving. Location: 5/5 Gritos Right off Highway 75, next to H-E-B and across from Buc-ee's. Whether you're running errands, grabbing gas, or shopping, it's an easy stop to grab tacos and a drink. Service: 10/5 Gritos Yeah... I broke my own scale. The staff was awesome from the moment we walked in--friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to have us there. That's the kind of service that keeps people coming back. Food: 5/5 Gritos One detail I really appreciated was the tortillas. They're lightly run through oil, giving them just enough flavor while helping them hold up to all the salsa without falling apart. It's a small touch that makes every taco better. Price: 4/5 Gritos It might cost a little more than your neighborhood taquería, but you're paying for more than just tacos. You're getting a modern spot in a new shopping center with TVs, a full bar, soft-serve margaritas, and an atmosphere that's built for hanging out. If you're looking for just a quick taco, there are cheaper places. If you're looking for tacos and a good time, it's worth it. Overall: 5/5 Gritos From the tacos to the drinks, this place delivers. The soft-serve margaritas (mango, strawberry, or swirl) are worth trying, they've got caguamas and a full bar, and the whole place feels inviting. It's a spot I'd happily come back to. Gringo Translation: Think of it as your local taco spot mixed with your favorite sports bar. Great food, cold drinks, TVs everywhere, and a place you'll actually want to stick around after you finish eating. Chente's Final Verdict: "Si ponen a cantar a Vicente nomás de ver llegar a Chente... ya sabes que este lugar entiende la misión." 5 out of 5 Gritos. ¡Nos vemos, raza!
