My favorite is the Republican--the brisket! The queso is amazing. It's a premium taco place so expect premium pricing. Service in person is excellent and speedy. The inside was busy but there were still plenty of tables available. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. We ordered a number of items, starting with The Threesome. Amongst the 3 of us, we tried the Trailer Park, Democrat, Fried Avocado, Green Chile Pork, and the Tipsy Chick tacos. We also got a side of the Damn Good Tots. For dessert we ordered the Churros. Overall the food was all solid. My favorite bites were the Green Chile Queso in The Threesome, Green Chile Pork taco, and Damn Good Tots. Their queso is actually some of the best I've ever had - and I've tried many a queso. A few items felt a tad under-seasoned. The Trailer Park taco was definitely lacking something - maybe salt, or heat, or both? Multiple tacos would've benefitted from slightly more heat actually. I wish they had more sauce/salsa options so you could add more heat as desired. Maybe this was an option, but we didn't see it while ordering. The churros were good. The Dulce de Leche dipping sauce is the perfect compliment. Torchy's offers a different taco experience with plenty of unique offerings not found at other local Taco joints. It won't be for everyone, but it's definitely worth trying!

The pollo was my favorite: well seasoned, with a nice crust and char. The asada was okay but needed more seasoning and a char would have been nice. The pastor was a little goopy for my liking; some char would have really elevated it. The Sonoran taco, with asada, green chile, and cheese, was decent, but nothing out of this world. At $3.10 per taco, or $3.35 with grilled onions, the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly.
