3 steak tacos
Char T.

I ordered 3 steak tacos and was not disappointed. Great food, great price-point, and great service (:

I mean look at the packaging & the effort put into plating the food!!!

I don't EVER really leave reviews but this Man's food is so GOOD I HAD to! I'm a LA Native so good tasting authentic tacos are SO IMPORTANT to Me. 4 Asada Tacos with Cheese & a drink was $12. SO Affordable with the amount of food He gives You! But the effort He puts in the plating & packaging is AMAZING! I never have to ask for ANYTHING EVER! The extra sides & chips with no extra charge is God's work! AND Giving Me 2 types of Salsas to choose from?!? Like cmon not a lot of places do that & it's so appreciated & recognized. ALSO I don't ever really eat the pickled veggies BUT This Man has converted Me...LOL! SO YUMMY! The Owner is also SO Welcoming & Super Nice & Me being a Black Woman in Today's times, that means A LOT! His food has SOOOOO much flavor too! I hope & Pray His lines go around the corner one day. He deserves it. Mind You I have been here to order several times already & He NEVER disappoints. LOVE the consistency! Service is QUICK too even when He's SUPER Busy. I ALWAYS leave EXTREMELY Happy! I didn't take no pics of the outside but He's a cute Taco Truck on Venice Blvd near the parking lot with the Dental Office & O'Reily's Auto Shop. He has a few cute sitting eating areas outside of the Truck along side the wall on the sidewalk where Pedestrians are still able to pass by with ease. Maybe I will take a photo when I go back & update this review.

I like the fack that they are rated "A"
Fernando P.

The food portions were generous, the staff member was very kind and polite, and the prices were reasonable. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely return. The truck's "A" rating was also a significant plus.

So good and they hook up your plate with all the goodies, veggies, two salsas and chips! We got our order to go, they were quick and they wrapped it up so perfectly. Ordered the birria, asada, pollo, and carnita tacos and they're all so good! Will be coming back very soon my new taco spot

Tacos de asada, al pastor y buche
Adriana M.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Got one asada taco, an al pastor taco, and a buche taco. The food took a little longer than expected, but I noticed that it was only one guy manning the truck all by himself, so I didn't mind the wait. There is seating set up nearby if you aren't taking your food to go. Tacos came with a chile Serrano, plenty of pickles (the carrot coins were delicious), radish, cucumber, and even some tortilla chips. As for the tacos themselves: the asada was phenomenal! So tender and flavorful, no gristly pieces. Next time I will for sure be getting an asada burrito. The pastor was solid, as was the buche. But the asada was definitely the star! I didn't see carnitas on the menu, which is what I usually order. Washed it all down with my Jarritos and left with a happy, full stomach. Would stop here again for asada and good vibes.

4++ a small little truck/trailer that sets up in the heart of Mar Vista. Call a pretty extensive menu and a good variety of meats. There's also a few outdoor tables set up nearby so you can sit and eat. The food here is really good and the folks that you are ordering from our super nice and very helpful. I ordered a suadero mulita, birria tacos, and a vampiro. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I was pretty excited which led me to order probably too much food. When I finally got the plate, I was super excited. The presentation was great with all the extras like the pickled carrots and peppers along with the limes, etc. I always have a habit of ordering a Mexican Coke whenever I go to taco trucks as well. I seriously don't really drink soda except for the times I get tacos. I probably was only able to eat a third of it before I needed some wrap to take it to go. Part of the reason I chose this place because I was walking a dog and I wanted something where I can order easily and sit outside. This place was perfect. These are the type of places I love supporting because the folks are so great and the food was really good .

After hearing the buzz for way too long, I finally made my way over -- and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The menu is a carnivore's dream. We're talking carne asada, lengua, brisket, and a whole roster of meats that had me doing multiple laps before I could even commit to an order. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with that authentic flavor that's impossible to fake. And the prices? Completely reasonable. No sticker shock here -- just good tacos at a fair price, which is honestly rare these days. But here's the kicker: they're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Midnight taco craving? Covered. Post-concert hunger? Handled. Living in Hawaii, I'm constantly reminded that late-night taco options are tragically limited back home -- and Avenue 26 is the standard I didn't know I needed to set. Will I be back? Absolutely, without question, 100% yes.

First time for parking lot tacos for me!…read more I was feeling a bit peckish but didn't want to eat too much, so Yelpers, thank you for leading me here! I was able to snag two tacos for $4.50 that tided me over until dinner time. Now: bring your car because there's no place to sit! I arrived on foot, so dined standing up. Quite a variety of means - I'm a "safe" eater and enjoyed pollo and asada. I loved the self-serve salsas; the green salsa was delish and had a good little kick to it. Happy to have found this spot, and want to come back! 2026: 32/100

For for first timers, I'd recommend ordering the Villa's Trio which is what I got. Those come with the Ranchera Asada quesotaco as well as the Papas con Chorizo and Black Bean con Pollo quesotacos which are a trio exclusive. All the tacos were meaty, flavorful, and crispy. You honestly don't even need the side sauces since the tacos are already flavorful on their own. Great quality. I also got the Watermelon Agua Fresca which was refreshing, tasty, and sweet. Goes well with the tacos. I also got the Jamaica Agua Fresca, but that one was a bit too tart for my liking. The line can get long, so I would prepare to wait for up to an hour on weekends. There's ample free parking at the grocery store lot nearby. For seating and tables, it's limited and competitive. You just have to get lucky if a spot clears up as soon as you get your food. I also like how the restaurant handles crowd control. They allow a couple of people at a time to go inside, order, and get their condiments. You wait outside until they call you for your food. I like that it didn't feel crowded while I was getting my condiments. I highly recommend this spot and I will definitely be coming back.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We only got the carne asada and the al pastor but it was so good we went back in line for seconds. The meat was very flavorful - the carne asada was thin but still very tender. The al pastor, I think uses a fattier cut than some other places but keeps it from drying out. The tacos were leaking meat juices still. The surrounding streets are quite dark at night but the parking lot the stand is in, is well lit and there is a covered seating area. We went on Thanksgiving weekend and there were maybe always 15-20 ppl in line at any given time. I imagine there are longer lines in the summer.

We've been to the downtown location before and the menu was a little different from what I remember. Hard to find parking sometimes. Only counter seating inside with about six tables outside. Wanted to snack on chips while we waited and there are only two sizes: small which is a bag you would put a sandwich and chips in like when you were a kid taking lunch to school, and a large which was a big bag that you would buy like a part size Doritos with the labels and all. Note to the non-spicy fam: the green salsa is mild with a little heat but the red is definitely spicy so watch out. They don't have pico de gallo. We had an asada burrito which was surprisingly packed and even had guacamole in it. Appropriately sized for lunch so not some monstrosity but it's good and flavorful. We also got an asada quesadilla. It's ok but the cheese is just melted and everything was kind of "wet" still and hard to eat because it just falls apart. Also had an asada taco. Yeah it's good but can't really describe if it was much better than a taco truck. No fountain drinks but got a Jamaica agua Fresca and really felt it was too sweet. Probably just go with a Mexican coke or canned soda next time. Sonoratown is good and worth a trip back as well. They won't compete against taco trucks but sometimes it's nice to just sit down and relax with good food.
