Since my last review, they added new signage to the exterior and have reopened. Staff and flavors have changed. The menu has changed a bit as well. Stuffed papusas and tamales are prominently displayed.
The lunch specials are replaced with combination plate specials. The inflation costs are duly noted. Some combo plates are $14-17 yikes.
I have added photos of chilaquiles and the burrito plate served with rice, beans and a can of soda. Chilaquiles comes with one protein. Additional is at an extra charge and since their employees don't speak English as a first language, it was hard working with Google translate to figure out my order on top of explaining how I wanted my eggs. See photos. The chorizo was pan fried in hell. I had asked they make the eggs over easy, because everyone knows yolk is yum in chilaquiles. The cook told me in Español he usually cooks eggs, fried hard. It's curious, I have had chilaquiles from this restaurant before and they were able to prepare it runny, no questions. I don't know what happened. Something is lost in translation.
All in all didn't love anything much. Also ordered a jalapenos & cheese papusa.. It was just okay. The burrito ordered was supposed to have Al pastor. The beans and rice inside the burrito overtake any other flavors.
For me, it's not as good as it used to be before their hiatus. I may try them again six months or a year from now. read more
