This place is hard to find. It's nestled behind the laundromat, next to the car wash…read more We felt awkward walking in and the few people there just stared us down. It is small inside. We decided to sit at a table to review the menu before stepping to the counter to order. The people sitting around, got up, and went behind the counter. They were the workers. We felt like they were not happy we were there. We ordered a brisket sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich and the apple cobble ala mode. The food came out pretty fast. Nothing fancy. There was a good ratio of meat to the bun but the bun doesn't hold up to the sauce and meat. The meat was dry for our liking but we just do dumped more warm delicious bbq sauce on it. The cobble was more like an apple spice cake. It is served in a styrofoam bowl with a single serve ice cream cup and a couple spoons. Presentation was terrible but it was so yummy. We would probably eat here again if we ever end up in St Anthony again because it beat the other options. Be aware of the hours. Maybe call ahead and make sure they're open. If the weather permits, there is outside seating.

Had a very enjoyable experience with great food and a relaxing atmosphere. I had the brisket plate…read more, the brisket was very moist and tasted great . Also ordered a side order of the pork belly bites and it was the perfect blend of meat to fat . Would definitely come here again if I am back in town.

First time in and they just opened up. Staff was new...obviously…read more Overall the staff is super friendly, but didn't know the food or menu items. Placed our order and then a long line formed behind us. It's close to the HS so lots of customer potential. For my Texican taco, I was not impressed. The beef was dry and no seasoning. The Rusty was decent and spicy. My wife's Baja bowl was small compared to the website. Flavor was fine but the portion was small compared to the price. I don't like leaving a review on my first visit unless it's really bad. They didn't have this new location posted yet so I added it.

I've been here a few times now and tried something different each time so I think I can give a fair…read moreassessment of what I've seen so far: The good: flavor. I've only come across one item that I was kind of so-so on but since I personally don't have a ton of experience with chorizo, I'm chalking that up to possibly just not liking chorizo that much. The neutral: size/price ratio. The prices aren't bad but aren't great either when compared to "the big boys," and that's OK. You're definitely getting the most bang for your buck if you order the dinner combo but generally speaking Rusty's seems less about trying to appeal to your sense of "more is better" that most fast-food places do and more about pricing at a rate that's affordable for their bottom line and still appealing for customers. The bad: advertisement vs reality. So, I understand, as we all do, "pre cook weight vs serve weight," "presentation photos," stuff like that. We've all been exposed to it our entire lives, but it's still a real kick in the teeth when you go to a place and the ingredient list for the taco you purchased says "avocado" and the taco picture shows avocado slices, and the pictures shared by the business of the taco shows slices, and then you get the taco and instead it's a small ball of green mush on one side of the taco and you now have to spread it across the taco, but they've given you no utensils because you bought a taco and you're now in a place with no utensils where you intend to eat said taco. Now you're either running your finger through your avocado paste or eating a glob of avocado paste in one bite at the beginning or end. This last bit was the only thing keeping this review from a 4 star. If Rusty Taco were just honest about the use of avocado mash and spread it instead of dropping on one side with no warning, I wouldn't be bothered by it because it's not about a taste or texture difference, it's about an expectation that was set then changed which forces a change of plans on the customer. A side note: Rusty Taco is really inconsistent on their app about calorie counts for items. As much as I hate to be one of those people, I've recently had to become much more aware of my calorie intake so the lack of calorie count one some items turns me away from trying some of the things on their menu I would like to so if anyone from Rusty reads these, I would love to see more complete information on your ordering app.
