    Pastor taco bowl
    Andrea M.

I have been to Tacos and Tarros twice in the last week. The second time I brought a small group. This is by far my favorite taco+ restaurant in Nogales. Good selection of beverages. I have tried the pastor taco bowl, supreme burrito, tacos and beans. The taco bowl is decent size and has a significant amount of romaine lettuce under the beans, meat and rice. The burrito is loaded with meat etc. The tacos are heaping with meat. Oh, and did I mention the awesome toppings bar with lots of stuff to add to your food, and many salsa options. I love the atmosphere of this place. Nice Mexican music too. The staff who I have encountered have limited English but their personalities makes it fun to try my poor Spanish. The service is excellent.

Al Pastor taco with extra pineapple. Absolutely delicious!!!!!

The Al Pastor tacos are the best we have ever had. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was welcoming and authentically Mexican. We come here from Tucson and visit as often as we can during our stay in Nogales.

Stopped in for lunch with co-workers. Had two asada caramello one flour and one corn. They were very good. But the rockstar of the food was the roasted peppers from the salsa bar. They had some sort of brine and OMG they were so good! Not too spicy hot just the right amount and the flavor is WOW. The tables were clean and the service was quick. Will definitely stop in again if I'm down that way.

Second time coming and the food was better than our experience last time. There was no live music so we could actually talk and enjoy. The salsa bar is great and I like that they have salsas and pickled veggies. Waitress was nice.

First timer! I absolutely loved the patio and the staff is so nice! They had live music playing as well. I ordered the pastor tacos which were super delicious! I dressed them with salsa and pico de gallo from their salsa bar! The House Margarita was also yummy! 5 stars!

Great food! Waiter was very busy and we really appreciate his attentiveness. Patio ambiance is nice! LOTS of options at the salsa bar- we added fresh veggies and salsas to our meal. Yummy!

    Buffalo chicken quesadilla

I come to Nogales for tacos all the time and I heard good things about this place. I did a to go order and I was not impressed. I had three tacos (carne asada, pork pastor, pollo asado) and the meat was very dry. The pork one came with pineapple and had a good interesting taste. I also had the buffalo chicken quesadilla. I expected the buffalo chicken to be inside of the quesadilla, but instead they threw the chicken in the container next to the quesadilla (see picture). Also they poured ranch dressing on top of the quesadilla and it was soggy by the time I got home. I would have preferred them to put the ranch dressing on the side. They have a bar and patio and inside seating

    Beef ribs...$19.99. Amazing

Fantastic bang for your buck! Have had both the steak arracherra and tonight the beef ribs. Both dishes were delicious and they were both giant servings...for very reasonable prices. T&T are more known for their tacos but frankly, these dishes both stood out. Full bar selection, outdoor seating and a drive through! To be honest, didn't think T&T would be anything special but they really impressed in both my visits. Solid bar/grill if your in Nogales, AZ. Highly recommend!

Food was great. Micheladas were also delicious. Recommend if I'm the Nogales area. Saw this place o. Yelp and thought I'd give it a chance and it was worth it.

I've been going there for about 10 years, and without fail, their seafood is always consistently delicious. Although most of the locals are probably very aware of this small yet mighty restaurant, it's tucked away in an unassuming location - it doesn't look like much from the outside, but as they say, "Don't judge a book by its cover." I always order the large ceviche, which comes with tostadas, and I also get a side of warm tortillas. When I get that large bowl in front of me, I just can't wait to dig in. But first, I absolutely must put a couple of drizzles of their out-of-this-world made-in-house tamarind hot sauce on top of each bite. I can't begin to describe how amazing this sauce is - just a little sweet, but hot enough to burn your face off. What makes it amazing is it's flavor is so unique and complex. One time I visited, and I saw that there wasn't any hot sauce on the table. I asked the server and he said that they were in the middle of making a new batch. After telling him that I came all the way from Florida for their sauce (and ceviche, of course), the owner came by and sold me a couple of jars of the deliciousness. We had a great conversation about their food, their hot sauce, and how much love they put into their 30 year plus establishment. Back to the food - the shrimp in the ceviche is perfectly bite-sized and always tender, in perfect proportion to all of the other ingredients. The liquid is delicious enough to slurp up at the end of the bowl. I also started ordering the fried shrimp tacos the last few times I went to La Ley. A small plate comes with a simple warm tortilla and perfectly breaded fried 2-3 pieces of shrimp. Their sauces and toppings bar has everything you need to complete the taco - pickled onions, cilantro, tomatoes, onion, etc. With some of their creamy sauce and more of the tamarind hot sauce, each bite is a moment in heaven. Like the ceviche, the shrimp is tender, the breading is fluffy, not oily, and when you put together spicy, creamy, salty, sweet, and sour, you've got one of the most satisfying dishes I can think of. Clearly, I love this place. As I sit here writing this over a thousand miles away (having just visited), I wish I was back in Nogales to visit La Ley.

Their aguas frescas were the highlight for me so fresh and flavorful. I ordered the watermelon with extra ice and it genuinely tasted like it had just been made. Absolutely delicious. For food, we kept it simple and ordered variations of their carne asada tacos. We tried the caramelo (with cheese), a mixed one with tripe and carne asada, and the standard carne asada tacos. They were decent, but the carne asada itself didn't quite have that grilled flavor we were expecting; it tasted more like it was cooked on a pan. Not bad by any means, just different from what we had hoped for. They do have a large menu with plenty of other options such as tortas, hot dogs, and more, so there's definitely something for everyone. We didn't get a chance to try anything beyond the tacos this time, so we may need to come back and explore more.

Walking in honestly feels like stepping into a hacienda. There's a gorgeous fountain in the center and a mix of seating areas - some more loungy if you're just having drinks, others perfect for coffee or a full breakfast. They are dog-friendly in the outdoor areas (I had mine in a stroller), and the staff could not have been more accommodating - they even helped me carry her up the stairs. Service overall was amazing. We had multiple servers checking on us, which just shows how well staffed and attentive they are, especially since it was pretty busy with the buffet crowd. We heard their buffet is really good, but we weren't quite that hungry, so we ordered off the menu. I got the huevos rancheros, and I'm not kidding - the beans alone made the whole trip worth it. I don't know what they're doing back there, but they need to keep doing it. The eggs and red sauce were also so good. My girlfriend got the chiles rellenos, and just watching her cut into them with that perfect cheese pull told me everything I needed to know - she confirmed they were delicious. The decor is beautiful and full of Mexican culture, the space feels really inviting, and overall it was just such a great experience.
