The ordering process was easy enough, but the next part was a little confusing. The clerk at the cash register mentioned that to wait and we'd be called when the order was ready. However, I was trying to figure out how I'd get my salad when I had the choice of salad bar items. My husband suggested I go up to the counter and show my ticket. The clerk from the cash register asked me if I wanted to get my salad and I said yes. She then asked me if I wanted romaine or spring mix. I opted for the spring mix and then commenced with my food options from the salad bar. Once I had finished with the salad, I then joined my husband in waiting for his wrap. There was a large party in front of us that we didn't realize we were waiting on for them to get their food first. I'd say in total we waited about 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and the staff were busy with ensuring that everything was fresh for the salad bar as well as cleaning up and stocking items (straws, napkins, etc.). They definitely were of the mind of keeping busy and not standing around idle. Once order was in hand, we took it back to the hotel and ate there. My salad was very good and my husband's wrap was also very filling and tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to this place in the future. The food is good and high quality. Just wish we had something like this back in Whittier, I think it'd be very popular.

I find border towns fascinating and I like Nogales because it feels and looks like Mexico…read more However, it isn't the bustling border town it once was. It's a sleepy place these days and yet, for me, there is an indescribable charm. Although their website lists an East Patagonia Highway address, the restaurant is at 29 North Morley Avenue. It practically hugs the border crossing into Mexico. Yes, really close. You can't miss The Higos Coffee And Chilorios because the windows are crammed with a list and photos of the food it serves. It's a less than subtle hint saying, please eat here! You should. I was the only person in the restaurant. That's unfortunate because the huevos rancheros, coffee, and chips were all very good and simply satisfying. If they had given me a megaphone, I could have been tempted to stand outside and testify. It's worth the hour drive from Tucson and I'll be back.

Our waiter, Jesus, was awesome - friendly, attentive, and really helpful with the menu. We ordered the quesabirrias and... wow. They do them a little differently - kind of like a layered quesadilla folded taco-style - and the flavor was seriously on point. Paired it with their micheladas, which were just as good. They've got a huge menu with plenty of options, but honestly, I'd go back just for that combo again. Only regret is I ate it too fast to get a picture . Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Most of the menu items are Tex-Mex but there are also burgers, ribs and wings. There were only two vegetarian options: a veggie burrito and fried cauliflower "wings". I was curious about the cauliflower "wings" so I ordered that. I was expecting the cauliflower to be fried or look like wings. However, the cauliflower was just baked and barely cooked. It was served with dipping options, celery and carrots. I ate the cauliflower but I was disappointed in the dish. I could easily have made this at home. The agua fresca jamaica drink made from hibiscus flowers was good.

Do not look and trust the average stars for this place. It truly deserves 5 stars…read more I was in the area chasing monsoon storms and stumbled upon this place. The place was very clean, with great ambiance. There was lots of parking. The service was amazing, every staff was very nice and they were very kind to seat us even though they were 30 minutes from closing. I ordered the seafood cioppino (they have options for white wine or red wine sauce). The flavor was super well balanced, the seafood was plentiful and perfectly cooked and very fresh. The quality was very high. It also came with a minestrone soup that was chock full of vegetables in a savory tomato broth. Prices were very good, this seafood pasta was about 28 dollars and it could easily feed two, and again it was chock full of high quality fresh seafood. My friend got the kids pepperoni pizza because he wasn't very hungry and it was huge still, can't imagine what the regular size would be. This place definitely deserves a stop. I will for sure be returning if I'm ever in the area.
