Our food was fresh and delicious! We enjoyed fresh guacamole and their delicious salsa as well as their shredded beef enchiladas with red sauce and beef and chicken flautas. Our servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was charming and fitting for this historic area. We would eat here again. read more

Great little mom and pop restaurant. We ordered the taco plate with 3 tacos dorados and the enchilada/taco plate. All the food was delicious and tasty. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Sadly we were too full for the flan being offered, but would definitely like to try it the next time we're in town. read more

This 5-star review is relative to the location and the type of restaurant. My experience dining at La Cabaña was great. The service was excellent and so was the food. Every item I tasted was good. I came hungry for good Mexican food and I found it. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Old school Sonoran Mexican food with friendly service. Hubby had eggs with chorizo and it was tasty. It came with super yummy flour tortillas (made in house?). My gorditas were okay. They were doughy and dry, but the beef topping and the rice and beans were great. read more

Day trip in Nogales! Came here because of the reviews - food did not disappoint! We got the burrito, tamale, and enchilada combo and our 2 year old got the quesadilla. They were so accommodating and loved the kids. Service was amazing. Authentic Mexican cuisine! read more

Their food was delicious. The Red Chili was amazing. I really enjoyed my dinner. I highly recommend it. We will definitely will return. Our waiter was an older gentleman and he was very professional and very friendly. Very reasonable prices. Thank you. read more

I wasn't impressed. Food was very bland. The chips were round Tostitos straight out of the bag. Took the waitress FOREVER to check on the table to see if we were ready for the check or needed any Togo boxes, we eventually flagged her down for her to come over so we can get the check. Not once did she come and even see if everything was okay after giving us our food. The salsa was the only thing I was impressed with, it tasted very fresh. read more

Some of the best authentic Mexican food in Nogales and better than the other Mexican restaurants we've tried. The enchiladas and chile rellenos are just like homemade. read more

Tortillas and beans were good. Eggs are good meat was a little tough but is as expected small Mexican style authentic.

Authentic Mexican food! Killer salsa (ask for the hot salsa) and guacamole. Will definitely go back. read more

This is a small restaurant that packs a great tasting menu! The food is identical to home made meals. They use fresh ingredients, and add just the right touch to their dishes. It's definitely worth to stop and have a good meal. read more

We went to La Cabana for lunch a week ago. All I can say is, don't go there. The place is so dark and not kept up. The table was sticky and it was too dark to see, so I sat with my hands in my lap. The menu's were filthy. The man waiting on us was nice, but that was the only good thing about the place. The food was not good, and we all felt ill when we left, swearing to never go back. I only had lentil soup because I felt that should be safe, and it was steaming hot, with maybe a tablespoon of lentils and watery broth with cut up bell peppers. It was not good. So amazing that they can afford to stay open at all. It was really bad. :( read more

Can't say enough about how awesome these guys are! Strolled in at 10:30 pm. Kitchen totally closed, initially the doorman pointed me to Jack in the Box, but he said hang on, the manager came out and they decided to cook something especially for me! That is HUGE!! I ended up ordering the #29. A Chile relleno, taco and tamale I think. The Chile relleno was very good. The rice was tasty, the beans fantastic! The taco was especially good. It reminded me of my mom's tacos; they were crispy, and super tasty. Overall the experience was surreal. It was late, I completely enjoyed the Spanish karaoke! So so wonderful! I treated my message just like a test from home, I loved every bite and didn't ask for anything special since they totally made an exception to serve me.... I don't think I can express fully how wonderful these folks are! read more

La Cabaña Restaurant - Super delicious combination number 19! - Mexican Near Me - Nogales, Arizona

Feels like your in your kitchen in The twin your parents grew up where your grandmother cooks for you. The decor is weak and fall apart but it still passes to give it a chill vibe. The chairs are interesting. They have wheels. U move and they slide to much. But comfortable. The food was pretty darn good. On a Sunday afternoon the place was calm which means we got our food quick. The salsa was delicious. Not to pasty not to bland. Ok no food critic, this is all my opinion. The service was calm. Looks like it's just family operating it. Overall it was a good place after getting here from California. read more

For being 5 miles from the Mexican border and every employee is hispanic this is very mediocre newish food. Carne Asada taco was good. Chicken enchilada Meh! The enchilada sauce & salsa tasted like it was out of a can. But, the topper was the chips! Tostitos straight outta the bag REALLY? read more

Very authentic mexican food. Amazing hot salsa. Not much to say about the interior but the food was pretty good.

Food is authentic, homemade Mexican food. Bottomless chips and salsa with your meal. Service is personal. Mom and pop local business with a hardworking family running it. Dad and son made tables themselves, a great touch. read more

Great environment with good service, margaritas , beer and authentic food that is splendid. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic experience near the border. read more

Really tasty food! Best chimichangas I have EVER had -- light and flakey, and smaller (so you get 2 of them), excellent beans too. Very friendly service. As many reviews have said, the rolling chairs on the saltillo tile floors leave something to be desired :-) but no hardship there, just a bit humorous (and a sign that they'd rather focus on serving excellent food for low price, than spending a few grand replacing the chairs) I come back very often and do does my son. read more

La Cabaña is a nice place to eat. The food is good. I started going there since March 2018. Last time I went there was in July 2018. I went with family. One of my kids asked for a burrito. The first bite took my kid to the restroom to vomit. I smelled the burrito and it smelled like "poop". Of course, my kid told me it tasted like that. Never in my life had I smelled something like that in food. I told the lady and she said it was fresh meat. Why would a customer lie? We left and haven't been back. We will NEVER be back. Advise for this restaurant, don't use rotten meat, you'll loose customers like you lost us and who knows who else. Not everyone has access to this. read more

We took a chance on this hole in the wall place. It's definitely not the prettiest place, but the food and the nice gentleman who took care of us were wonderful. I recommend giving this place a try if you are willing to give it a chance. Your taste buds will not be disappointed. read more

The restaurant is in need of cosmetic repair and upkeep. Definitely not the nicest restaurant. But the food is not bad, but it's also not great. Food is good. I ordered the cheese enchiladas dinner plate with a beer. The price is fair and not expensive at all. I don't think I will return again. I think the biggest issue for me is the poor appearance of the restaurant. read more

Many locals of Nogales eat here, and it is an ancient cantina. Be careful because the chairs wobble and the table legs can be uneven. The salsa is excellent and very addicting with dashes of jalapenos and almost a watermelon like flavor. The food is fairly inexpensive - $1.75 for shrimp or fish tacos. $5.50 for a chimichanga platter. The chimichangas are fried and nothing like the American chalupa. The food is good - you get a full plate of food on your plastic platter, but the food is not greasy. Definitely worth the stop. read more

I was unimpressed by La Cabana. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is pleasant. However the food needs some help. From the cold chips and bland salsa, to the boring tacos and flavorless rice; there is better food in Nogales. I'd recommend El Zarape, or Las Vigas, instead. read more

Please don't eat here! I ordered a Chimi that was supposed to come with sour cream. Maybe they were out, but it came with a big dollop of mayonaise instead. It didn't appear too clean either. Wouldn't have stayed except a friend brought us here. Next day my partner was sick. She blames it on the food at La Cabana. read more

La Cabana is one of my very favorite restaurants! We live about an hour away but go here a few times a year. The food is excellent, not too bland and not too spicy. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. The atmosphere is nice with wooden tables and Mexican high, ladder back, carved, chairs. They also have an outside patio to eat on. Service is good too. I'm on a gluten free diet and have some chemical sensitivities so I have to be careful what I eat, but I can eat here and not have any problems. Our whole family, kids and grandkids, have eaten here with us and they all enjoyed it and have returned several times over the years. read more
