When I took it to CARS for a 2nd opinion, they let me know it wouldn't be worth fixing without charging me a cent, which I greatly appreciated. I am from Duluth Mn. Do not buy tires from this company if you want a warranty on them. I bought…read moretires from them and noticed the tread was wearing out faster than expected so i went to them and asked them to warranty them. They said they did not write the mileage on the receipt so could not warranty them. I explained that it is not my fault and they said they just started to put mileage on receipts last year. I said this is not right, how many warranties have ya dishonored because of this suspicious practice. All they would say is we can't help you.

Another obscure review, but one that is deserving of every star I am giving!…read more A few years back I got 2 new tires at Tires Plus in New Hope, after getting a flat on 169. I declined to buy insurance on them because (as I thought) how likely was I to get another flat soon? Wrong. 2 weeks later--yes, only TWO weeks--I was up visiting a friend in Duluth when I realized something was wrong with my car...it was making a terrible noise, and I soon came to the conclusion my tire was leaking air. Thankfully, my friend Reed was with me, so we were able to pull over, put on a spare, and drive carefully to the nearest tire store--which happened to be another Tires Plus. The mechanics there were extremely friendly and not only did they replace my tire quickly, they charged me nothing(!!) Even if I had not purchased road hazard insurance, they were kind enough to replace my tire free of charge. Now if that doesn't deserve 5 stars, I don't know what does. Excellent customer service, guys!

CV joint went out away from home on a Sunday morning. Pro: Tires Plus is the only place open so…read moreit's my only hope of getting it fixed. Luckily they had a guy wh could do it and they could get the transaxle. So I was happy that I got my car done and back home without a hassle. Con: The tech claimed one of my lug nuts got cross threaded when he was removing a wheel for inspection and he had to break the stud off. Not sure how that happened having removed probably 500 wheels myself and never done that, but whatever, I said fix it. Now if you're already dropping the knuckle to replace the transaxle it should take about two minutes to replace this $5 stud. They charged me over $250 for the stud replacement! Also I had a TPMS sensor out and I said they could replace it, since I was happy they were solving my problem. Little did I know they would charge me $175 for that. My regular mechanic charges $60. Also, the transaxle labor seemed pretty high for what the job entails. Bottom line: I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth and no trust, even though they bailed me out of a jam. Will only go back in an emergency.
