My car started running funny and I was concerned about even trying to drive home. I saw the good reviews, and called ahead and begged them to just take a quick look at my car and they were kind enough to do it. Mike was super friendly and kind and he took a look at my engine check the transmission fluid ran a scan on the engine and found two ignition coils misfiring. He opened up the cap and there were two dead mice in there. He found the problem in less than 10 minutes. Results may vary! Lol! They could have easily replaced much more and I would not have known that the repairs were not Needed or charged more for what they did do. We took our car in today to have a flat fixed only to be told that Pro Tire does not honor Curtis Oil's warranties. How disappointing is this!! Apparently there is no "Pro" in Pro Tires image.

I called around and none of the dealerships nearby could fit me in the next day; Jake's was able to accommodate me in the morning. A technician ran the diagnosis and said the part wasn't available at the shop so he'd have to order it/have it dropped off in a few hours. I was leaving Duluth the next day and asked if it was safe to drive and get it fixed back in my hometown. He said it wouldn't be a problem and said there was no charge for the diagnosis. I was floored. This never happens at a car repair shop - I fully expected a fee and was willing to pay it. This gesture carries so much weight in customer loyalty/satisfaction - I'm very grateful for the service Jake's provided and won't forget this level of hospitality.
