sorry for the delay. life gets in the way. like i said before we believe in customer loyalty. frank responded to our concerns by informing us of what was going on i the office. we felt in good hands as he guided us through options for a new heat pump system. old hvac was 15+ yrs. explained we could upgrade n not change ducting. 2024 tricky at first was a very humid summer but system did its job they adjusted fan speed to get rid of humidity. winter system overheated at first but balanced itself. winter 2025 system worked fine down to 29*f. since they fixed app to show outside temp learned how to get the most out of system. when temp and dew point are near freezing if humidity is above 70*. system will defrost more often. so use home heating. thanks for help frank read more

I would not use this company if you expect to get any returned calls- I had them install 2 new thermostats. When they first installed them it was done incorrectly and the temperature soared. They did come back and fix it- I've been trying to get them to return my calls to explain the warranty which they said they would give me - I also thought I would use them for maintenance but since they have not returned any calls I worry that if I had an emergency they would return my calls. If you want a company that will return calls then do not use them. I would give them a negative rating, too, if I could. read more

If i could give them a negative rating i would. Came by to repair system. Tech told me what needed repair. Sec said could not get estimate till tech handed in work order. Two days ĺater called again sec said could not get estimate untill parts became available. Called again over the weekend was told to leave message. This sucks. Customer service sucks. Over the years made request to get pricing on upgrading told to leave message. I like to be a loyal customers. All service checks done yearly with taconic. Should be treated better. read more

I really do not like to give a 1 star because I have them for years and they have been responsive. However, this time it has be awful. Frank, I hope you read this. As the Business Manager do you realize what is happening. Taconic came and serviced my AC July 13th. Installed a transformer and gave it a tune up. Still not running. Stated I needed a new Control board, fine. I have reached out to you via phone call at least 6 times since then. NO response. Left 2 messages on Chris's voice mail. No response. I do not know where I stand with this part, or the cost, or when it can be installed. I even stopped by the office twice with the hope of speaking with someone who can help. No one was available. I called Taconic after a very long 2 years dealing with the company that installed my Carrier air condition and gas furnace. The company that installed my system was a local company but I realized that they didn't have the slightest interest in getting it to work properly. Many issues with the furnace went uncorrected to this date. Fast forward 2 years and a lot of grief, emails that weren't returned and phone calls that weren't answered. I called Taconic and spoke to Linda who was very friendly and made you feel like you knew her for years. She dispatched Omar the next day who was an "outstanding tech" who left no stone unturned and found the problem with my furnace. My greatest admiration goes to this company and above all Omar who is a credit to his company for not only finding the problem, but in the way he worked explaining everything he was doing as he was doing it. We have used Taconic for our hvac needs for many years. In June we purchased two new units for our home. Unfortunately delivery was delayed for a long time due to Covid. the only good part about this company were the installers. The gentleman who installed my system had to take the oil line apart which was fine. However, when they put it back together, it was leaking. The install manager said they would fix it right away. Yeah.... its been almost a year and they still haven't fixed it completely. I'm on the phone 3 tines a week trying to get someone to my house to fix it correctly. Oh, and the best part! They have come out to my house 6 times to "fix" it. It still leaks. Everytime, "oh. I have to get a part...." they don't show up again for another couple of months. The service manager Chris has no idea what he's doing! Everytime I talk to him all I hear on the phone is "uhhhhhh, I don't know uhhhhh." DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

My heat was only sporadically working this morning so called Taconic Heating and Cooling. I've used in the past to handle my heating system and don't recall ever having a problem, but it had been 2-years since their last visit. Serviceman diagnosed and quickly made adjustments to my system and did so at fair a rate. Could have totally taken advantage of the situation (based on what it was: settings), but called his manager to confirm the next step, and did so accordingly. Called at 8am (non-emergency) and the serviceman arrived about 4-hrs. later. read more

We called on Taconic as we needed to purge our system. They had quoted us a reasonable $135 diagnosis and visit fee, plus parts. It turned out that they wanted to charge us $360 for a water expansion tank which retails for $30 to $50 at Home Depot!! I don't like feeling I am being taken advantage of. read more

Taconic Heating and Cooling came to repair my Ductless AC iJuly 24,2018. The repair man never did get it to blow cold air but gave me many excuses but excuses doesn't get it working. Very poor service and work, Do not recommend. Almost $300 out the window. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY HEATING PROBLEMS! They are so scattered, disorganized and DO NOT INFORM THE CUSTOMER of what they are doing to solve the heating problem or of the cost. The technician left our house not knowing when he could get the part or how much it would cost. We tried contacting the service manager Chris who told us he was leaving for the day and would research in the morning. We asked for him to research before he left. He then told us he found the part, no price or date when he would receive the part. We tried many times to reach him but were told he was out of the building or that he was on the 3rd floor. Then we found the part at a local plumbing supply, all the while not hearing back from Chris, the service manager. The woman answering the phone then told us a price of $300 plus for the labor to install the part. We had been told by Chris the night before that the only charges we would have beyond the $135 service call was for parts. I asked for the owners name and contact and was told that they can only email him and it takes a long time for him to respond. BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS ARE COMPLETELY LACKING, TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! read more

Today Taconic Heating & Cooling Corp came to evaluate a problem I was having with my central air conditioning unit for the second floor of my house. Taconic was the third company I called. The prior two told me my unit was shot and I needed to replace the entire thing for a cost of about five to six thousand dollars at a minimum. Carmine, from Taconic, determined the one part that needed replacement to get the unit back on and functional. I spent well under $500 for repairs. Needless to say, Taconic is the company I will use for all heating and cooling problems, maintenance, etc. Carmine is excellent - and most important to me, he is HONEST. read more
