I LOVE TacoDeli, but this location isn't as well run as the others. If you are in Plano and want TacoDeli, go to the Parkwood location. Tried them today. Overall the food is really disappointing. The chicken was dry and over cooked. The pork was as well. Both tacos are really really small for nearly 4 bucks a piece. They clearly try to showcase the meat as veggies are nearly invisible in these tacos, but with the meat being as it was, its a failure. 2 dollars for two quarter cups of rice and beans is a bit ridiculous as well. Went today at lunch time planning to order breakfast tacos and we were sad to learn they stop selling those at 11:00 am. I decided to get a shrimp taco that was horrible. One bite and I was done with it. We also got the carne asada taco and a Mexico City grilled chicken and both were very good. The queso was good but very thin and runny. Had takeout lunch from the newest place near our home, and have to say that it was really tasty. I wish there a few more drink options (I try to like Maine Root, but just not my thing), but the tacos were interesting and lots of different choices. I had the Cowboy (full of steak and a little heat) and the Shrimp Taco (three large shrimp and lots of onions and peppers) and shared some queso with my significant other. We both really enjoyed the meal and was very filling lunch. I love breakfast tacos, so I know where I need to now go and try those next week. Would recommend to others if asked. read more

I have been eyeing this taco deli since before it was opened; I can see it from my patio. I have been looking forward to trying their tacos. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I ordered breakfast tacos 6 minutes after 11am. I didn't realize they had a limit on breakfast until the lady who ordered next to me was denied ordering from the breakfast menu. I thought that was strange. I got my tacos to go, and drove across the street. I immediately opened my foiled tacos, and was pretty disappointed. And when I tried to eat the tacos, I was even more disappointed. I feel that I have gotten passive aggressive tacos because of my late breakfast order. If not, then just avoid this place because their tacos are not good. read more

I am extremely busy today but I had to take a few moments to document my feelings about this taco deli. I just had one of the best meals that I've hadIn a very long time, my tacos were absolutely perfect. I had the deli belly taco on flour and I had the stuffed relleno taco on flour, and just wow. I wanted to get the exact same meal afterwards even though I was completely full just because they were so delicious. I'm not playing, and I rarely leave reviews...Only when I have five star experiences, which are far and few between. Go to this taco deli If you want an amazing meal. They also have a lot of really good sides including organic black refried beans...both of these tacos I ate are Wednesday specials, but there are amazing specials every day. read more

The breakfast tacos are delicious and the service was very kind and helpful. I recommend adding grilled onions and queso to any taco! Portion size - they aren't the hugest tacos, so I recommend 2-3 to really get full. read more

Austin born and Austin bred and they are all so special but when a restaurant such as this expands to other places the quality tends to suffer. I think the food variety is great but the execution .. all depends on who is physically making it. The staff are great w customers but I feel that more attention need to be paid on the food handling/cleanliness since I came home w a stomach bug. Also be forewarned that when you take out a large order make sure you count the items in the bag, surely you don't want to have to go back to pick up the missing piece. read more

Stopped by for their soft opening today and I'm SO glad I did! 4 stars for finishing issues because it was definitely a soft opening. There were a few consistency issues with amount of toppings (one of our carne asada tacos had cilantro and onion-- the other had only onion, -- and order accuracy (pinto beans instead of black beans)that kind of thing. Easily fixed with practice! Once we bit in, however it was all worth while! Each thing we ate was DELICIOUS! The beef is flavored perfectly, and the carne asada tacos were delicious with and without cilantro. The pollo en pitiable rojo was HOT- so be aware- but delicious! The chicken grilled to perfection. My daughter's beef quesadilla was a bit of a surprise-- it looks more like a taco, with the cheese melted onto the tortilla and the beef added in on top of the cheese-- but she raved about the flavor. The guacamole is great-- smooth and creamy with a bit of bite to it, and the queso is smooth and creamy. Overall I will DEFINITELY be back and I expect it to be an easy 5* once they smooth out the opening bumps! read more

I've driven past this location many times but finally had a chance to stop. Sadly, the queso is thin and runny. Some people like that but not us. Tacos were mediocre. Might come back one more time to try the guacamole and different tacos but just middle of the road for me. read more

Description of the tacos is enticing but the taste- not so much. I was excited to see what a famous Austin taco place had to offer and the options sounded great but all I tasted was intense heat on both tacos I ordered. It's all about the sauces and the sauces really tasted the same and differed from one another only in the intensity of heat level. read more

I work with Watermere at Frisco and my supervisor thought of them immediately for an impromptu staff breakfast that we were needing to put together for the next day. We needed about 50 breakfast tacos ready to go by 930am the next day. They were so great every step of the way. The customer service for order over phone was wonderful, they packed the different type of tacos separately, made sure they were labelled clearly, had sauces packed for us, and even threw in some cups that I was needing for orange juice complimentary to help me out in a time bind. I was greeted with a smile. Every staff member at the breakfast here on site loved the tacos, we ordered 3 different types. The Otto. Sirloin, egg, and cheese. Huevos Ahogados. All 3 tacos were great, the flavor was wonderful, staff praised both the tacos and the 3 different sauces that they sent with (even the spicy one). We were asked multiple times (myself and my supervisor) where this location was at so that our staff could eat there again soon. Our breakfast was to thank the staff for hard work and Taco Deli stole the show. Many Many thanks to your business and employees for being flexible and working with us to make our breakfast great.
