I dropped in here a week ago and ordered the Mediterranean panini sandwich without onion. It seemed…read moreto be an easy order. When it came, the side was listed on the menu as vegetables. I got three slim Julien slices of carrot. Nothing to really complain about, also nothing to write home about either. Getting to the sandwich, I had one bite and immediately spit it into a napkin. I opened it and it was filled with green peppers. The waitress came by and I asked why the green peppers, the menu states "sweet bell peppers". I asked for red or green peppers and she took it away to fix the sandwich. They didn't give me a new sandwich, they picked off the green peppers and replaced them with red peppers. It was not great as it was no longer hot, but edible. I had some difficulty eating as I couldn't get the image of someone's fingers picking out the green peppers. Here is the kicker, while I was waiting for the disassembly and reassembly of my sandwich the manager came by with a menu. She pointed out the sandwich comes with bell peppers and green peppers are bell peppers. Although that is on it's face true. The menu states "sweet bell peppers ". This clearly refers to ripe bell peppers as red, orange and yellow that are ripe and sweet. Contrasting this is the green bell peppers as that is bitter or sharp it it's flavour and liked by those that prefer this bitterness. The manager was simply demonstrating she didn't know or care enough to know the difference between the menu and the substitution of green peppers. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

The ambiance is very comfortable, you can seat yourself at any open space you'd like. Their food is good, their burgers are really good, I quite enjoy their fried chicken sandwich. Their fish and chips are also really good, with big pieces of fish and crispy fries. The nachos are really good, made the mistake of ordering the "regular" size and it was too big for just 2 of us, but it was for sure tasty with fresh ingredients. We also like their deep fried pepperoni with the mustard dipping sauce it comes with. Another part I really enjoy with this place is their homebrewed beers. I personally really enjoy the blueberry beer they have (I believe during the summertime) and the raven ale. You can get a growler of their beers to take home and enjoy and it is very affordable, I believe $15 for a growler of the raven ale. Parking is street parking, but if the streets are full, which it rarely is, there is the town parking lot not too far from this place. Oh, and I should add, this place also has a pretty decent arcade/games room upstairs and a banquet hall to be rent or host events like a comedy show. Service is great, the servers are very pleasant and the food comes out quick and hot.

Disclaimer: I don't frequent bars, pubs, or other noisy places…read more I went to Rosie's restaurant just to try their beet burger, which is (supposed to be) vegan. I wasted my time, the burger tasted awful, and was terribly presented: the buns, patty, lettuce, and a tiny bit of (onion?) sauce. I mean come on, other veggies exist asides from lettuce. What about cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mushrooms? And what about other kinds of sauces or condiments, mustard, ketchup, hummus? When they offered me choice of several sides and I asked for the beans, they told me they put bacon in it...really? How hard is it to not shove meat into everything? In would NOT recommend this place as my meal tasted terrible and felt like there were quite a few things missing. That being said, you may have a better experience if you are not vegetarian or vegan, and if you enjoy noisy places with a bunch of alcohol -- I don't, and I felt some quite negative vibes from there.

The visit this time was not good. Their Covid measures were excellent though! Very thorough. However, we ordered the mozza sticks (were served barely warm), the fish and chips was fine but nothing great, the philly cheese steak sandwich was not edible. It was greasy, the bread was soggy, the cheese and veggies hid a miniscule amount of poor quality steak "bits", it made me feel nauseous after a few bites because it was actually gross. The service was horribly slow albeit friendly. Sadly, we won't go back there are too many great places to eat. We did not eat at Paddy's pub adjacent so this is not a reflection on their pub.
