I dropped in here a week ago and ordered the Mediterranean panini sandwich without onion. It seemed to be an easy order. When it came, the side was listed on the menu as vegetables. I got three slim Julien slices of carrot. Nothing to really complain about, also nothing to write home about either. Getting to the sandwich, I had one bite and immediately spit it into a napkin. I opened it and it was filled with green peppers. The waitress came by and I asked why the green peppers, the menu states "sweet bell peppers". I asked for red or green peppers and she took it away to fix the sandwich. They didn't give me a new sandwich, they picked off the green peppers and replaced them with red peppers. It was not great as it was no longer hot, but edible. I had some difficulty eating as I couldn't get the image of someone's fingers picking out the green peppers. Here is the kicker, while I was waiting for the disassembly and reassembly of my sandwich the manager came by with a menu. She pointed out the sandwich comes with bell peppers and green peppers are bell peppers. Although that is on it's face true. The menu states "sweet bell peppers ". This clearly refers to ripe bell peppers as red, orange and yellow that are ripe and sweet. Contrasting this is the green bell peppers as that is bitter or sharp it it's flavour and liked by those that prefer this bitterness. The manager was simply demonstrating she didn't know or care enough to know the difference between the menu and the substitution of green peppers. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. read more

This place is amazing! Vegan, keto, "normal"! Whatever you need. Portions are amazing, food tastes great. The service was outstanding! There is a selection of takeaway items as you leave as well. Teas, sauces, keto pancake mixes. Candied jalapeños, how awesome is that? One disappointment. No elephants to be found. Seriously. Check this place out! read more

This is a new-ish edition to Kingston... meaning it has only been here for a couple of years. It's a sit down coffee shop built into an old house. The set-up is a bit odd and you have to walk through tables of people eating to get to the take-out counter. All food and pastries are cooked/baked in-house using good old fashioned ingredients (flour, butter, sugar, milk) so there are no extras that you usually find in cafe foods (e.g. corn syrup, soy solids, and those suspicious "natural flavours"). This is great for my daughter who has a corn allergy. As for the coffee... they have espresso based drinks: lattes, cappuccinos. For non-dairy they use Pacific brand almond and soy milk; this is the best for making non-dairy based drinks because it's not too sweet and doesn't fall apart when steamed (the soy tastes just like milk). My latte was decent but not exceptional because the barista overheated the soy milk. I struggled with this rating and waffled between a 3-star/4-star. I settled with a "4-star" rating because this is the best espresso based coffee you are going to get in the Valley outside of Wolfville and the people who work here are really sweet. read more

Servers are rude if you are younger. I just wanted to stop by for a quick wrap and a coffee to go but they informed me it wasn't junk food take out and not to expect take out. Yes their coffee is rude but don't advertise take out if you are going to be rude about it. read more

Went there twice in the past week. Once for breakfast and once just for coffee. I think this is the most reasonably priced breakfast in the whole valley. $5.99 for toast, 2 eggs and bacon is pretty good. The food was tasty, too. They ask you how you want your eggs, have whole wheat or white bread. Bacon is just bacon: delicious! The other time tried a cappuccino. I rarely get such a huge cup for a cappuccino anyways. Not sure where they got their roast from but it's a nice place to sit down and have a chat. They actually renovated the place. When I went before it looked much smaller. Service is also pretty friendly. Overall, it's a pretty nice diner/coffee shop in Kingston. read more

Great service and great food. I liked being able to order eggs, meat, toast, and potatoes in varying amounts (1 egg, 2 eggs, etc). We were there during a busy Saturday morning and they still had fear service. Would go there every day if I could. read more

We have gone a few times now, and have had a great experience each time! My favorite is the Caesar salad, the best I have ever had. There are great sandwich options all of which can be made into a wrap or a panini. Delicious coffees. There is a special of the day, along with an ice cream bar, delicious looking desserts, and an all day breakfast menu on Sundays. I haven't tried these, yet. The owner and her staff a quick to welcome their customers, which is very nice. There are 2 high chairs. As a bonus there is a great selection of K-cups and the more environmentally friendly pods for Keurigs, at a great price, along with a nice selection of loose teas. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a chai latte and had one of their breakfast wraps as well. Absolutely delicious food and one of the best chai lattes I've had in a cafe in a very long time. Recently went here for breakfast and to see a friend off who was deploying. It's small but the service and food were good and the prices were reasonable. It's mostly a coffee shop so no free refills and the drink prices are higher than most. Otherwise I have no complaints. read more

One of the best cafes in the valley that is for sure! They have a huge menu offering options that are both vegan and gluten free, they even have high protein meals! The last time I went I got the tofu scramble and absolutely loved it! A must if you're in the kingston area! read more

I just adore this coffee spot with restaurant. Food: great variety on the menu and having tried more than a few of the items on there I can honestly attest to the yummy factor of goodness. Food tastes great. Fresh and made to order. Coffee and teas: they have a great and amazing variety of regular coffees to specialty lattes and frappés and teas. I again have been testing a few different kinds and have to say there isn't a bad choice to make in there. Service: greeted warmly and by friendly people. They are quick, attentive and awesome to deal with. Extras: if you have your keurig machine at home you can purchase mix match or boxes of your favorite flavor a for a good price. You can also buy NS made coffee beans/grinds to bring home to your own machine to brew yourself. Yummy! read more

A great cafe to go to in a town with a serious lack! The food is absolutely delicious, and they have both breakfast and lunch options. They also have a very large selection of drinks. They recently renovated last year to accommodate more indoor seating. The wait staff is very friendly. Good for smaller groups. read more

Sorry, I won't go back. I know a lot of people seem to like it. The people were nice, I found the breakfast menu to be lacking. The scrambled eggs were a solid square egg patty, my husband asked for French toast, they said no problem and gave him the bowl of elephant bites which was one piece and it's for kids. I had toast. I just won't go back for the food. The K-cups yes but not the food. read more

Menu extremely difficult to find online. Web site says open until 5 pm when in fact the kitchen closes at 4 pm. Staff not willing to make menu more accessible and not willing to correct the misleading impression given by the website. read more
