That's amazing; I love meeting hard working and ambitious individuals like this! During the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, I had the pleasure of meeting Leo and the team after being extremely intrigued by the name 'ribbon fries' - I was NOT disappointed. They are like the tornado potato fries (which they also offer) but they are not on a stick, and on a plate, they look simply delicious. Seriously, we had the plate on our table for less than a minute before a passerby demanded to know what it was and went to order it right away. I bit into it, expecting it to taste like regular ol' chippy things, but to my delight, these were the freshest potatoes EVER! They were also perfectly salted. Omnomnom. The truck is a bit plain and could definitely use better marketing to sell these amazing fries and poutines. I think they're thinking of revamping it to draw in da crowdz - he also recently got a new TV that broadcasts pics of the food offered! Steppin' up the game! The food offerings here were not your over the top stereotypical food truck eats, instead they focused on doing classic menu items (hamburgers, sausages, hot dogs, fries, poutine, etc) I was only looking for a snack and when I walked up so when I asked for their personal recommendations they suggested that I go with their poutine. The portion of poutine was massive and the cheese curds were perfectly mixed throughout (which is actually an accomplishment since so many places just top their fries with cheese). The best was the gravy; hot, thick (without lump) and a great salty flavour! I'm a massive fan of all forms of hot dogs, whether it's standard fare like Ted's, or bizarre concoctions like Zunzi in Savannah, Georgia. Frank Gourmet just falls short for me. It did absolutely nothing for me. There was nothing gourmet about it and I didn't particularly enjoy it. I understand that it's making very interesting combinations and it's trying to offer dogs from all over the country. But the LA street dog (wrapped in bacon) tastes nothing like the LA dogs (not even one tenth as good, not even close), and the others have a similar story. I guess I am spoiled. You'd be better spending your money at one of the other downtown food carts, although if you fancy a hot dog there isn't really anything horribly wrong with these dogs either. It's better than Lloyd's Taco Truck. But then that's not saying much.

We had the food truck at my wife's 50th Birthday Party, and I tell you there is no so such experience. Maryam and her husband are the greatest, and will do whatever, to make sure there are smiles everywhere. We do a lot of entertaining, and Italians eat well. but i have to say these guys topped it!! I received unbelievable compliments, thumbs up from everyone, adults and kids, and our friends still talk about the burgers, and poutines till this day. I had been recommended the beef poutine but actually it didn't go well with the burger, since the beef was chopped up burger patty, so it was the same as the burger. The burger had fresh tasting toppings & patty. The poutine was a good size for one person, but the curds didn't squeak, the fries were not crispy despite being fresh (they were like home fries in the form of French fries). The gravy was good though & the beef was quite tasty. There's no option to upgrade the fries in your combo to a poutine. But basically the combo gives you a free drink anyway.
