Food is good however, the lady at the window was completely rude. At the speaker, we ordered 32oz drinks. When we pulled up to the window, without saying anything, she handed us 24oz cups. When we told her, she was really bothered having to go back and fix the mistake. We also paid for guac and sour cream. ($3 extra) and didn't receive. Neither did we receive straws. The lady obviously doesn't like her job and was very rude and acted like us ordering was such a big inconvenience.

Taco Bell who?? This is the best taco shop I've been too hands down. The vibes of the place are immaculate just as every taco I tried on the menu, the curly fries were amazing too. The service was nice & friendly.

So I am on my way to New Mexico and in need of some grub. It's around lunch time and I wanted to stay close to where I need to be heading. There wasn't many options. Fast food, fast food or yep, fast food. There was also Taco Villa. Yeah, it is also among the fast food domain, but not a national chain, so there was slight hope. I could have gone into my Yelp app and found some good places, but there were out of the immediate area of where I wanted to stay. I ventured in, and checked out the options. Tacos, burritos, nachos and something called a taco burger. I did not get that. I went with a beef taco and a meat burrito and a drink. I kept it simple because I didn't know if this was going to be a Taco Hell kind of meal. The food was decent. What really caught my eye was the fresh salsa bar that also had whole jalapenos and habaneros. The habanero salsa was pretty good. My friend who I was visiting later that day apparently has a thing for the place. If she had known I was stopping there I would have had to bring her some food. It was good, would I go out of my way for this place? Probably not, but in a pinch, I wouldn't starve either. As I said, great salsa bar.

Stopped in to grab something fast. Never been here before, never heard of the place. I hate these types of situations lol. But Yolanda at the register made me feel like I had been there a million times.

Visiting my girlfriend and her family in Amarillo led me to trying some of their favorite places in…read morethe city. My girlfriend's mom was especially excited to take me to El Tejaven while I was visiting. This dinner was a celebration of my girlfriend's sister playing in the top All-Region orchestra. It has nothing to do with the food itself, but I want to mention it because she did a great job performing and I think it deserves to be remembered here. It is the reason we went in the first place. It was a busy night at El Tejaven before we arrived. A group of 32 was just wrapping up dinner. Thirty two people. At that point, just cater, dawg. It took about 20 minutes after arrival to get seated, but it likely would have been much quicker if it were not for a group that size. Once we were seated, we were served chips and salsa. The salsa was spicier than I was prepared for, but it was good. The chips were excellent as well. Most people at the table ordered margaritas on the rocks, while I got a dressed Dos Equis on draft. From what I tasted, the margaritas were solid. For appetizers, we ordered the small queso and the small ceviche. The queso was standard but good. The ceviche, on the other hand, was exceptional. I could have eaten a large bowl by myself. I was pretty hungry, so I ordered the Orden de Tacos, which comes with four tacos on corn tortillas. I got all of them with al pastor. I also added a side of rice and beans, which normally comes with the three taco order but can be added on for the four tacos. The tacos were very good and exactly what you want from street style al pastor, especially with the cilantro and onions. It comes out to roughly four dollars per taco if you do the math. The rice and beans were both great and I ate all of it easily. The plate also came with a side of guacamole that had a nice kick, which I enjoyed. Living in Austin with family in San Antonio, it is easy to find good and authentic Mexican food. That does not always seem to be the case in Amarillo, so it is nice to know there is at least one spot in the city that feels authentic and not overly gringoified. My girlfriend's family knows ball. We were brought individual flights of salsa to go with the chips. My michelada hit the spot. Was it the best? No. But it scratched the itch. I couldn't decide on what to eat. Until I saw green chili stew and asado. I moved away from Midland in 2015. You don't really find asado away from West Texas. The music wasn't too loud and the lighting wasn't too bright or too dim. Overall, we enjoyed our meals. I'll likely stop back in the next time I'm in town.

We ordered queso and they brought us a little cup because they were out and said they weren't going to charge us for it. We ordered our food and it took forever to get to our table and both of our dishes were cold. We advised the manager that it was taking a long time and she said fish tacos do take a while, but they were also cold. When I told her my food was cold, she took my plate and said I guess you want me to take this from you, asked my friend how her food was. My friend said OK but my tacos are cold and she said she'll comp her meal and then I was brought a ticket for just drinks. No offer to fix anything or get us hot food. The waitress even said they put the avocado on the wrong plate but didn't offer to fix it. I will not go back
