Visited on 6/21/2025 - cashier's name on receipt is Miriam. I grew up in Amarillo and have always loved Taco Villa. Anytime I come to town, I have to make a stop or two while visiting. The bean chalupa and bean burrito extra cheese are my favorites. Everyone in my family loves the taco burgers. The salsa is so good! (Mad at myself for not remembering to bring some back to Chicago with me). This location was super clean. Miriam deserves praise! - While we were eating an elderly lady dropped her yeti cup that she just filled, ice and dr pepper went everywhere. The lady was apologizing saying she felt horrible for her accident. Miriam immediately came from behind the counter, told the lady she was concerned with making sure she was ok and immediately cleaned up the mess. She smiled, showed sincere kindness and didn't get annoyed with the simple accident. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my tacos this morning. I think they are way above Taco Bell. Just add some Pico,Salsa and Jalepenos or Habenero if you are that adventurous. Maybe a lil on the bland side,but that's what salsa is for. Not everyone can eat spicy food. This was as good as I remember. Maybe better. Got just enough room to swing a Big Truck in here. Great Customer Service: I did a carry out order on Friday, 27 May during the lunch hour. As I approached the register, an older employee was correcting a young employee about the use of a cash register. It was obvious that the younger employee was embarrassed about being corrected in front of a customer. I ask the younger employee if I needed to move to another register to place my order, she said "no, my customers are more important" ...than dealing with the older employee. What a great (and rare!) attitude these days! By the way, the order was correct and the food was great. I wish I remembered the young lady's name as I would thank her personally. read more

Best place ever !! My favorite location is on Georgia st where the best lady Candice works at . She is lovely and the best at service and only go there to receive her excellent and loving service . This place has a cult following, which I love, but unfortunately, I didn't love the tacos. The basic beef taco is kinda bland, and the shell was kinda stale. The shell was hefty enough that it didn't crumble while eating it, and the mexi curls were tasty. Overall, decent road food, but I don't think I'll join the FB fan page. read more

The biggest problem I had is I ordered 6 tacos and I got 5. But of course I went to my hotel room before I checked. So if you end up coming here, count your tacos before you leave. I have always been a huge supporter of Taco Villa on I-40 and grand, but for months now I have been very disappointed and will not be back anytime soon. First of, you never get what you ask for in the drive though and the burritos hardly ever come with red sauce anymore, its like a little tiny bit if any, also they keep keep you at the order menu till they throw together your food instead of letting you pull up and wait a few minutes or seconds, french fries are always cold and taste old. You used to advertise about the freshness of your food, but it is far from it when you go through the drive though. I get it when you are busy, but when you pull up and there is no one even in line at all it is very sad. If you complain they really don't care. Please get it together Taco Villa I know everything has gone up, but please take care of the customers that chose to come eat with you and make fresh food and listen to their order. read more

I order my salad ole so specifically, I basically asked them to make a bean burrito pretty much inside my salad, and then was even more specific about the whole salad. Stopped for a bite to eat during out drive from Dallas TX to Oregon, and decided to give Taco Villa a shot and left disappointed. Burritos were on the skimpy side and a bit spendy. Asked for extra sour cream on a burrito and either the left it off or there was so little it went unnoticed. My daughter was equally disappointed with her food as it too was on the smaller side and generally lacking all around. The location itself adequate from the outside but on the inside it appears sun-faded and designed in the 90's; it is in need of a refresh (for you west-coast readers, try to visualize a tired Taco Time) and some time should be spent with clearing of the clutter near the cash registers and beverages. There were bums or transients or general no-good-niks hanging out in the general area of the store as a liquor store is only a few hundred feet away; I did not feel the contents of my pickup bed were safe at this location in the middle of the afternoon. Parking lot ingress/egress had significant dips in and out with the exception of the exit on SE 19th; keep this in mind should you have a low to the ground vehicle or are pulling a trailer as you run the risk of bottoming out. I strongly feel that we will never return to this location and in future should we have the misfortune of finding ourselves in Amarillo at this particular corner of town again, we will head down the service road and hit the Whataburger instead... at least we will be on the other side of the street from the liquor store bums that way. read more

Terrible food!! The meat looked like canned dog food and we will never be back. We are new to Amarillo. Only been here 3 months. We were looking for a good fast food Mexican place. Let me just tell you..... OMG YUCK!!! I don't know what it is with Texan's and claiming Taco Villa is the best. We ordered a combo plate that included the soft beef taco, the combo burrito and the bean tostadas. Let's begin: 1: The 'beef' has NO flavor. It was bland and gross. They obvisouly either forgot to add seasoning to it or its just that aweful. So, the tacos and burrito were just icky. 2. The tomatos were soggy. Obviously, they have been sitting out for a long time and have no turn over or just lazy cooks don't want to rotate the old out and bring new in. 3. The red salsa..... It comes in little creamer looking cups. It was sweet! There was no spice to it and made the food taste even worse because of the sweetness to it. I do not know how the other reviews can say the best mexican fast food over Taco Bell or Bueno. For one, taco bell flavors their foods and it's great. Taco Bueno has good food as well! More flavor! Absolutely disgusting. Only tastes authentic cause it smells and tastes like it came from a street vendor in Tijuana. Chicken may contain %20 bone %15 percent feather and %65 hoof because why not. Taco Villa is a franchise that is exclusive to the Texas panhandle. I was born & raised in Amarillo. We've lived in Oklahoma for 18 years now but still have family there. When we are in Amarillo, we eat at Taco Villa everyday, and get takeout for the day we're leaving town. The taco burgers & quadalajas are fabulous. Actually, everything is fabulous. The only complaint I have is that I can't buy their sauce by the gallon. We have to stuff our pockets full of the little tubs so that we can extend our "fix" for a few days. read more
