The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. I'll definitely be exploring more of this area of Renton--there seem to be a ton of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. We went late at night, so options were a bit limited at the time, but this was a good find.

Some places skimp on the lengua because it's since become and expensive cut but not El kiosko. It's tender and delicious. They've moved their location to a much larger location since then and it's so nice. Well deserved. The parking lot is huge so don't worry about that. When we came in we were told to choose a seat wherever we'd like then promptly served chips and salsa. The salsa was so good. We got to try their taco Tuesday for the first time and the Al pastor was so flavorful and they make the carnitas super crispy. We were also surprised to see they now have a full bar. We ordered a cantarito and although yummy, I didn't think they put the right amount of alcohol for how massive the cup is but that's alright it was good nonetheless:) Salsa bar was nice and full both times we came to the new location and kept clean between uses. The jalapeno toast was the star of the show, great flavors and textures. The ceviche was solid with maybe a little too much tomato for my personal taste. The lechon came in a mountain of pork and rice, if I were to get it again I would probably ask to get the meat on the side since all the sauce/oil dripped down into the rice. In total we spent ~90 for 2 people Ambiance: The restaurant is a really beautiful space, we loved the lighting and decorations Service: Here is where there were a few things took a turn. Service is obviously very subjective, but I felt like our waitress could have been more welcoming and explained more since she did ask us if it was our first time there and we said yes it was. There were 4 sauces that came with our meal and she never explained to us what they were or even what we should be eating them with. She also never checked in on us and when we asked for some boxes and the bill she seemed pretty dismissive. Something more weird for us was when another staff member came with a big camera and light and started taking pictures of us mid meal. After a few minutes she came back with framed photos of us and offered them to us for $20 a picture. When we declined she seemed irritated we didn't want to pay for a service we didn't ask for.

My fiance had ordered the supreme burrito. Normally burritos are freshly made to order so we thought it would take some time for our food to be made.
