Tried Taco Time for a late lunch yesterday. I ate at the restaurant. Ordered a Steak Quesadilla and one Crispy Taco just to see what they are all about. Quesadilla... very cheesy, nice green chile flavor, decent portion of meat. I liked it and would order again. Taco.... I picked it up at the counter, sat down, and unwrapped it. Shell was broken pretty badly, and it had to have been that way when they put it together (see pic). Meat was barely spiced, not much flavor. Not sure I would order the tacos here again. Yesterday I order a tostada with hamburger meat chips with guacamole and a drink I was eating the tosada and it tasted bland I went to the counter to ask for a small cup of onions that lady started ringing me up I asked I have to be charged for onions she said yes huffing tosada dont come with onion and it's an extra charged her attitude was foul and I reluctantly paid for the onions,I wouldn't recommend this business to my worst enemy tosada from taco time consist of lettuce cheese and tomato the worst 15.00 I ever spent plus attitude never again read more

Staff don't care. Taco Time used to be way better. Was the quote unquote local. Not anymore. They got scam style reward system. The staff asks you three time what kind of sauce you want. Then forgets to put it in the bag. I almost double checked. Just expected the drive thru staff can figure it out. The portions are literally a joke these days. This place ain't how you remembered it. I got sick after eating here. The food quality is extremely low. The food tastes terrible. Do not eat here!

Where to start? The bathroom was clean as well as the the dinning room. The music playing is excellent, heard some Posion and now some Prince. The food was prepared very quickly. I had ordered the Fully Loaded 9 Alarm burrito and a #1 Soft Taco. The 9 Alarm is why this store only gets 4 stars. I have been very disapointed in how mild everything has been here in Euegen. If you call your hot sauce "Hotter Hot Sauce" I'd expect it to be hot, not mild. The food itself is delicious. The tator tots are very good, tge burrito was delicious although mild, and the soft taco (more of a regual burrito but I know this chain called them soft tacos) is pretty good. If you are new to the area, try them out. The staff is excellent and have smiles on their faces. read more

I'm more impressed by this Taco Time than any other location in the Eugene area. I mean, it's Taco Time, so it's nothing special to start with, but this restaurant is better than any others. I went in here with my mother yesterday. We were shopping in the area and she needed to eat. OK, this was the quickest and easiest thing nearby. So we decide that'll work. We went in and had an older lady as our cashier. I didn't happen to catch her name, but she was nice and helpful. We looked at the menu. They currently have a 4 items for $5.55 special. It's tacos, the crisp bean burritos, small mexi-fries, small soda, and a couple other things that I forget exactly what they are. Anyway, mom decided she wanted two tacos, which was exactly what I was thinking. Lol. So, I figured I would do the $5.55 deal twice, and just get four tacos, plus a couple mexi-fries and a soda. So I ordered this with our cashier. She asked me if I wanted to do two of these deals. Ummm... yes? Duh. Unless you're not planning on charging me for the second one, of course I want two. Like, do people really get confused there? Maybe they do, I don't know. Oh well, she was super nice about it, and really wanted to make sure she did it right the first time. So I'll give her that one, but the question seemed a little silly at first. Lol. So they call our number after we've found a table. The one thing I find a little annoying is once they've called out the number, they walk off to do other things. So if you want green sauce or anything they don't have at the counter, you kind of have to flag someone down to get those items. But the restaurant is clean, tables wiped down consistently, no sticky floors or anything. I happen to find this to be a big plus, my service was given with a smile, and the food is decent. It was hot, cooked to order. There is nothing worse than cold tater tots/mexi-fries, that have been sitting and waiting for you long before you've even decided to eat there. I despise that. But it wasn't the case here, they were fresh. Would I return? Yes, I prefer this restaurant over any of the other Taco Time locations. I don't eat their food very often, as I prefer either making my own tacos or going to a real, sit-down Mexican restaurant. But in a pinch, this location has pretty decent food. Overpriced Taco Bell at best! DecorAted with a nice Southwest theme, but felt dirty. Cooking area was not nearly as nice as most modern fast food places. Menu limited to a taco salad, a nacho plate and a few burrito variations. "Mexican" fries are tater tots. I tried their top of line Juan burrito...I'd rather spend my money at Burrito Boy. Food was okay. I got their chicken burrito combo (side, drink, burrito) for around $11.00. However, there were a bunch of flies in front of the ordering counter which was pretty gross. The drive-thru is really long. My dad said that if they were to replace this place with a Popeyes then it would be more crowded but I don't really see the difference. When I'm in a hurry, my kids like the bean burritos here, but today we decided to get my daughter the plain nachos. First negative, they charge over $5 for a few handfuls of chips with melted cheddar cheese on top. Something I can do at home for $.50. Second negative, after a few bites my daughter complained that the styrofoam plate they were on was melted, and some of it seen on the cheese. Her mouth then was tingling and she couldn't eat the rest nor did she want to. Some things cooperate needs to change! One star for the food that my kids actually enjoy. read more

I go here a few times a year when I get that craving for a crisp meat burrito, and I am on the go. For one they are way better than the run for the boarder meals. I try to avoid that place if I can. I usually go for real meal deals if you know what I mean. Not fast food. But some times life has a way of being in the way, and requires you to eat on the run. The food here is a little better quality. I had a salad, and it wasn't too bad. The coke is good. I like the ice machines they use. It's the crushed kind. It is middle status for me because it is fast food for one, and two I hate the drive through. It is hard to hear for both them taking the order, and the customer giving it, and also when driving through it is really tight I am afraid of scraping wheels. I used to have a Honda with spendy wheels, and my old Acura had spendy wheels, they are pretty small cars. I was always worried about the weird shaped corners and scraping, and when I had my big rig truck, and burbans I was hoppin those things. I am back to a smaller car, and am still scared and it has great steering. The service is excellent. I will still cave in to my cravings all though I have those minor complaints, because it doesn't take away from the food, or the service here. read more

Taco Time? Not here. The Big Juan burrito was not that good at all. The rice was hard, and the flavor was meh. The call their tater tots "mexican fries" not sure why when there just tater tots. The place was empty at dinner time. That should have tipped me off but my son wanted to try it before going to the Emeralds baseball game, so we did. Never again. read more

I used to work at a Taco Time a while back, so I am a very picky taco time eater. This place does not always get the orders completely right (for example: Chimichanga without the sauce on top), but when they do they nail it. This is the only taco time I'm willing to give my money to in Eugene. read more

Finally got around to trying this place just to put my curiosity at ease, knowing it was going to be mediocre at best. I went through the drive through and just ordered a random variety of things. Stuffed mexi fries were great, they were like hash brown bites with cheese and jalepeno, crispy and hot. Next was the chicken quesadilla, this was pretty good too pretty similar to Taco Bell or del taco. Now for the "soft tacos." These were awful. They weren't even tacos they were burritos, and the meat had a bad flavor like the seasoning was off and there was so much of it too bleh. We wondered how our bill was $20, we figured a soft tacos should only be $1-2, but nope, they were $3.80! And we had ordered 3! I guess if you're expecting a burrito it's not so bad. Lastly, I ordered a crispy burrito and when I got home it wasn't even in the bag. Very disappointing. I would only go back to this place for the stuffed mexi fries. read more
