8.97 CHARGE TO ADD SOUR CREAM?

We just left the drive thru after purchasing 2 dozen of bakers dozen of tacos from your location. One of our orders was to make those suprême.... no lettuce and tomatoes. The only thing we wanted on one dozen of those tacos was to add sour cream. Granted.... you're already saving in not having to give us lettuce and tomatoes as we ordered them without. Most places will let you know up front and tell you if there is going to be a big upcharge and offer you another way to save you money. This isn't a 5 star sit down restaurant. This is a drive thru only taco joint. We wondered why our bill was so high, but didn't notice until we got home and looked at the receipt to see that you charged us 8.97 for sour cream. You did not tell us that it would be 9.00 extra to simply add sour cream. You could have simply charged us .69 one one order of a sour cream and we could have put the sour cream on ourselves! This is ludicrous and it's sinful that you would rip off your customers by charging them an extra .69 per taco, when you simply could have given us one order of side of sour cream for 69 cents which would have been more than enough to cover the entire dozen. Sour cream does not cost that much and you don't use but a dollop for each taco. We could have bought a couple of quarts at the grocery store for what you charged us to add a teaspoon to each taco! I called to complain and question this outrageous charge and the manager argued with me and wouldn't give me any kind of credit nor work with me on this. She was rude, sarcastic and hung up on me. I called back to get her name and it is Jenna Martinez! She should NOT be in management at all! Your management along with her staff needs to be retrained in customer service and how to interact properly, treat customers and be upfront about your extra charges that you sneak in on people. SHAME ON YOU! WHAT YOU DID IS SIMPLY CROOKED AND SHADY!

Purchased a 6 pack of soft tacos for my granddaughter. She ate one, I put a little mild sauce and my own sour cream. Her 2nd one she said I don't like the taco sauce. So I opened another one and just put sourcream. She then said I don't want anymore. I tasted the taco, it was awful. The meat didn't taste like taco meat. It tasted like what dried kibble dog food smells like. Taco Tuesday (4:45, 3/11/25). The lettuce was subpar. Worst tasting tacos. I ordered tacos their several times. I chose Taco Tico over Taco Bell because Taco Bell is overly salty. I tried sending a email, it wouldn't go through. So I'll drive there when it's not busy to tell them about my experience and request my money back $11.29.

Tried this place for the first time. I was craving hard shell tacos, so that's what I got. In a nutshell, they taste very similar to Taco Bell's hard tacos. Pretty weird. I was expecting more of an authentic Mexican taste. Came with lettuce, shredded cheese, tomato, and sour cream. I also had the deluxe (or is it supreme?) enchilada. Overall, it was pretty good! It was full of flavor. Nice dollop of sauce, cheese, and packed with ground beef. Speaking of ground beef...I'm not too sure how I feel about the texture of their ground beef. It's almost TOO soft. Seems a bit pasty but maybe that's just me. Overall, the food was decent. I think I'll continue my search for a "taste of Mexico" until I return to Mexico.

Since I was a little rascal roaming the streets near UNO, there was a Taco Tico and a movie theatre on Elysian Fields and Robert E. Lee boulevard. I always ordered the taco burger and could never get enough of them. Today it's all gone and I thought the taco burgers would be no more. Then, I saw the sign. The Taco Tico sign in Kenner. Who would have known. A hike in the wall joint but just one bite and it all came back to me. Fresh taco burger supreme x's 3 later and the tummy is full, a memory of past realized and life is good.... Remember to support your local businesses and know that sometimes the dives over the best foods.

This is the last Taco Tico location in the state of Louisiana. The company is actually based out of Wichita, Kansas and the remaining locations are privately owned. (According to Wikipedia) We got take out here this past Saturday for lunch. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are only doing drive-thru service. There was a little bit of a line when we showed up, but their crew kept it moving pretty quick. They have a decent sized menu with a variety of the typical Mexican entrees offered (Tacos, Burritos, Enchiladas, Quesadillas, etc). The portions were ample and the prices were great. I got the special they were featuring which was 3 Carnitas Tacos for $6.95. They were excellent. I would definitely go back for more of those.

You can look at the meat and see that it is not cooked or heated up whatever they do to it!!!!

I was served tacos today the meat was freezing cold, like right out the refrigerator!! I call to complain and Karena (the manager) wants to argue with me about my order that I just picked up and I can feel that the meat is freezing cold!!! This place is going downhill fast!!! The employees are very unprofessional and I will not ever go back to this rat & roach infested disgusting Taco Tico!!! I wouldn't not have even given this shit hole even 1 star if I didn't have to!!!!

Ummm, *blinking eyes* and not in a good way.

Not my first time here but first time in over a year and the taste is just as bad if not worse. I'm sorry to be so truthful. I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt but this is consistently bad. The reg crunchy tacos are $1.19 and $1.49 for the supremely nasty ones. I just can't make out the meat taste. It tastes like they mix refried beans in with the meat but it's not. Hot sauce has a very strong vinegar base that's overpowering and I haven't tried much of anything else. Every Sunday, tacos are $.79 each but I don't think it's worth a third try, albeit, three time's a charm, so I hear.

Similar to other fast food Tex-Mex, but way fresher food and a little less expensive. The green chili sauce is killer.

On our last visit the fajitas were incredibly salty and we did not even finish them. Well, THEY ARE BACK! I am very happy to say this! We went there last week and had the chicken and steak fajitas and they were incredible once again. Great flavor, well seasoned, cooked to perfection. I have one big complaint, however, and it has something to do with their supplier. In my wife's and my opinion, the shells they provide to you for the fajitas are an absolute joke. Taco Bell's shells are larger. Every other Mexican food restaurant I have gone to are larger. Really, guys, I don't want to hear about your supplier, I could not care less and really do not want excuses. Then, the bartender has the Gaul to tell us that they are designed more for pushing than making a fajita! DO NOT tell me how to eat my meal and do not come up with such a poor excuse. This place has great Margaritas. Donnie is an incredible chef putting out the best Fajitas in the city! Don't insult your restaurant, your customers, and Donnie and give your customers Fajita shells that would be better suited to little hands in a grade school cafeteria!

Once I ordered, the food and drinks came out quickly. The 'unlimited' mimosas actually cap at 5, which is fine, but the mix they use cheapens the drink, and the glasses weren't the cleanest. The birria and grits were good (about a 7/10), though I think the pre-shredded Mexican blend cheese on top took away from the dish. A traditional white cheese would have worked better. The birria tacos were tasty, though. The bathrooms could use attention as there were no paper towels, which makes me wonder what employees do after washing their hands. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely cost-efficient. With a few tweaks to the drinks and presentation, this place could easily go from a 3-star to a 4- or 5-star brunch spot. I'll be back to try the tacos and check out the unlimited margaritas.

We weren't greeted, we had to ask for chips and salsa after our drinks arrived, and we had to ask for sauces once the food finally came. The waitresses were kind and quick to take my order. I ordered a simple fried fish and a queso for an appetizer. The queso was simple and just ok. The salsas were not spiced at all and were very watery. The dish came and it was extremely greasy, I get that it's a fried dish but at least let some of the oil drip off before plating. I used several napkins to try to take off some of the excess oil. The fries were very soggy and not seasoned at all and the fish looked appetizing but when I bit into it, it had no flavor whatsoever. The texture was there and it looked like it was going to taste good but it fell extremely short in taste. On the flip side, the beans were overly seasoned. The rice was also lacking salt. I felt bad when the waitress came to ask me how everything was. I had to tell her that they completely forgot to season my food. She apologized and I said it wasn't her fault and asked for my check and told her she might want to tell the chef to not forget the salt next time. Overall the place was nice for group gatherings, although the music was a little loud, they also had several TVs playing different things. Maybe I selected the wrong dish but I have to say I won't be going here again when I want a good Mexican seafood. I'll have to check out their other dishes and hope they're much better. For now they won't be added on my places to frequent during my work trips.
