I was recommended to this taco shop by a friend of mine. Coming from San Diego my Taco Expectation is VERY HIGH. The restaurant was empty at 1pm on a Saturday so I was immediately helped. MARIA was very kind and helpful and I my food came out hot & fast. Tables were clean and I observed numerous customers come in for take out orders. Overall a good experience for authentic Mexican tacos in NOLA.
I went for Taco Tuesday. Five traditional (street) tacos for $10.00. This was a great experience. Simple to order. Food came up fast and the taste was exceptional. I'll be back
This was my first time here and it was great! These tacos are the best I've ever had and I would definitely come back! The service was also great, and the food came out quickly. Great restaurant!
Service is great and the salsas are very good. I had the rock tocos, which birria can be hit or miss but these were very delicious!
This place has the best birria tacos It is a small restaurant but always clean The people that work here always greet you when you walk in the door This is my go to taco place
I went to this establishment based on the information that it was authentic Mexican food. If this restaurant was a representative of real Mexican food it fell below my expectations. I have eaten in Mexico and never encountered such greasy food. The tacos were fried not crispy but rather on the soggy side. I used napkins to try to blot the grease. The photo reveals the grease after blotting the tacos. $10.00 for 3 inedible tacos, the sauce (gravy) drippings was tasteless and greasy. You have to go to the counter to place your order and they swing the payment screen requesting a tip (the lowest suggested tip is 18 percent) are they kidding, you place your order at the counter, self serve for utensils, napkins and condiments. The condiments appeared to be unappetizing, and room temperature. A terrible lunch. My lunch companion had the dismal two shrimp tacos dish. It was served with a very small amount of guacamole and onions, $15.00. She remarked that we would have had a better meal at Taco Bell. We will not eat there again!
If you're looking for good tacos and food in general, put Paco's Tacos on your list and look no further. These are some of the best quality tacos I've had in the city. So fresh and delicious, the ladies can be seen in the open kitchen making them to order. And the salsa bar is so good with lots of options for the meek of heart to the heat seeking crowd. They offer beer, Coke products in bottles and Mexican soft drinks. Use the app to collect points too.
Tacos were just okay; nothing to brag about. Also they did not want to do the free taco promo on Tuesday which was a turn off. The birra sauce was pretty tasty.
So I originally went to Los jefes for birria tacos. Was highly disappointed so I went here right after. Was kinda full already so I only ordered one taco, andddddd I wasn't disappointed. To start, I love the entire female staff situation they got going on. Felt super comfortable. Staff was super nice . Bathrooms clean. Now onto the food... I enjoyed it. I wish I could have gone to Pacos tacos originally, won't make that mistake again. The broth was unbeatable , the super tender meat , and the shell of the taco alone was amazing. Definitely will be going back. And will be my first choice.
Good and affordable tacos. Rock tacos (3 per order) are probably what they're known for. Birria tacos with melted cheese inside of a hard taco and a side of the beef broth to dip into. Honestly, they're good but not overly exciting, so I'm not sure what the hype is about. Shrimp tacos with guacamole are good too. There's a self served, unlimited sauce bar next to the counter as well. The dining tables are always dirty here. Every visit, never fails. They don't wipe down the tables right after the customer leaves. It's discouraging. Cashiers are usually nice though, so you'll just have to ask them to wipe it down unless you don't care.
The best birria tacos I've had. Service is always fast and food is always hot and delicious. I have only had the Rock tacos because they are literally so good. Go give these guys a try!

Pretty good authentic Mexican tacos! Great value and tasty fresh tortillas however felt that some of the meats were lacking in seasoning/flavor, specifically the steak option. Nonetheless, overall good tacos that satisfied our craving! Also got the churros which were fresh and crisp! read more

We came across this place while we were in the NOLA area. Definitely a nice little taco spot if you are looking for some good tacos. Below is what we had. Quesa birria - 5 star - best taco at the restaurant and honestly which I just had these for all my tacos. Paco taco - 3 star - the steak was way over cooked and super chewy Tromping - 4 star - good, but needed a little salt Shrimp taco - 4 star - good but still needed flavor Would probably go back for the quesa birria, but would probably not order the others again. read more

Decided to give this place a try after a coworker recommended it. She said they had really good Birria tacos and they were her favorite in the city. Went on a Friday around lunch time and it wasn't packed. I ordered the rock tacos, which are their Birria tacos. The guy who took my order was nice and it didn't take too long for the food to come out. Even though the place is kind of small, I decided to eat there as they have indoor and outdoor seating. I liked that they have a cold bar where you can get limes, pico de gallo, salsa, and some other free toppings for your meal. Once I received my food, I was surprised by how much meat they put in it! The picture doesn't do it any Justice. I added lime and a little salt to my tacos and thought they were pretty good. I think the consome (dipping sauce for tacos) could have had a little more flavor, and like I said I put a little salt on my taco, but overall it's one of the better Birria tacos that I've had in the city. It was pretty filling as well. I ate 2 of the tacos there and saved one for later. I'd go back again and try another dish. read more

I ate here for lunch about 5 months ago. I gotta say, the food and service here are pretty darn good. I like that it is a counter service type place which means you just place your order at the counter and can pay separately if you have a group. So lets start with my favorite, the prickly pear margarita. I got it on the rocks and it was delish! It was also pretty strong, so highly recommend. Next, we heard they sold birria style tacos, yes and YES! very good flavor, will be back for more. Then we had the trompo, and the pork was very flavorful and we asked for extra guac. The only food I did not care for was the ramen. They should honestly stick to tacos and margs since they have just about perfected it. Also, I think this place could use more wall decor. Come on, dress it up and make it fun! :-) This place is on the smaller side, so not huge group place, the parking is somewhat small too. But it is a great location in the heart of Metry. Highly recommend! read more
We read the reviews on YELP for this restaurant so we decided to try this restaurant. It was fantastic. We had the chicken nachos and they were delicious. We also ordered the ribeye tacos and they were some of the best tacos i have ever had. They cook to order so everything was hot and fresh. I can not wait to go back. read more

The food was delicious again. I tried the street tacos, and they were excellent. My husband had the burrito which he enjoyed. He wouldn't let me get a picture of it before he he started to eat. The music is a bit loud. But, I guess it works for the work. Our food was prepared quickly. The tables and area were clean. Totally recommend trying this place. read more

Had some time to check out Pacos Tacos with the wife since she had the day off, so why not go for Tacos on a Tuesday?! Once she heard they had Birria tacos, she got ready in less than a minute! Fairly easy location to spot with limited parking space. The inside was fair with many tables around, but was pleased to see the restaurant fairly packed which lets me know they got something good going on. Everything is ordered at the register with a fair amount of items on the menu. Which is actually pretty good because their main focus are the tacos for sure. $10 for 5 street tacos with any choice of meat, you can't beat that price especially with all the other vendors around the area. They aren't skimpy on their protein either! The best thing you need to try are the ROCK TACOS! Talk about packed with flavor which comes with a dipping consome for enhanced flavor! You definitely have to come here at least once to try them out! Aside from the tacos, we also ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita which was pretty tasty which can easily pass for a daiquiri. You can definitely taste the alcohol in it, but not overpowering. I'll definitely be making my way back to this establishment to get some tacos if i'm craving some other than Taco Bell! PS... They provide a complimentary taco on Tuesday per customer for each order! read more

3.5/5 stars! I ordered the "rock tacos" which is their fancy way of saying birria. I'm personally not a fan of corn tortillas which they seem to use, so that was the only down side for me. The food was decently flavored and freshly made. I'd return to try more items for sure! read more

It's ok. They don't wipe down the table, the kids who work the counter are tweens and the people who cook make faces when asked something. I ordered the birria quesadillas and it didn't come with any birria sauce when I asked the cook lady, she rolled her eyes and did a little hands up in the air emoji face to her line cook mates. Most of the clientele looked about 15-17 years old too. They blast the mariachi music really loud too. It's maybe a place for teenage dates, idk? It's ok but just take it to go. read more
The tacos were ok. Nothing special. I will say this the burrito looked good. I probably should have got that. The customer service was great. I'm going to give them another shot at some point and see if there other items are better than the tacos but the tacos just didn't wow me. They were solid. read more
Randomly decided that I wanted tacos on a Tuesday so I made my way here! It's small establishment and limited (tight) parking and they offer dine- in service as well! I ordered 3 rock tacos to-go with a prickly pear margarita! EVERYTHING was AMAZING! I was stuffed after the second taco but I made myself eat the last one (don't shame)! The margarita is super good but strong so I definitely couldn't finish it in one night. I will be back!!! read more

A local friend recommended this taco shop during my NOLA weekend trip, which led us to coming here. Everything was delicious. From the quesadillas, tacos, tostadas, all of the above was out of this world! Fast service and clean area. There is a bar for extras, such as toppings and you can get how much ever you like. Highly recommend this place for legit tacos, perfect size, and meat portions are generous. read more
Listen man.. I am content, wholly and completely. Alright soooo lets get into the space, first. It's quaint, welcoming with simple dining arrangements.. ya know.. tables, chairs and some refrigerators with classic coke products. The tables are spaced appropriately to work with Covid guidelines.. so yea, that's a plus.. I don't need the next table all up on me. Alright.... the prickly pear margarita is cool if you like sweet. I like sour, So I mixed it with the house lime margarita and it was as they say "ON POINT" The tacos was bomb, there's no need to say more. Try everything.. savor it! And let it speak to your soul Sis/Bro! I'll be back! Oh, the staff is super cool and the host explains everything perfectly. read more
If there was a 1/2 star option, I would give Paco's 3 and 1/2 stars. My husband and I each got the 5 taco plate, with one of each meat. My husband liked all of the options. I found the chorizo and pork to be overly spiced. The other meats were pretty good. The main issue is the lack of variety. The tacos all had the same texture and consistency- no crunchy element. There wasn't a chicken or vegetarian option for the taco plate, and also no crunchy shells. And there are no sides. The condiment bar is very good, although all of the sauces are spicy. The people were friendly and the restaurant was clean. read more

I am totally confused. The name of this business is Taco Ton & it's located on Airline Hwy, but pictures & reviews are from Pacos Tacos in Metairie on Veterans Blvd. Where are the reviews for this business?
I am not sure why the name of the bussiness changed. Because this is definitely Paco taco
