Kua Mexican Kitchen is an authentic Mexican restaurant that prides itself on having traditional…read moredishes which are "truly" Mexican as opposed to the popular Tex-Mex style that dominates Mexican restaurants nowadays. Right off the bat, I would recommend Kua mainly because of the fact that it is one of the few Mexican restaurants in The Hague, plus it is the only restaurant (that I know of) that serves traditional dishes (the rest are Tex-Mex). So if you're used to Tex-Mex, I would highly recommend to go to Kua and try the traditional style Mexican food, as it is totally worth it. As for the service, the waiters are friendly. No negatives there. Despite my positivity about this establishment, there are some negatives. Firstly, the dishes are quite small. This is a shame because it's not advertised as a small plate/sharing type place. Secondly, the restaurant itself is also small, meaning that there isn't much space available, which leads me to my third negative point, you 100% need a reservation. Since the restaurant is small and good, it's quite popular. This means that it's always full and it'll be hard to get a table without having a reservation. Overall, I would recommend Kua mainly because of it's authenticity and the quality of the food. It may not be the best Mexican food ever, but The Netherlands isn't known for it's Mexican cuisine, meaning that Kua is the best restaurant available.

All of the food establishments are fast-food type of joints, but the food they serve is very good. There are also several bars, serving a variety of beers, wines and other drinks. Restaurants, if you can call them that, range from fusion (Korea meets Philly) to Mexican, Thai, Burger, Pizza, Sandwich and other ethnic places. Here is what I had: 1. Pierogi - excellent. They have three kinds - classic (potatoes and cheese), feta and spinach; and ground beef. I asked for a mix - two of each kind - and loved them all. First cooked and than pan fried, they are served with several sauces, grilled onions and bacon bits on top. 2. Korean Cheesesteak - very good. Served with bulgogi type beef with melted cheese on a brioche bun. Just get the food and sit at any of the bars or tables and roaming waitresses will approach you to ask you if you want any beers or other beverages. Also, it's a credit cards only establishment!

Most of the vendors here serve tasty, fresh food. My favorites are The Poke Bar (Classic Tuna…read morePoke) and The Roaming Panda (Asian street food - the fried chicken wings are particularly good), topped off with a Three Cents Ginger Beer. My only complaints are that often times (even during peak meal times), half the food stalls are closed, plus drink service is extremely slow.

The menu is decent, but definitely different than in the US. I chose the Seven Layer Burrito and ordered it without sour cream. So maybe I made it a Six Layer Burrito. I got it with Mountain Dew (of course). The cashier asked me if I wanted my food with nachos or fries and I had to choose fries because WHAT COULD THAT BE? It turns out, the seasoned fries from Taco Bell NL are delicious. This visit fulfilled my craving for Taco Bell. It wasn't a regular Taco Bell trip but it was still really nice and quite satisfying.

Taco Bell is exactly what I remember -- in fact, it's tastes like the best memories I have of the Bell. Like every other fast food restaurant, a side of sauce is extra, but there are three levels of heat for all meats, so I presume the mild, hot and fire sauces are already in the food. Still - fast service and good food, for less cost than the crummy Taco Mundo knockoff. We had the Nachos Supreme, a Stuft chicken burrito and a crunchwrap. While the chicken was perfectly fine, we both loved the beef nachos and crunchwrap. No steak on the menu, but carnitas - which I think would suit the stuft burrito better. The place has 2 floors of seating, a couple little couch areas and a table up front with plugs, like at schiphol, so you can plug in your laptop and get work done. Hopefully they can expand to outdoor seating. I'll be very happy indeed when they expand to the Randstad.
