Earlier this evening we finally got a chance to try this new(ish) Taco place near Ridgmar Mall. Place is pretty great. Located inside of what used to be a Taco Bueno years ago and it closed down years ago, but now it's home to Taco Master and the name rings true. If you enjoy the "street taco" style tacos, this is a really good option for you. We got two taco plates, kiddo wanted flour tortillas and I prefer corn. We also ordered a quesadilla to split. The tacos are stuffed with beef and you can add salsa, onion, lime, they throw in some cilantro too if that's something you like. The quesadilla was absolutely bursting with chicken fajita meat. I loved the food we got tonight and I'm eager to return and try some other options from their expansive menu. A bit on the pricier side, but quality is there and I think it's worth it. Sure, you can get a cheaper taco at the Bell, but you won't get one with truly delicious beef or chicken and all the accoutrements. Highly recommend, give them a try! read more

I wanna dislike this place, but I can't. It's good. Yes, it's different than legit taquerias out there but it's just as delicious. Taco Master exists and honestly kinda thrives in the space between Tex Mex and actual Mex; they put cheese on their burritos and their salsa comes in these weird little pouches but it all comes together in a way that fools the palate; "this TASTES like authentic Mexican and it LOOKS like authentic Mexican but it's just...not? It's delicious enough that my mouth really doesn't care". That's the conversation I have inside my head each and every time I enjoy one of their burritos. Go try it out; it's Mexican enough to satisfy real Mexicans, but Americanized enough that your average gringo can enjoy. Our go to bfast spot when we have a lull in our mornings at work. Bfast burritos are delicious and well worth the price. I can only finish half so it works for bfast and lunch as well. I wish they opened up a little earlier since we start our day at 7:30am but either way we're fans. Today we're sick and on my way by I stopped for some Caldo. Normal I'm a Caldo de res fan but they didn't have any available. I ordered two pozoles and a Milanesa torta. The pozole is DELICIOUS! I got a taste of home and a wonderful of soup for sleeping off whatever bug we got. Overall, it may take a little bit but well worth the wait. I've only been used the drive thru and usually only a few cars may be in line at once. The prices are very reasonable with the amount of food and overall flavors. read more

I saw a video for this place and I was like I've got to check it out! So, I did what any girl would do. I went to Taco Master's new location. I was taken by surprise when I walked in! First of all, it is not a seat yourself restaurant. They have a hostess as soon as you walk in. She was nice and ready to serve. I thought their Tacos were $1.29 on Tuesdays? I was wrong. They are $2.50 each. I decided to get two Grilled Chicken Tacos. One with Corn Tortilla the other with Flour Tortilla. The Tacos were stacked and filled with a good amount of long skinless Chicken and a minimal amount of Cilantro? It would have been nice if they had Lettuce and Tomato. The Chicken was a little dry and could use some Salt. I sprinkled some Lime on top and it was the perfect touch. Tacos include half Limes verses quarter sized Limes. The ambiance is really nice. It has a modern home like feel. It's so nice, I'm going to come back with my friends. I already know what I'm going to order next time! In sum, I was disappointed about the price of the Tacos and it got worse. Lol. For whatever reason there is a 3.5 % service charge? The Tacos were ok and the price is still pretty good considering all the price increases. I am happy for them. They are no longer in a food court setting they are in a restaurant environment. 4 stars is generous, and only due to the overall amazing quaility of their food. Let's start with the good: - Drive Thru is amazing. Great service, great food, reasonably quick. Always offered a variety of hot sauces. The bad: - Dined in for the first time, and ran into some issues. The wait staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. We were sat down without menus and eventually had to get up to get them ourselves. The Queso was nothing more than Velvetta with Rotel. The burrito was AWESOME, but I wasn't offered any sauces. The waitress kind of disappeared, and I didn't want my food to get cold so I ate it anyway. In short, use the drive thru and eat in your car. The dining area isn't worth it. read more

I REALLY want to hate on this place. Kinda like a new kid shows up in High School. They got my order wrong...ordered a chicken adobado and got a fajita chicken burrito. I paid a $.35 service fee? What's that? Upcharge without getting anything...Now for the pros. The burrito was big like my...arm! And then I thought I was only eating beans and rice but found the chicken hiding at the lower half. It was all good without turning into a hog trough where I wind up wearing half of the juicy food on my hands. The green sauce was good without being too garlicky or spicy. Okay Taco Master. Friendly Gentleman at the drive through. Literally SHOWED me the extra salsa he was putting in the bag whereas, say, "Maestro Taco" says "iTs iN tHe bAg" only for you to drive all the way home and find out you have no salsa for the ten tacos you ordered. Beware! Went through the drive through the first time and Al Pastor tacos were good- need cheese but meat was tasty. So we tried Tuesday night and went in the restaurant. I was sooo disappointed! As we walk in the place looks nice, but we were the only people there. We looked at the menu and couldn't find the taco meals. We decided to get some queso and chips and ordered tacos and side of refried beans. The waitress seemed new and didn't know how to waitress. She delivered our queso and spilled half the chips but didn't offer to pick it up. We had to. The cheese was some of the worst queso I have seen. It had separated and looked like it came from the bottom of the pot. Our waitress stated under her breath, "can't believe they are serving this".It tasted worse than it looked. We had to ask for silverware and it had a very large serving spoon,fork and knife. Crazy! We had already ordered and our waitress asked if we were ready to order. I felt sorry for her as I think she has had no training at all. I really wanted to like this place but with poor service and bad queso that should not have been served, I don't give much hope of surviving. We shouldn't have paid for the queso but did. This was fantastic! The flavor profile is there. Just come and try it. Diverse selection of tacos and meals. Close to base and easy access to the freeway. Buy some tacos and take them home for dinner! Or stay and enjoy lunch. I would recommend 100%. read more

Have you heard the expression, I am a jack of all trades, master of NONE. Well, this does not apply to this restaurant because, they put the master in Tacos! I checked this place out on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy. The server was ready serve and prepare my plate. I ordered a fajita burrito The burrito was filled with seasoned beef, beans, rice, shredded cheese, cilantro, nacho cheese, sour cream, and salsa. I was warned that the salsa is really hot but, it was very good with a unique taste. Unlike, any salsa I've had before. It had a hot after taste. I tried the Mangonada. It is so sweet and cool! I could not stop drinking it! Every sip was sweet and and a little spicy when you got to the end. A few people said, how good it was. I will have to agree with them. Love, love, love the food here. My husband and I were shopping and asked where there was a good place to eat and the two people recommended this Taco Master with good reason! This place deserves to be it's own, stand-alone restaurant instead of an outlet in a dying mall. The service was sensational, the man serving us was so friendly and inviting. The food is probably the best Mexican food I've had in Texas, and took me back to eating traditional Mexican food in Mexico; It's the real deal. $1.00 Taco Pastor on Monday and Wednesday please! I go at least once a week to get some good tacos. I don't care for much else that they offer. So if you want a place that sells good tacos, this is it! If you go any other day the tacos are $2 each unless you get the taco plate, then you have to pay for the rice and beans too. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the exterior or the fact that they have a drive through. This place isn't on the same level as Taco Bell or Taco Bueno. It's MUCH nicer! They have actual sit down dining with tablecloths, real silverware and dishes, and friendly, helpful wait staff. The ambiance and decorations are lovely. The menu is laid out nicely, clear and easy to read. The food is absolutely wonderful. My husband had the carne asada fries, and they were more than enough to fill him up. I had the shrimp cocktail. It was flavorful and delicious without being overly spicy- I really like that they diced the jalapenos instead of just putting in slices, this made me able to get consistent amounts of all the ingredients in each bite instead of some bites being spicy and some not. I also like the amount of sliced avocado included in it. I also got full from it and actually had to take some home (it made a wonderful evening snack!) Our grandson had the child's quesadilla with fries, which came with a cup of sliced strawberries for a dessert and that was a nice surprise. We will be sure to go here again. This was our first day and yes I said day. First we got tacos at the drive thru for lunch and took them home. Wow very good. So we decided we would go back for dinner inside the place. Was pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. Black tablecloths, little candles on the tables and very nicely decorated. Super clean. The food was really good! We started with the Mexican hummus, then ordered a beef gordita plater and beef fajita plate. I compare all gordita's the the best one I had in Midland, Tx and this one is as good. So I found my gordita new home. The fajita plate had grilled onions white and green with a large grilled jalapeno and had very fresh guacamole- I can say it was all very good because I ate some of both!! Sick as a dog from eating there yesterday along with my wife. I'm pretty sure I have food poisoning from meat that had been sitting all day. I've should have known better considering Ridgmar Mall is on its last leg and the gentleman mentioned they were slow that day. Good portions and decent prices but I will never eat there again. Pick up with table cloths. I ordered fideo soup it had no taste. I ordered chicken & mole and my wife ordered taco plate. She got her order first and finished it before I got mine. When I finally got mine and cut into the chicken was cold. Waitress asked if I wanted it heated up and I was sort of speech less. She said she would get me another one. When she finally brought it out I asked her to put it in a to go box. The cook dumped the rice on top of the chicken instead of separating it. I can't rate the food because I wasn't given a chance to order, much less speak to anyone while I waited to be acknowledged for 20 minutes. 5 of those mins was just me standing at the front waiting to be sat when a lady approached me, started walking with the menu then abruptly turned around and told me to sit myself. Not out of the ordinary but I was confused so I sat in a booth. That's when I noticed 3 tables get sat and drinks started without even saying a word to me as I sat there for another 15 mins. And btw, at no point did anyone come close enough for me to ask for anything so I returned my menu to the front and left. Highly disappointed because I just located back to the area and used to frequent the Taco Master in Ridgmar Mall and was excited to try the free standing restaurant and give some support because that's not an easy move to make. All of this was more than likely unintentional but I won't be back just out of principal. It was really embarrassing to have to get up and walk out but honestly I'm more upset about my time not even being acknowledged. The food was horrible I ordered 2 burrito bowls along with 2 burritos. What I received was some containers of some chicken and 4 flour tortillas for the bowls. The burritos were nothing but gristle. 40 dollars down the tubes and on top of that my wife would not eat any of it. I threw 1-1/2 of the burritos away. Food was awful . Saw this place driving by and decided to give it a try. Had a decent lunch crowd. Was a little skeptical as our waiter was so uncomfortable and nervous. We came here for their $1 pastor tacos on Monday through Wednesday. The tacos are considerably cheaper than other places in Fort Worth. Usually ranging at $2.25 and under. Their selection of taco meats is small. They had like four different meats to choose from, but only half the meats were available for us to order. We order the pastor and bistec tacos on corn tortilla. The tortilla itself didn't seem like it was on the grill or pan long enough. It was also very dry and lacking a little bit of oil/grease. I don't like my foods to be too oily or fatty, but this tortilla definitely could have used some. The meat itself tasted like it had been sitting for a while even though they had just cooked it for us. It was just really dry and hard to eat. No amount of sauce would have been able to cover up how dry the meat was. Everything that we got was just really bland and had no flavor to it. Even though the price is cheap, I wouldn't go back again. It really wasn't worth it. There are definitely other taco places that are as cheap and much better than this. read more

Excellent place. Every time I have friends visiting from out of state I make sure to take them here for lunch. Portions are massive, Staff is very friendly, prices are good! My favorite thing to get is the Potato Master with carne asada and all the toppings. (nacho fries) The container probably weighs almost 3 pounds, it could feed 2 or 3 people easy.
