When you see 6 teenage boys not eat the cheese dip it should tell you something. We got two street corn which as excellent and we enjoyed. We ordered one double margarita with a non well tequila and it was $40!!! INSANE because this wasn't a special tequila. Anyway the service was ok but nothing special. The kitchen staff should be trained to look at table when delivering food items to collect dirty finished plates. They dropped items and left without a second glance so we had stacks of plates. The food was not great. They are a gluten free kitchen but Mexican can be GF and excellent. We ordered several different tacos, fish,lobster birria. Lobster quesadilla. The fish was a bit fishy. The others were ok. The quesadillas had are chunks of under cooked bell Peppers that fell out while eating. Those should be fully cooked. The meal arrived and was plated nicely but disappointing to eat. Our waiter came by and said you can just pay using the QR code on the table. He would bring some to go boxes which we declined. There was a weird $5.99 charge for some service. The total bill was $325. So I called and asked for a manager. He said that is the fee for using the QR code (2.5%?)and it was disclosed before paying. The only things that jumped out at me while paying was the 20 23 and "highly popular" 25% tip suggestion. This is where they lost us as customers for ever. It felt very sneaky and under handed. I called and was told by the manager I'd get a one time exception and he would credit it. That hasn't happened. There are many great Mexican restaurants in the area. If this one wants to make it, there needs to be some changes. The food quality needs improving, the service tweaking and get rid of the stupid QR code payment unless it is a free convenient service. Adding a 2+% to already high prices is stupidity as a business. We are paying waiters to not do their job. Disappointing birthday dinner for my son and our wallet
